n the summer of 2020, the Smithsonian Institution created a chart meant to condemn what it calls “whiteness,” and it listed a number of characteristics it claimed were essential to “white culture.” Among the so-called characteristics it described in pejorative terms was delaying gratification, or saving for the future, what Austrian economists would call low time preference. The chart, which was withdrawn after widespread protest, sought to identify the characteristics needed to build not only an economy but civilization itself with a racist culture. Thus, the kind of lifestyle and values that might culminate in someone having high credit scores...

U.S. businesses slightly lowered their inventories in March as spending tightened and consumers prioritized services over goods. Business inventories declined by an adjusted 0.1% in March after being flat in February, data from the U.S. Commerce Department showed Tuesday. February's reading was revised from an initially estimated 0.2% increase. Economists polled by The Wall Street Journal expected inventories would be flat. Inventories rose by 0.7% at retailers, were flat at wholesalers and slid 0.8% at manufacturers. On an annual basis, total business inventories were up 6.5%, the data showed. The ratio of inventories to sales, which hints at how many...

The former CIA director should have been driven into exile years ago.The just-released Durham report confirmed that the FBI not only failed to corroborate the Steele dossier, Hillary Clinton’s oppo-doc against Donald Trump, but it regularly ignored existing, sometimes dispositive, evidence to keep the investigation alive. Some officials were credulous. Others were devious. But no one “stole” our democracy — other than perhaps intelligence officials and the journalists who helped feed the collective hysteria over Russia.John Brennan, Hamas-loving authoritarian and partisan propagandist, almost surely knew it was a con from the start. Yet he spent four years on television sounding...

GWYNETH PALTROW WITH DAUGHTER, APPLE Actress Gwyneth Paltrow admitted during a recent podcast interview that she wasn't prepared for how much her children’s school in Los Angles, California, taught preteens about sex. The Hollywood star and founder of the newsletter Goop, which also sells beauty products and sex toys, said during a May 3 interview with host Alex Cooper on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast that her children’s school taught sex education to sixth graders. The starlet remembered her daughter Apple, now 19, sitting in the kitchen one day with her friend Emily; the color drained from both of their...

Seven members of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority at the University of Wyoming have called on a judge to declare the membership of 21-year-old Artemis Langford void and to award unspecified damages, according to the lawsuit obtained by Cowboy StateDaily. One of the members has asked the sorority management to ensure that the house is preserved as a “female only” safe space, and a number of members raised concerns about shared bathroom facilities which have no locks. The lawsuit states: “An adult human male does not become a woman just because he tells others that he has a female ‘gender...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. retail sales increased less than expected in April, but the underlying trend was solid, suggesting that consumer spending likely remained strong early in the second quarter, despite growing risks of a recession this year. Retail sales rose 0.4% last month, the Commerce Department said on Tuesday. Data for March was revised slightly lower to show sales dropping 0.7% instead of 0.6% as previously reported. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast sales rebounding 0.8%. Retail sales are mostly goods, which are typically bought on credit, and are not adjusted for inflation. Food services and drinking places are...

Using cheesy training videos to teach Americans to see their neighbors as criminals is equal parts lazy, stupid, and sinister. You meet up with your friend from college. While you went on to make a career for yourself in HR, she married right after graduation and started her family. You are disturbed by how she has changed over the last 10 years. She has doubts about the 2020 presidential election and Covid vaccines, speaks highly of the Dobbs Supreme Court decision, and refuses to drink Bud Light. She has also become quite religious, attending potlucks and Bible studies, and laments...

Seven years later, we learn from Special Counsel John Durham’s report what was obvious seven minutes into this nonsense: The Russian hoax story was a childish prank. The puerile document was created by political opponents of Donald Trump. Duh — and double duh. Those who perpetuated it helped avert peace abroad and destroy tranquility at home. Divide countries, divide the public, and engender paranoid hate; that’s one heck of a prank. In 2016 this Hilary Clinton paid-for schlock piece of fabulist political fantasy was discussed in a White House briefing. Were these a confederacy of dunces, devils, or serious intelligence...

The special counsel’s report provides the summary Americans need to understand the breadth of the malfeasance.. Special Counsel John Durham released his long-awaited report on the Crossfire Hurricane investigation Monday. While the 306-page report includes some new details of the Russia-collusion hoax, the Clinton campaign’s role in the plot, and the FBI and intelligence agencies’ misconduct, much of the content merely rehashes what conservative media have reported for the last five years. Still, our country needed a public record of the events that represent one of the biggest political scandals in American history, and on that front Durham delivered. FBI’s...

