Pennsylvania state representatives expect to vote Wednesday on whether to impeach Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner (D); a legislative panel voted to move the idea forward on Tuesday. All 14 attending members of the state House of Representatives Judiciary Committee supported advancing an impeachment bill sponsored by State Representative Martina White (R-Philadelphia). All eight Democrats present for the vote opposed the legislation. Many lawmakers say the far-left prosecutor’s laxity on the job has led Philadelphia to suffer its worst spike in violent crime ever. First elected in 2017, Krasner campaigned on being more lenient than his moderate-to-liberal predecessors, attracting the...

In the 69-minute address, Trump unveiled what he called a “National Greatness Agenda.”“This is what we call a National Greatness Agenda, because our country can be greater than it’s ever been,” Trump said. “Our country is not great anymore. It’s a mess. But our country can be greater than it ever was before. There will be more, much more in the months ahead—and there are so many things we need to do. The road ahead of us will not be easy.”The agenda includes a push to build for the United States a “shield” against intercontinental ballistic missiles, an amendment to...

Clay Travis said today he thought Trump should agree to support the nominee, if he(Trump) did not win the nomination. I think that is an incredibly naive position. Does anyone think the RNC is trustworthy? Would anyone trust Mitch McConnell to be honest and fair? The only way Trump will have any leverage at all is to not to promise to support the ticket if he is not treated fairly. The GOPe Republican Establishment might joins forces with the Democrats to eliminate Trump, or clandestinely work against Trump in the primary. Why do they call it the Uniparty?

An October surge in retail sales is raising doubts about how close the U.S. economy actually is to a recession. Americans spent far more money on consumer goods and services in October than economists had expected, according to Census Bureau data released Wednesday. While high interest rates and stubborn inflation have taken a chunk out of retailers’ profits, it’s done little to keep down sales as a whole. U.S. retailers made $694.5 billion in sales last month, according to the Census Bureau, an increase of 1.3 percent from September. Sales beat expectations of a smaller 1 percent increase, according to...

U.S. climate envoy John Kerry said Wednesday that the U.S. will back proposals to phase out the use of “unabated” fossil fuels at the ongoing COP27 climate summit. “It has to be unabated oil and gas,” Kerry told Bloomberg in Egypt Wednesday. “Phase down, unabated, over time. The time is a question, but ‘phase down’ is the language we supported.” The “unabated” distinction will open the door to continual operation of fossil fuel developments that offset their greenhouse gas emissions with technology like carbon capture.

Sen.
