The anti-McCarthy campaign was and always will continue to be the disinformation strategy that continued past the McCarthy times. I read Roger Kimball's essay in Epoch Times applauding an exhaustive, insightful study on the disinformation project of the left by Jacob Siegel in Tablet. My respect for Kimball at Epoch Times and many other sources, as well as my previous great experiences with Tablet commentaries prompted me to review both essays and in many ways both Kimball and Siegel did not disappoint. They were comprehensive in their warnings about disinformation and propaganda dressed up to influence the populace, its effects...

Among the topics, British police who are men - who say they are women - are allowed to intimately search women. (Go to 13:30 in the video.) British police pay to the "Stonewall Diversity Champions scheme," for "advice on gender-neutral facilities and pronouns, which leading barristers have said 'misrepresents" the 2010 Equality Act.'" MURFREESBORO, Tenn., Friday, April 24. Gen. REYNOLDS reports from Liberty the particulars of the McMinnville affair. The main mounted force, under Cols. WILDER and MINTY, arrived at McMinnville at 1 o'clock on Wednesday morning, taking the place almost entirely by surprise. A rebel force, under GRIGSBY, was in front of the town, but Gen. REYNOLDS amused them while Col. WILDER went into the place. GRIGSBY escaped. Col. LONGWORTH, of the Ohio cavalry, struck the railroad, destroyed the telegraph and bridges between Morrison and Manchester, and burned a train of cars and locomotive, together with other spare cars at various places,...

Last week I descanted on the Obama-Biden enemies game, and how it leads to terrors, purges, and culture wars. But this week let us remember the other side of the rule of the educated: the repeated illusion that a few educated geniuses can transform the world's economy. Joe Stalin was first out of the box with his Five-Year Plan, a brilliant scheme to transform the Soviet Union from an agricultural into an industrial state. What could be easier, what with all the brilliant intellectual minds that Stalin had gathered around him, not to mention Joe's extensive library of 20,000 books?...

Ukraine’s military has set up positions on the eastern side of the Dnipro River near Kherson city, the Institute for the Study of War cites Russian military bloggers as saying. Infiltrating the area could be a first step towards trying to dislodge Russian forces from positions they are using to shell and shoot at Kherson. The constant attacks have made it impossible for residents to return to normal life months after Ukrainian troops liberated the city from occupation. Ukrainian military forays across the river could also mark the first tentative steps towards launching a long-awaited spring offensive to reclaim more...

A tale of two disruptors. Prior to the election of Donald J Trump in November 2016, Washington, D.C. was a very different place. Trump's critics claim that he destroyed the stability in D.C. and for a change they are right. But this stability that they refer to was the result of a convenient arrangement between the two parties. On the one side, there were the Bushes and on the other, there was Clinton or Obama. The public elected Clinton because they were tired of Bush. They elected another Bush because they were tired of Clinton. They elected Obama because they...

Fox News died yesterday. The media giant doesn't know it yet because it is on life support, but it died. Tucker Carlson was one of the few media personalities who actually told the truth. The link has been deleted from my news link and everything else I have on Fox has been deleted and is going to stay that way. The Murdochs and their friends have laughed in the face of God for years believing that their wealth shields them from all earthly responsibility. When God decides Fox News and the rest of the evil influencers have done enough, hide...

Longish article. Several embedded videos. Good stuff. Excerpts below. “The latest incident to befall the U.S. Navy’s troubled Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) was an embarrassingly public one, and one that left the brand-new USS Cleveland (LCS-31) damaged in the process of being launched, in front of around 3,000 people, including members of the media. The Navy has now issued a statement providing more details of the collision between the Cleveland — which is the last of the 16-strong Freedom class — and a tugboat involved during the warship’s recent christening.” “No personnel injuries occurred, but there was limited damage” to...

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy said in an interview that former Fox News host Tucker Carlson would make an “good addition” to the 2024 presidential race. In an interview with Politico published Monday, Ramaswamy, who announced his candidacy for president earlier in February, said that he believes Carlson throwing his name in the GOP candidacy hat will be “good for the country.” “I think he’d be a good addition to the race,” Ramaswamy said. “I think someone should only do this if they feel called to do it, but I think it’d be good for the country if he got...

Malindi (Kenya) (AFP) – Kenyan investigators on Tuesday exhumed 10 more bodies from mass graves linked to a starvation cult, bringing the total number of victims to 83, as fears grow of the toll spiking even further. Police have spent days scouring the Shakahola forest near the coastal town of Malindi after receiving a tip-off about a cult led by Paul Mackenzie Nthenge, who urged his followers to starve to death in order to find God. The 10 bodies recovered on Tuesday included three children, as emergency workers clad in white jumpsuits exhumed their remains from shallow graves and also...

Under the leadership of President Joe Biden, the White House and the Federal Reserve have started to lay the groundwork for a programmable, trackable, easily manipulated digital currency. It might sound like something from a dystopian science-fiction novel, but it’s all too real, and it could soon change life in America forever. In March 2022, the Biden administration released a sweeping executive order that directed numerous federal agencies to crack down on digital assets, including on popular cryptocurrencies, as well as to study the potential development of a central bank digital currency (CBDC).

Bogotá (AFP) – Colombia expelled leading Venezuelan opposition figure Juan Guaido on Monday, hours after he arrived in Bogota for a conference on his crisis-torn country. Neither Guaido, recognized in 2019 by more than 50 countries as Venezuela's de facto leader, nor Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro were invited to attend the event. The conference, organized by Colombia's President Gustavo Petro, seeks to restart negotiations between Venezuela's government and the opposition that began in Mexico City in 2021 but reached a deadlock in November. Venezuela's opposition, backed by many countries including the United States, did not recognize Maduro's 2018 re-election in...

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God" (Matt. 5:9). You are a messenger of peace! When Jesus said, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God" (Matt. 5:9), He was referring to a special group of people whom God called to restore the peace that was forfeited because of sin. They may not be politicians, statesmen, diplomats, kings, presidents, or Nobel Prize winners, but they hold the key to true and lasting peace. As a Christian, you are among that select group of peacemakers. As such you have two primary responsibilities....

NEW YORK – Central Asian countries increased imports from China in March by 55% over the year-earlier month, beating the 35% jump in Chinese shipments to Southeast Asia reported previously. Former Soviet republics as well as Turkey and Iran all contributed to a near-record gain in Chinese exports to the region, a focus of Beijing’s Belt and Road Initiative. China’s exports to the region have nearly tripled since 2018. The chart below includes Turkey and Iran in the Central Asian total. Several factors contributed to the export boom, which included every country in the region. China is investing heavily in...

One of our directors recently went to Turkey to check on our partners who have been affected by the terrible earthquake there. Let me say from personal experience, when you see devastation like what they are currently living in, the overwhelming human loss and suffering, there are images and memories that will never leave you. You hardly need me to tell you that there is much suffering in the world, though. Everyone has been touched by anguish in some way. Whole books have been written on this single topic. It would be impossible to touch on every aspect of such...
