Is China doing to America with fentanil what the British did to China with opium in the eighteenth century? By Ezequiel Doiny On May 23, 2023 Rep. Murphy wrote in the Washington Examiner "Every day, a family learns the devastating news that a loved one has fallen victim to America’s deadliest drug epidemic: fentanyl. Perhaps it’s a mother awoken in the middle of the night to a dreaded phone call, or a father who comes home and must administer Narcan. " As the only practicing surgeon in Congress, I know that the roots of this epidemic did not appear overnight....

French President Emmanuel Macron warned Wednesday that France faces an "uncivilising process", a government source said, following the violent deaths of a nurse and three policemen and repeated attacks on elected officials. "We must be uncompromising on the fundamentals. There is no legitimate violence, whether verbal or against people," Macron told ministers at a cabinet meeting. "We have to work from top to bottom to counteract this uncivilising process," he added, in comments first reported by daily Le Parisien and confirmed to AFP by a person present in the meeting room. Macron was "calling society to order," a person close...

On May 18, 2023, the Connecticut Senate voted to rectify a defect in their state law. The new law would allow people whose lives and/or pets were threatened by bears to kill the animal. If a bear attempts to enter a building occupied by a person, the person can kill the bear. These commonsense reforms were likely prompted by the experience of Sgt. Lawrence Clarke. Clarke’s situation occurred a year previous to the vote in the Connecticut Senate. On May 12, 2022, Sgt. Clarke killed an aggressive black bear that had damaged his property, killed his livestock, seemed unafraid of people,...

The FBI is continuing to stonewall congressional oversight of the agency’s investigation into a pair of pipe bombs found at the Democrat National Committee and Republican National Committee headquarters on Jan. 6, 2021. On Wednesday, House Republicans on the Judiciary Committee re-upped demands for a comprehensive briefing on the two-year-old case over which the FBI has refused transparency. “Your failure to comply with our request is particularly concerning given recent media reports regarding the pipe bomb investigation,” lawmakers wrote. Earlier this month, an FBI whistleblower told the Washington Times the FBI identified the vehicle the suspect entered shortly after planting...

The manic Manhattan arts professor who held a machete to a Post reporter’s neck and threatened to “chop” him up surrendered to police Thursday. Shellyne Rodriguez, 45, was caught on camera wielding the blade and spewing menacing remarks Tuesday outside her Bronx apartment. She surrendered to the 43rd Precinct in the Bronx just after 7 a.m. Thursday. The shocking chain of events unfolded when the veteran Post reporter knocked on Rodriguez’s door to ask her about viral footage of her cursing out Hunter College pro-life students. ...

(Daily readings from the USCCB)Lifting up his eyes to heaven, Jesus prayed saying: “I pray not only for these, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, so that they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us, that the world may believe that you sent me.” John 17:20–21Over the past couple of weeks, we have been continually reading from Chapter 14–17 of John’s Gospel. These chapters contain Jesus’ Last Supper Discourses and provide us with Jesus’ last sermon, so to speak. Chapter...

In the run-up to the 20-year anniversary of the horrific September 11, 1991 Al-Qaeda terror attacks that destroyed the World Trade Center towers and almost 3,000 innocent lives, most media offered touching remembrances of the victims by their families and friends. Among those victims were more than 400 New York-area cops and firefighters who died trying to save stranded people in the crumbling, scorched towers. But one homosexual New York City filmmaker, Adam Baran, took a novel—some would say twisted—approach to commemorating the somber September 11th anniversary. Baran’s short film, “Trade Center” [see trailer on YouTube HERE], dwells instead on...

Apparently attempting to promote free speech on a Big Tech platform is now “right wing.” At least, that’s what The Atlantic is suggesting in its latest conniption over Twitter 2.0 under owner Elon Musk. Atlantic Staff Writer Charlie Warzel bemoaned in his whiny May 23 piece how “Twitter has evolved into a platform that is indistinguishable from the wastelands of alternative social-media sites such as Truth Social and Parler. It is now a right-wing social network.” Warzel — apparently disturbed that Twitter 2.0 isn’t the Orwellian censorship cesspool it once was — laced his headline with nutty agitprop: “Twitter Is...

It’s official: Anheuser-Busch can’t even give its product away for free after its transgender publicity stunt. Twitter user Michael Haz shared pictures of displays from two stores in beer-loving Wisconsin with the infamous brand attempting to offload 20-packs, originally priced at $15, for free after a rebate. What happened to Biden? He used to be a “reasonable” Senator (reasonable for a racist Democrat, that is), willing to negotiate with the opposition on budgetary issues and the debt ceiling. Now we have “Progressive Joe” who is acting like crazy Progressive Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal from Seattle. {Aka, Seattle’s Worst!} But his newly found Progressive identiy is leading down a terrible path. Rating agencies are putting the US of credit watch because of Biden’s newly found Progressive back bone. (Progressive means progressing towards full blown Communism). Ratings company warns on worsening political partisanship US AAA ratings on review with negative...

Six people who were harmed by COVID-19 injections are suing a slew of top Biden administration officials in the first lawsuit of its kind in the United States. In the complaint, filed on Monday, the plaintiffs allege the U.S. government colluded with social media companies to censor them when they posted factual information about their adverse reactions to the COVID vax, the Defender reported. The group says the government’s mass-censorship enterprise made it difficult for them to form support groups and find information about their injuries on social media. Defendants include Joe Biden, along with other top-ranking White House officials,...

Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) and Rep. Byron Donalds( R-Fla) unleash fury on The View host Joy Behar for claiming Black conservatives don't understand racism in the United States. For those who don't watch the liberal-filled panel talk about things they have no idea about, Behar insinuated that Black Republican Americans, including Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, "don't get" the struggles of being a U.S. African-American because they choose to ignore or never had to face systemic racism. "He's one of these guys, like Clarence Thomas, Black Republican, who believes in pulling yourself up by your bootstraps rather than understanding the...

Because "the F35 JPO does not have an independent record of the global spares pool, and the values of the lost spare parts are not the fully burdened cost, the $85 million of identified losses by [the subcontractor] may not accurately represent the full quantity and value of lost spare parts,” the GAO found. WASHINGTON — The government cannot account for more than $85 million in F-35 Joint Strike Fighter spare parts, a number that is likely far smaller than the actual total of untracked components, the Government Accountability Office has found in a new report. But worse than the...

Pray For The Peace of JerusalemLuke 9 Jesus Heals a Demon-Possessed Boy 37 The next day, when they came down from the mountain, a large crowd met him. 38 A man in the crowd called out, “Teacher, I beg you to look at my son, for he is my only child. 39 A spirit seizes him and he suddenly screams; it throws him into convulsions so that he foams at the mouth. It scarcely ever leaves him and is destroying him. 40 I begged your disciples to drive it out, but they could not.” 41 “You unbelieving and perverse generation,”...
