Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) on Wednesday vowed to “stay out” of the potentially “highly contested” 2024 Republican presidential primary.
“The way I’m going into this presidential primary season is to stay out of it,” McConnell told reporters. “I don’t have a dog in that fight. I think it’s going to be a highly contested nomination fight with other candidates entering.”
It is well known McConnell was not the biggest supporter of former President Donald Trump, who announced he was running for president Tuesday night. No other GOP primary contender has entered the race.

I’m not sure why people keep saying this. If that were to happen, the state of Kentucky has a democratic governor, who would love nothing more than to replace a republican with a Democrat.

A legitimate question for all GOP constituents of their GOP senators, "for whom did you vote, Scott of McConnell?".

What does he know about ‘contested’? Only Trump has officially announced, and Asa-hole Hutchinson the Covid-tyrant RINO said he’s considering a run (zero chance of success).
Highly contested ? So far it’s just Trump . The only person who could give him a run for his money is Ron and I’d think he stays out of it just so it won’t hurt his chances later on.
