States are realizing there is a much-needed alternative to today’s watered-down, useless standardized tests: the Classic Learning Test. The days of needing flashcards to study SAT vocabulary words to get into college are over — but not just because more and more schools have decided to jettison standardized testing entirely. Today’s SAT is a shadow of its former self, having been dumbed down and manipulated over the past several decades to serve political ends. In its current form, the test has outlived its usefulness. In fact, Florida lawmakers have affirmed as much in a recent education bill that passed the Florida House...

You know a few months back when all of those wacky, conspiratorial conservatives came up with that baseless accusation that the Democrats were coming for your gas stoves? What ignorant and stupid rubes! Well, would you look at that? New York State, starting in 2026, is going to ban gas stoves and heat from almost all new buildings. They're doing this, of course, to fight the evil sun monster that's causing the earth to heat up. It's not happening. Actually, it is happening and it's a good thing. That's the pattern you see (sometimes with a few extra steps) over...

The liberal media’s obsession with Ron DeSantis has been well-established. DeSantis is catching hell from all sides, though more so from the Trump camp, as he’s a potential 2024 presidential candidate. The New York Times opinion section has an axe to grind with him because he’s turning Florida into an economically vibrant conservative oasis. It’s the state where far-left activism dies a quick death. His latest move involves remaking the board of trustees at a public college, with liberal writer Michelle Goldberg offering warnings for what happens when conservatives take over a higher learning institution. Spoiler alert: nothing changes. Even...

A senior Ukrainian official on Wednesday rejected Russia’s claim that Ukraine sent drones to attack the Kremlin and assassinate Russian President Vladimir Putin. Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak tweeted that Ukraine has fought “an exclusively defensive war” against Russia and does not target any areas inside Russian territory. He questioned the strategic purpose of such an attack against the Kremlin. “This does not solve any military issue. But it gives [Russia] grounds to justify its attacks on civilians,” Podolyak said. He said Moscow’s claims about the alleged drone attack are “predictable,” asserting that Russia is “clearly” planning for a “large-scale...

Has anyone else noticed what seems to be a disturbing trend among Right of Center journalists & pundits? There was a time when what I'm about to write would come off a pure tinfoil hattery, but... well, welcome to 2023. First we start with James O'Keefe. Back in February he was forced out by the board at Veritas back in February. The "reason" was a claim over how much O'Keefe had been spending in his fundraising efforts. While their claim that James was spending significant money was verified by James, the return on investment made it worthwhile. I know that...

Whether churchgoers believe that tithing — giving 10% of one’s income — is a biblical commandment varies depending on age and denomination, according to a recent study. Lifeway Research, an organization that examines ongoing church ministry trends, published a study on April 25 that found more than 3 in 4 American Protestant churchgoers (77%) view tithing as a biblical command that the faithful must abide by today. The study of 1,002 American Protestant churchgoers was conducted online from Sept. 19-29, 2022, using a national pre-recruited panel. The completed sample has a 95% confidence level and the sampling error does not...

Hospitals should be places you can trust to provide comfort and healing when you’re most vulnerable. But that trust may have been shattered by brutal Covid protocols that critics claim turned many hospitals into hellscapes of systematic medical murder. The victims’ stories have been muffled by the mainstream media, but they’re starting to break through. For one thing, lawsuits against three hospitals have been filed in California by 14 bereaved families who claim their loved ones were killed by a deadly protocol. .. American Frontline Nurses are collecting and documenting stories from bereaved families about what happened to their loved...

Tuesday, during an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Jesse Watters Primetime,” Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) touted an effort he and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) had partnered on to combat insider trading within Congress. According to the Florida Republican, his New York colleague was “wrong a lot” but not “corrupt.” “AOC is wrong a lot,” he said. “She’d probably say the same thing about me. But she’s not corrupt. And I will work with anyone and every one to ensure that Congress is not so compromised. We should disallow congressional stock trading for the same reason we don’t allow the referee...

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (WRGB) — A Saratoga Springs city council adjourning early once again. This time, due to outrage over comments by the city’s Public Safety Commissioner, Jim Montagnino, surrounding a Restorative Justice resolution being voted on. This resolution acknowledges and apologizes for the city’s past racial injustices and, also, creates a Restorative Justice panel tasked with looking at the city’s race relations and what can be done to improve that. BLM made it clear to council members that restorative justice to them comes with dropping the charges against the three individuals charged.
