This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the...

ROME — Climate change alarmists are pressing for faster transition away from affordable fossil fuels, insisting that the world has only nine years to avoid a “critical climate change threshold.” Citing the yearly Global Carbon Budget report, Zack Budryk wrote in the Hill Friday that humanity must radically reduce its consumption of fossil fuels to avoid crossing the 1.5-degree warming threshold, warning that at current levels that threshold will be reached in just nine years. Assuming 2022 emissions levels, the Global Carbon Budget to limit global warming to 1.5, 1.7, and 2º C has reduced to the equivalent of 9,...

An update to the story that The Point discussed here. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni vowed to resist mass migration. The low bar at stake here is the migrant smuggling operation in which NGOs pick up mostly Muslim migrants and “rescue them” by transporting them to Italy. The new Italian government lightly put its foot down and refused to let the male migrants leave the smuggling ships and enter Italy. The migrant smugglers claimed that Italy had an obligation to take them because the Muslim migrants were all vulnerable Italy allowed in women, children and anyone sick and said that the...

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that the Republican reaction to the hammer attack on her husband Paul turned off voters. Anchor Dana Bash said, “You alluded to this when I asked about your husband. I want to ask specifically, and point-blank about the fact that there has been such extremism, such political violence, and what happened to your husband was horrific. Do you think that that had an impact on voters as they cast their ballot?” Pelosi said, “What I’m hearing is it wasn’t just the attack, it was the Republican reaction...

Outgoing Gov. Larry Hogan (R-MD) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that former President Donald Trump kept causing Republicans to lose elections. Anchor Dana Bash said, “You’ve kind of been on an island, maybe a few others are with you, as a Republican warning against GOP extremism and specifically election denialism. How do you interpret the results?” Hogan said, “I’ve been talking about this for years. It seems as if I was the only one talking about it. Today there are a whole lot more people talking about it. The way I would interpret it, look, this should...

Is there anything masking can’t do? Except for control COVID spread, of course. A new study in the New England Journal of Medicine purports to show that mask policies in schools work to contain COVID. But that’s not all: The authors conclude, “We believe that universal masking may be especially useful for mitigating effects of structural racism in schools, including potential deepening of educational inequities.” Sure, masks help fix structural racism. Why not? And the next study will show masking fights climate change. No, what this study shows is that much of the medical establishment continues to be intensely woke...

A Northern California sheriff’s office is cutting daytime patrols throughout its entire county due to a “catastrophic” staffing shortage. The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office said this week it would suspend all daytime patrols beginning Nov. 20, because it does not have enough staff to police around the clock. Instead, the sheriff’s office will patrol the county that lies north of Sacramento near the Oregon border during the night hours, and the California Highway Patrol will respond to emergencies during the day. “Most recently, staffing shortages in the custody division have forced the sheriff’s office to reassign deputies from the operations...

Control of the U.S. House of Representatives could be decided by a handful of close races in California — which could take weeks to determine, thanks to the state’s heavy reliance on vote-by-mail and its liberal voting rules. In Orange County, two incumbent Democrats, Reps. Katie Porter (47th district) and Mike Levin (49th district), are holding onto slim leads. In Ventura County’s 26th district, Rep. Julia Brownley (D-CA) has been reelected despite a last-minute scare from Republican Matt Jacobs. Elsewhere, in closely-contested races in the Central Valley, the results are too close to call, and each new batch of counted...

“See that you not be deceived, for many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and ‘The time has come.’ Do not follow them!” Luke 21:8What an interesting line. What does this mean? Who are the “many” that Jesus speaks of? Are they in our midst today? It may not be helpful to try to point to this or that person or to this or that group of people in reference to the “many” who will come in Jesus’ name falsely. But it is helpful to speak to some general and guiding principles.First, Jesus uses the word “deceived.” There...
