A 12-year-old in Oklahoma is in custody after she allegedly stabbed her 9-year-old brother, according to police. The Tulsa Police Department said the stabbing happened on Thursday night around 11:43 p.m. while the children's parent was sleeping. Police said that the parent learned about the incident when she was woken up by her 12-year-old, who told her that she stabbed her brother.

More Americans said things are going better in the U.S., including the economy and inflation, at the start of 2023 than at the start of last year, according to a new CBS and YouGov poll. The view of how things are going in America is slightly more positive this year, with 34 percent of Americans polled saying things are “going well,” compared to just 26 percent last year.
