(CNN) — A Florida mother won $2 million in the lottery, just days after she finished paying off her daughter’s cancer treatment. Geraldine Gimblet, a resident of Lakeland, won $2 million from a $10 scratch-off lottery ticket, according to a news release from the Florida Lottery. She claimed her winnings as a one-time lump-sum payment of $1,645,000 last Friday, the April 7 news release says. Gimblet told the Florida Lottery she bought the last lottery ticket at her local gas station. “At first, the gas station clerk thought there were no tickets left,” she recalled, according to the news release....

We are getting dangerously close to the “hot phase” of World War III, but most people in the western world don’t even realize what is going on. They simply trust our leaders when they tell us that we will never have to be directly involved in a conflict with Russia, but meanwhile those same leaders continue to push us ever closer to such a scenario. Earlier today, we learned that the UK has now delivered long-range “Storm Shadow” cruise missiles to Ukraine… The United Kingdom has delivered multiple “Storm Shadow” cruise missiles to Ukraine, giving the nation a new long-range...

I just had to post a link to this video. Anyone who can do those Johnny Cash lyrics has practiced a lot. Robinson has a natural connection with the true Patriots across the heartland of this country. And, his conservative credentials can be traced back to his 2018 statement at his county commissioner's meeting where he stood up for the 2nd Amendment rights of the citizens of our nation.

There is a word with which we have all become acquainted over the past few years. That word is disinformation, and, as many politicians assert, it is indeed a danger to democracy. When voters are misinformed, they make bad decisions – and sometimes those decisions are catastrophically bad. Unfortunately, the most influential disinformation campaigns have been conducted not by foreign adversaries but by presidential campaigns here at home, aided and abetted by the Deep State and a compliant and complicit media. Still, the official narrative is that America’s rivals are the problem, and so the Biden administration has used a...

A well-known computer brand has disabled the printers of customers using ink cartridges from rival companies. Hewlett-Packard, or HP, has sparked fury after issuing a recent “firmware” update which blocks customers from using cheaper, non-HP ink cartridges in its printers. Customers’ devices were remotely updated in line with new terms which mean their printers will not work unless they are fitted with approved ink cartridges. It prevents customers from using any cartridges other than those fitted with an HP chip, which are often more expensive. If the customer tries to use a non-HP ink cartridge, the printer will refuse to...

Food costs are still rising, as we see the food-at-home in February 2023 were 10.2 percent higher than in February 2022, and we feel it at the grocery store every day. Yesterday Stefan came home from the store with four full plastic bags and a gallon of milk, and spent more than $200. It is good thing we have emergency survival food we bought almost nine years ago, because it looks like we will be using it unless we win the lottery……..then again we don’t play the lottery, so there goes that idea. With food inflation still topping overall inflation,...

Fast food chain Burger King is set to close up to 400 locations across the country this year, with the under-performing ones being the first to go. According to the Daily Mail, Burger King CEO Joshua Kobza confirmed the closures after the company announced its results for the first quarter of 2023. The earnings release noted that from the start of the year until March, Burger King closed 124 locations – leaving 6,964 restaurants still operating. This is a historic high, said Kobza, as the fast food chain usually closes a couple of hundred stores annually. However, the CEO clarified...

A new large cohort study revealed that people who received the COVID-19 injections were up to 3.5 times more likely to suffer from visual impairment than the unvaccinated. The study, published in the renowned British scientific journal Nature, found that the overall “risk of retinal vascular occlusion in the vaccinated cohort” was significantly higher than in the unvaccinated. Retinal vascular occlusion is a prevalent cause of visual impairment. One common type of retinal vascular occlusion is Retinal Vein Occlusion (RVO), where “the flow of blood from the retina [blood vessels inside the eye]” to the heart is blocked “often because...

