President Joe Biden promised to be the “most pro-union president” in U.S. history. But his push to transition to electric vehicles (EVs) may be costing him a union endorsement — at least for now. United Auto Workers (UAW) President Shawn Fain said in a letter seen by Reuters the union would hold off on endorsing Biden’s re-election bid due to concerns about the EV push. “The federal government is pouring billions into the electric vehicle transition, with no strings attached and no commitment to workers. The EV transition is at serious risk of becoming a race to the bottom,” Fain...

In Hennepin County, Minnesota, 80-year-old Geraldine Tyler fell $2,300 behind in paying her property taxes and an added $13,000 in interest, penalties, and assorted fees. Tyler couldn't afford to pay the accumulated amount. So, the County auctioned off her condo and got $40,000 for it. They did not return the excess over the amount debt owed to the county by Tyler. She is sued for the return of her remaining equity from that sale. This suit has now reached the US Supreme Court. Neal Katyal, the attorney representing Hennepin County, justified keeping the residual amount after deducting the tax debt,...

There has been a flurry of recent filings submitted to the Arizona Supreme Court related to Lake v. Hobbs—the case brought by Republican candidate Kari Lake to dispute the outcome of the 2022 gubernatorial election. Tracy Beanz recently did a complete breakdown of the filings and also gave an update on the Dark to Light podcast highlighting the Chain of Custody (CoC) issues. Once again, a topic came up in the filings that has been at issue since the original trial in December 2022. Specifically, the issue of a signed affidavit submitted into evidence by the Kari Lake legal team...

FOURTH WEEK OF EASTER John 13:16-20Friends, in today’s Gospel, Jesus announces his betrayal just after transforming bread and wine into his Body and Blood. It is of great moment that, immediately after this extraordinary event, Jesus speaks of treachery: “The one who ate my food has raised his heel against me.”In the biblical reading, God’s desires have been, from the beginning, opposed. Consistently, human beings have preferred the isolation of sin to the festivity of the sacred meal. Theologians call this tendency the mysterium iniquitatis (the mystery of evil), for there is no rational ground for it. Therefore, we should...

The first man in the United States to be legally recognized as "nonbinary" now says it was a "sham," and notes that mainstream media and LGBT organizations treat him as though he does not exist. In a Monday article in the Daily Signal, Jamie Shupe, a man who recently desisted back to his biological sex, explained that four years ago he wrote about his decision to live "authentically" as the woman he said he always had been in The New York Times. Three years ago, he asserted he was nonbinary — neither male nor female — and was allowed to...

Following the resignation of Susan Rice from the Biden White House, reports indicate that Michelle Obama is running for president in 2024, according to Newt Gingrich who said that the former First Lady has already kicked off the soft launch of her presidential campaign and Roger Stone, advisor to President Donald J. Trump. Speaking to Maria Bartiromo on the Fox News program “Sunday Morning Futures,” Gingrich said that Democrats are divided about whether to back Biden for a second term following a lackluster first-term performance. He also warned Republicans to take the threat of a third Obama presidency very seriously....

Former President Donald Trump has been banned from talking — or posting — about certain evidence uncovered in the Manhattan District Attorney’s “hush money” criminal case. Justice Juan Merchan handed down the ruling Thursday during a Manhattan Supreme Court hearing after prosecutors sought a protective order to restrict Trump, 76, from publicly revealing any evidence handed over to his legal team as the case unfolds. The judge — who insisted he was not imposing a “gag order” — said Trump was prohibited from talking about evidence specifically obtained by the DA’s Office and turned over to the defense to prepare...

In a May 3 letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, Sens. Katie Britt of Alabama, Tom Cotton of Iowa, Ted Cruz of Texas, and Mike Lee of Utah reveal that they have obtained “post orders” dated May 19, 2022, that claim “USMS is not in a position to enforce” federal and state law. “This is the exact kind of thing from the Biden DOJ that continues to cause people across Alabama and America to fear that there is a two-tiered system of justice in our country,” Britt said in an emailed statement to The Daily Signal. “The simple fact of...

The German government’s top health officials have admitted that no evidence exists to suggest that the use of face masks was effective during the pandemic. Until now, health officials have refused to provide studies that show masking helps stop the spread of Covid or similar viruses. However, Bundestag Vice-President Wolfgang Kubicki has just used his parliamentary prerogatives to put a question to the Health Ministry and compel officials to answer. Kubicki demanded to know what study results the Ministry could cite to demonstrate...