VINDICATED: Pioneer Traditional Catholics Were Right! Editor's Note: This article is reproduced from The Remnant Newspaper, March 15, 1973. The following is a summary of an address given on August 7, 1972, by Archbishop Lefebvre to a conference of French priests, his discourse being recorded on tape and then translated and transcribed. Of the following article from The Remnant archive, I’m tempted to say: Drop whatever you’re doing and read this article! Here are the words of a wise man, an outstanding Catholic and something of a prophet. And, let’s not forget: Archbishop Lefebvre was a Council Father at Vatican II....

“I thought womanhood was unsafe before ever experiencing it,” Prisha Mosley told The Post. “I was afraid of a life I hadn’t tasted yet. Now I don’t get to be a woman, fully, and I will never know what it’s like.” The 25-year-old is transitioning back to being a woman after, she said, she was failed by medical professionals who led her down the path to testosterone injections and a double mastectomy by age 18. Prisha said she was rushed through gender transition after being convinced — by activists and therapists — that being born in the wrong body was...

The entire government of the US is corrupt. It has been weaponized against Republicans and the worst part is, there's almost nothing we can do about it. The Durham Report was released yesterday. While it found any number of wrongdoings, there is no recourse to remedy it. Crossfire Hurricane was opened without a predicate and FISA warrants were obtained on a false basis. Hillary Clinton fabricated the phony Russian dossier and Obama and Biden were briefed about it so they could take steps to protect Clinton's skullduggery. James Comey killed off two Clinton investigations- one into the fraudulent Clinton Foundation...

In recent years, we’ve watched Marvel Comics and DC Comics go woke, introducing LGBT versions of your favorite superheroes… with disastrous results. When DC Comics released a woke version of Superman, making the titular character not only bisexual but also a social justice warrior — it only lasted 18 issues before being canceled due to lack of sales. If there was any franchise you could count on to hold onto the wholesome values of the past, you probably thought you could Archie Comics would be a safe bet. Archie Comics has been a beloved brand for generations, captivating readers with its...

Excerpted Durham offers little that’s new. Who was pulling the strings above the level of some top FBI people? Does Durham seriously expect us to believe that the likes of Strzok or McCabe initiated all of this on their own because they hated Trump? What were the interfaces between the Clinton-Obama camps and the DOJ people? These are the really significant questions and, unsurprisingly, the report punts. Its goal is to clean up the FBI rather than to hold the political operatives behind the scenes accountable. And there, much as I predicted over the years, it ends. Durham will have...

An estimated $15 million has been spent by Washington, DC, residents to provide hotels, meals, laundry, English classes, and security to roughly 1,300 illegal migrants who have been welcomed by President Joe Biden and the city’s Democratic government. The Washington Post reported on May 11 the illegal population and the bills are rising fast in the small city of 310,000 household

Savannah Harp, 24, was forced to change her 18-month-old son Emir’s diaper on a bench outside the Ramada Inn in Westchester County on Monday morning after being told that the hotel where she has been paying $150 a night for the past two weeks is now suddenly booked up. Harp, who rebooked each morning to stay at the hotel on Tuckahoe Road with her baby and boyfriend, said she believes they were denied a room Monday after it emerged that up to 100 migrant families could start arriving there. “[The migrants’ are not having to pay out of their own...

A new San Francisco political group is launching an ad campaign sure to get attention: a series of pastel-colored ads joking about the city’s response to the fentanyl crisis, tied together by the jaunty slogan, “That’s Fentalife!" This week, the ads will appear in the Tenderloin and South of Market neighborhoods, the two places where overdose deaths have been the most prevalent. The group responsible — TogetherSF Action — is insistent that the ads aren't insensitive to the hundreds of people who have died from drug overdoses in the city and that the “That’s Fentalife” moniker on the ads comes...

As Ben Bartee noted Saturday, Old Joe Biden’s commencement speech at Howard University “included a hearty condemnation of the alleged scourge of White Supremacy™ in America.” In fact, the alleged president called white supremacy “the most dangerous terrorist threat to our homeland.” Then on Sunday, Homeland Security Secretary and failed Disinformation Governance Board overlord Alejandro Mayorkas agreed with Old Joe, emphasizing that “domestic violent extremism is our greatest threat right now.” Many other Biden regime officials have said the same thing in the nearly two and a half years now that they have been inflicting themselves upon us. The reason...
