The commercial depicts a woman with unwanted facial hair...a mustache. Instead of ordering a hair removal product from Amazon Prime, she has visions of her looking like the late rock star Freddie Mercury and she orders a flashy leather jacket so she can imitate Mercury. Arizona Gov. HB 2332 would have set up a firearms safety education program for students in grades 6-12, while SB 1331 would have allowed Arizonans with concealed carry licenses to lawfully bring their firearms on campus. In her veto letter, Hobbs claimed that “Mandatory firearm safety training in school is not the solution to gun violence prevention,” adding that the proposed course...

He answered questions from the judge, but mostly sat quietly. Gillis, her boyfriend Blake Walsh and their friends got lost while going to another friend’s nearby house. They were driving two cars and a motorcycle when they turned into Monahan’s long, dirt driveway in the town of Hebron, near the Vermont border. As they realized the mistake and turned around, Monahan fired with a shotgun...

CNN — House Homeland Security Chairman Mark Green barred GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene from speaking further in a hearing after she called Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas a “liar” – a stunning example of how Greene’s extreme rhetoric led even members of her own party to shut her down, creating tensions inside the House GOP. Greene, a Georgia Republican, began her time during Wednesday’s hearing by going after Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell of California, who had shown an Instagram photo of her calling to defund the FBI. Greene brought up an incident from several years ago, when...

Mississippi’s public colleges and universities have until Thursday to send an accounting of their spending on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) to the state. In her email, Laura Gray of the office’s Government Accountability Division calls the probe “a performance review” of DEI programs. The Sun Herald recently shared a copy of the email sent to Delta State University in Cleveland and writes that the office made its request based on a similar...

In some cases the claim was supported by a photo of the supposed strike site, showing large-scale devastation and a burned-down building.
