In a decision that could have major implications for surfing schools statewide, the California Coastal Commission this month authorized new rules at one of the Bay Area's top beaches for learners, ensuring access for surfing programs after they raised equity complaints that they had long been shut out.

The late Rush Limbaugh would often say of the media: They tell you whom they fear. In light of this Limbaugh truism, the media must fear the rise of Gov. Ron DeSantis after Friday’s hit piece on his wife, Casey DeSantis, in Politico. Rumors have been flying that Ron DeSantis will declare his candidacy for president on Thursday. So while hardcore Trump supporters will guffaw and point to recent polls showing their man far ahead of the Florida governor, they forget that a poll is merely a snapshot in time. Plus, the primaries haven’t begun, it’s over a year until...

Extremism is when someone is so invested in their rigid belief in a cause or ideology that they reject any other viewpoint and are willing to use abusive and harmful tactics to shut down those they believe to be in their way. Aggressive defense of their ideology may include violence to enforce their belief system.

We have previously discussed professors who have violently attacked students or destroyed displays with opposing views. This month there was the Albany professor who shutdown a pro-life display and then resisted arrest. The latest such case comes from Hunter College where Art Professor Shellyne Rodríguez trashed a pro-life display while screaming that it is “f***ing propaganda” and “triggering” for her students. Rodríguez is an adjunct professor teaching art at Hunter and is shown in a video screaming at the students “You’re not educating S**t […] This is f**king propaganda. What are you going to do, like, anti-trans next?”She continued: “This...

Former President Donald Trump's social media company has sued The Washington Post for defamation over an article it published earlier this month and is seeking $3.78 billion in damages. The lawsuit by Trump Media and Technology Group, which owns the Truth Social platform, was filed Saturday night in Florida state court in Sarasota County and accuses one of America's most storied newspapers of publishing a story of libel and slander that the suit claims poses an "existential threat" to the social media company. The spokesperson for The Washington Post did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Sunday....

Editor’s note: On May 20, 2023, the Cook County medical examiner’s office stated that the woman has died. The agency identified her as Linda Chattman, 39, of Chicago. Alton Mills, a 54-year-old man whose federal life sentence was commuted by President Barack Obama in 2015, now faces the potential of another life sentence after officials accused him of shooting and gravely wounding a woman on an expressway in suburban Chicago this week. Mills was held without bail by Judge Thomas Carroll during a bond hearing on Tuesday. Prosecutors told Carroll that the woman Mills allegedly shot was brain dead. She...

Most of us are aware of the age-old fairytale about crying wolf. A shepherd boy repeatedly and falsely tells his fellow villagers that a wolf is attacking his town’s flock. But when an actual wolf appears and the boy calls for help, the townspeople, sick of being played the fool, ignore his pleas. The sheep and boy are promptly devoured by the wolf. Now, it may admittedly be imprudent to carry the fairytale analogy too far, but there is also the one about poor Pinocchio, who falls into the clutches of an evil man, starts telling lies, and sees his...

When the police fail to protect the citizenry, vigilantism is the inevitable response. Self-defense is not only a natural, God-given right, it is an imperative that drives behavior, even in the face of adverse consequences. The well-publicized arrest of Daniel Penny for protecting fellow subway passengers in New York City did not deter passengers on Chicago’s’ Blue Line subway at Grand Station from forcibly subduing an apparently deranged man, who apparently had turned violent. The embedding function has been disabled, so you will have to go here and click through the warning of “potentially sensitive content” to see the video...

Drag artists will lead a government-funded Junior Drag summer camp for kids — which is targeted to attract children as young as 7 years old. The Carousel Theater for Young People in Vancouver will host the drag summer camp for kids funded by various government agencies like the City of Vancouver, Canada Council for the Arts, and more, The Daily Caller reported. The event billed as a “Junior Drag Camp” runs $460 per person and is targeted to kids 7-11. The group also offers a “Teen Drag camp” for kids 12-17, which costs $900 per person. “Do you have an...

Australian government agencies' use of Chinese-made technology has been making headlines again. This time, the potential threat comes from DJI drones produced by China-headquartered company Da Jiang Innovations. A cessation order signed earlier this month will see the Australian Defence Force (ADF) suspend its use of DJI products, pending a six-month security audit of the force's supply chain. DJI drones were being used for training and military exercises. DJI joins a growing list of Chinese technology producers spurring anxiety in Australia and among allies. But the disproportionate focus on Chinese-made technologies might not be doing Australia's national security much good....

Why do we actually have synagogues or churches, what are their purposes, and what is antithetical to those actual purposes? Do orgies and drag queens belong in houses of worship? In these challenging times when religiosity is being attacked by the secular through politics and media, it may be more important than ever to evaluate these questions, look at how so many houses of worship are acting, and whether their behavior is actually consonant with God and religion, or if they are just trying to appeal to the lowest common denominators of humanity in order to increase membership and finances....

First came a single helicopter, flying low over the marshes around the river outside the village, then the rattle of automatic fire scattered the crowds gathered for the weekly market. Next came more helicopters, dropping troops off around the homes and cattle pens. The soldiers moved swiftly, ordering men into the centre of the village, gunning down those trying to escape. When some armed militants fired back, the shooting intensified. Soon at least 20 civilians and a dozen alleged members of an al-Qaida affiliated Islamist group, were dead. Over the next five days, hundreds more would die in the village...

Uniparty propagandist and Deep State shill Bill Barr is waddling from one television studio to the next to tell audiences that the feds will almost certainly indict Donald Trump by late summer for mishandling classified documents. The Cheka FBI has been outed as a criminal enterprise engaged in subverting elections and spying on the American people, but sure, let's get all worked up about whether the president of the United States — in whom the Constitution's Article II executive powers are vested — has somehow inexplicably infringed his own declassification authority. Although Augustus Gloop Barr can barely conceal his joy,...

And just like that, the COVID scam has gone down the memory hole. As the swimming pool in my over 55 community gets set to open on Memorial Day Weekend, there is absolutely no mention whatsoever of having to be "vaccinated" in order to not only use the pool but to be in the clubhouse period. Just a year ago, the little old ladies in my community (with some nervous old men) were all up in arms over the fact that "unvaccinated" people might be in their presence during swimming pool activities. So rules were made and signs were posted,...

Its May 21st and Biden still refuses to budge on paring back his massively bloated budget of green energy payoffs. Yet Biden laughingly stated it isn’t his fault if the US defaults on its debt. It is absolutely 100% Biden’s fault and he should be impeached if he fails to meet Republicans half way. (Bloomberg) Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said the US is unlikely to reach mid-June and still be able to pay its bills, underscoring the urgency of the White House reaching a deal with Republicans to raise the debt limit. “Well, there’s always uncertainty about tax receipts and...

Four people were shot and injured after a wild gunfight erupted outside of an Alabama bar early Sunday morning. Three men and a woman were shot near Tin Roof, a bar in Birmingham’s Lakeview Entertainment District, cops said, according to AL.com. An off-duty cop was working inside Tin Roof at about 12:45 a.m. when someone reportedly rushed into the bar to say there had been a shooting outside. Officials found a man who had been shot and a woman who was grazed by a bullet in the parking lot, according to the article.