The United Kingdom has seen its first baby born using the DNA of three parents, using a process that carries grave ethical ramifications. The BBC reports that the anonymous child was born to two parents with the aid of DNA from a female donor, which comprised 0.1 percent of the baby’s genetic material. The child is believed to be one of fewer than five to have been conceived in this manner worldwide since 2016. Mitochondrial Replacement Technology (MRT), meant to prevent children from being born with mitochondrial diseases, uses in vitro fertilization (IVF) to replace the unhealthy mitochondrial DNA from...

Israeli construction workers were fixing a large water pipe near Jerusalem’s Temple Mount when they noticed mysterious ancient steps. They called on some archaeologists for help, namely Ronny Reich and Eli Shukron. The two proceeded to excavate the site and found one of the most significant archaeological affirmations of the Bible. The steps led down to a 225 feet long pool, the Pool of Siloam. What they discovered matched the exact location of the Bible’s description of the pool. It was next to Hezekiah’s tunnel and near the Temple of the Mount. According to The Bible, King Hezekiah first constructed...

Yevgeny Prigozhin is fuming — again. This time he was triggered by the French parliament designating his Wagner Group of mercenaries as a terrorist organization — and on Wednesday he threatened French President Emmanuel Macron directly. Responding to a question from Russian journalists, Prigozhin claimed that Wagner was saving people in Central Africa — where Wagner has gained a strong foothold and squeezed France’s presence in the region — from French soldiers, who “simply mocked them.” “We can pull out rotten teeth from those bad mouths with pliers,” Prigozhin added. “We can pull out Macron’s teeth and, generally, everyone’s teeth...

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) signed the Physicians Freedom of Speech bill, Senate Bill 1580, on Thursday in addition to three other pieces of legislation the governor’s office says will provide “permanent protections for Floridians from the ‘Biomedical Security State.”‘ SB 1580 allows health care providers and health care payors to have the right to opt out of participation or payment for certain health care services on the basis of conscience-based objections. The bill defines conscience-based objections with respect to “governing documents; any published ethical, moral, or religious guidelines or directives; mission statements; constitutions; articles of incorporation; bylaws; policies; or...

Former U.S. Marine Daniel Penny turned himself in to New York City police on Friday in connection with the chokehold death of Jordan Neely aboard a subway train. [I thought Free Republic might be interested in this headline. Jordan Neely has been promoted from "Mentally Ill Criminal" to "Subway Rider." Not clear if ABC wrote the headline or MSN.com. A movement of ordinary Chicago citizens filed a lawsuit to stop the city government from placing 500 migrants in a southside neighborhood school.“I was placed on a waitlist [for city housing], but I was told that the immigrants were taking priority,” said one speaker:

"I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; "The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches." "Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that...

A U.S. Army officer says a squatter moved into her DeKalb County home while she was serving on active duty, and now she can’t have him evicted. She told Channel 2 Consumer Investigator Justin Gray that she found out when her real estate agent was making final preparations to sell the house. “He’s not a tenant. He’s a squatter,” Lt. Colonel Dahlia Daure said. There are ‘beware of dog’ signs in some windows and cardboard covering others at her Ellenwood home in DeKalb County. Daure says someone she’s never met moved in without her knowledge or permission, and now won’t...

U.S. — A new USA Today poll has found that an overwhelming majority of Democrats are in favor of welcoming immigrants from Central and South America into other people's neighborhoods. The study showed that Democrats are very pro-immigration as long as the immigration is to areas very far away from themselves. "We found that 92% of liberal Americans are 'strongly in favor' of as many immigrants as possible moving into the country, as long as they never have to see them or deal with them in person," said the study's lead researcher, Dr. Henry Bollickson. "When we posed the question...

Deadly fentanyl is killing the equivalent of an entire classroom of children every week, staggering figures show. Fentanyl, a highly potent synthetic opioid that's 100 times stronger than morphine, is ravaging America's youth. A recent study found that fentanyl was responsible for the death of 1,557 children in 2021 — the equivalent of 30 children every week.
