Republican Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp has filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) to create a Political Action Committee (PAC). Axios reported Sunday the governor initiated the process to create Hardworking Americans Inc., which will “allow the Republican to boost his national profile” as a possible signal for a U.S. Senate run or even a 2024 run. “Kemp’s unique success defeating a Trump-backed opponent in a primary and a Democrat in a key battleground has made him something of a case study for Republicans. It’s also paved the way for speculation about his future national ambitions,” Axios noted.

After more than two years of insisting that a laptop computer abandoned by President Biden's son Hunter at a computer repair shop was a fake, on November 21, CBS News finally admitted that it had "independently verified its authenticity. From some perspectives I guess we look pretty inept to have taken so long to arrive at the truth. However, on the bright side, our erroneous rejection of its authenticity served the very useful purpose of helping to influence voters to oust Donald Trump from the presidency in the 2020 election." "Based on the stuff that's on the laptop, it looks...

Republican donors: Start spending on the long-term now or quit wasting your money. Imagine you’re barreling down the highway and an accident happens a few feet in front of you. Your ability to respond and avoid a collision is very limited. You’ll probably have very few choices—and it may be that none of them are good. Now imagine the same scenario but this time the accident happens hundreds of feet in front of you. Now your ability to respond—and the choices available—are more plentiful. Politics is kind of like this too. There are the here-and-now activities and battles, and the...

The world's largest active volcano has erupted in Hawaii for the first time in nearly four decades, officials said. Mauna Loa erupted at 11:30 p.m. local time Sunday (4:30 a.m. ET Monday), the U.S. Geological Survey said. It was the first eruption since 1984, according to its Hawaii Volcano Observatory daily update. The eruption began in Moku‘āweoweo, the summit caldera of Mauna Loa, inside Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, the agency said, as it upgraded the volcano's alert level from an "advisory" to a "warning." "At this time, lava flows are contained within the summit area and are not threatening downslope...

And will the NeverTrumpers finally be exposed to have been as contemptible as the NeverQueegers were in The Caine Mutiny? The Left, the NeverTrump Right, and many independents are tiring of Donald Trump’s recitations of prior, however justified, grievances at the hands of the media, the Democratic Party, the administrative state, and hard-core Left. The conventional wisdom runs that Trump’s whines and victimization recitations reveal deep paranoias, and increasingly to an obsessive degree. We are told that his near neurotic obsessions with the unfairness of his critics are alienating the independent voter, who finds Trump’s strolls down 2020-21 memory lane...

Google could be facing more calls from activist investors urging CEO Sundar Pichai and team to cut its OpEx base further, given slowing growth. However, we discuss why Google has been relatively consistent with its OpEx spending over time. Moreover, its OpEx margins have also been trending down, unlike Meta Platforms. Notwithstanding, Google needs to reaccelerate its top line growth to justify a material re-rating. We discuss why the market has likely reflected significant uncertainties in its execution due to substantial macro and competitive headwinds. Maintain Buy. The World Health Organization (WHO) announced on Monday that monkeypox is to be renamed "mpox" in English. "Following a series of consultations with global experts, WHO will begin using a new preferred term 'mpox' as a synonym for monkeypox. Both names will be used simultaneously for one year while 'monkeypox' is phased out," the UN health agency said in a statement. The monkeypox virus was originally identified in monkeys in 1958, but can infect a number of other animals, and is more frequently found in rodents. Although global infection numbers have been declining since August, the virus remains a problem...

The reports come as Russia faces mounting outrage from the international community for numerous alleged human rights abuses in Ukraine Ukrainian citizens have reportedly been tortured, raped and summarily executed by Russian soldiers during the country's invasion of Ukraine, United States Ambassador-at-Large for Global Criminal Justice Beth Van Schaack claimed last week. For instance, Russian soldiers are believed to have murdered residents of Bucha, where dozens of bodies were found in the streets,...

FALMOUTH, Thursday, Oct. 27. Fredericksburgh is not occupied by the enemy in force, merely a picket guard is there on duty. Business is totally suspended. The only flag visible is a British one, floating from a private residence. The soldiers of both armies use the river, and although they are sometimes within hailing distance no firing by either party has taken place since the first day our troops appeared in front of Fredericksburgh.THE PRESIDENT VISITS GEN. BURNSIDE. WASHINGTON, Thursday, Nov. 27. The President quietly left the city about noon on Wednesday, for Belleplaine, where he met Gen. BURNSIDE, and held...

Frantically searching for any explanation but the obvious ones. Even in the face of data showing that Covid “vaccines” do not prevent transmission of the virus but do cause extremely high rates of adverse events to be reported, the US (and much of the world’s) medical establishment remains fully committed to pushing universal vaccinations. The G20 meeting recently included plans for a global vaccine passport that would prevent international travel by those who have resisted the pressure to receive the spike protein-laden jabs, and many august institutions of higher learning such as Yale and the University of California demand that...

After a disappointing midterm, there is nothing more important than getting your mind right for the road ahead. A lot of clear-eyed, hardworking, patriotic Americans are down in the dumps right now. Understandably so. The midterms were an utter disappointment. Midnight mail-in ballot hauls have completely upended elections, transforming almost certain MAGA victories in Arizona and elsewhere into uphill legal battles likely to suffer slow strangulation in Establishment-coddling courts. If America had properly functioning democratic elections where only legal citizens voted secretly and securely after first establishing their identification, Republicans would have a hundred-seat margin in the House. Instead, centrist...

You don't have to like soccer to maybe have a little interesting in the Tuesday match between the USA and Iran in the World Cup, in a loser leave town match. I was never a hockey fan until the USA team with a bunch of college players defeated the hated Russians in the 1980 Winter Olympics, I was throwing things at the TV when the hated Russians defeated the USA basketball team in the 1972 Summer Olympics, in an obvious case of cheating. International sports competitions are a lot more fun when the nations playing each other have a hatred...

Now, following the liberation of the southern city of Kherson, the Ukrainians say they have found four Russian torture chambers where abuses were perpetrated against the civilian population on a “horrific” scale. Ukraine’s Office of the Prosecutor General said the Russians had “illegally detained people and brutally tortured them” using a variety of despicable methods, including “a device with which the occupiers tortured civilians with electricity.” The abundance of evidence accumulated by Ukrainian and international investigators illustrates the industrial scale on which Russian President Vladimir Putin and his henchmen are today committing war crimes in the heart of Europe..... There has been a great deal of discussion of late about how the midterm elections were rigged, if not with outright fraud, at the very least with mail-in ballots and in so many other ways that elections can be manipulated to achieve the desired result. But what is the end game? Where does the Democrat Party want to be in five years, or ten or twenty? We saw that very clearly on September 1, 2022, when Joe Biden made his infamous speech with the red and black background. Biden gave a speech that was without parallel in American history. It...

High-profile Republican members of Congress gained tens of thousands of Twitter followers in the first few weeks of Elon Musk’s reign over the social media network, while their Democratic counterparts experienced a decline, according to an analysis by The Washington Post. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Rep. Adam B. Schiff (D-Calif.) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) all lost about 100,000 Twitter followers in the first three weeks of Musk’s ownership of Twitter, while Republican Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (Ga.) and Jim Jordan (Ohio) gained more than 300,000 each.

Two people were rescued early Monday morning from a plane that was left dangling 100 feet in the air from power lines after it crashed in Montgomery County, Maryland, on Sunday night. Rescue workers pulled the pilot and passenger of the small plane out of the wreckage after they were trapped for several hours after the crash. Officials said both people were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
