Nowadays, whenever Democrats beat the odds and pull a victory out of (well, you know where), any serious doubt that is cast upon their success is considered by them to be a criminal act. However, when Republicans literally “shellack” the Democrats, democracy itself is being threatened. Way back in 1960, when John F. Kennedy beat Richard Nixon in a true squeaker, my father told me that, had Nixon demanded a recount in Cook County, Illinois, he’d have won the election. Why would my dad say that? In his youth, he was employed to count ballots in Chicago. Well, they didn’t...

Don’t wait for Tuesday’s votes. The results are already in. Hateful lies and violence are winning. Trumpian politicians pushing the fear button on race, crime and immigration feel good about the polls.

MLB All-Star Lenny Dykstra blamed Jill Biden’s appearance at game 4 for the Phillies’ loss. “Better luck next time, #Phillies. Might be better off rolling out that red carpet for Lenny Dykstra instead of Dr. Jill Biden. (9 hits in 3 games since she showed up.)” Lenny Dykstra said on Saturday night. “Since the doctor showed up, the #Phillies went 0-3 with 9 total hits. #TheCooler” Dykstra said with a photo of Jill Biden. “Phillies were leading the World Series 2-1 until the no-hitter changed the momentum for the Astros.” Fox News noted. “[Jill] Biden on Wednesday joined the Stand...

Politicians have long been known for having a loose relationship with the truth. Generally, that takes the form of exaggeration or hyperbole. But the latest craze among Democrats is just making flatly contradictory statements. In this category, it’s hard to top the performance of Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman on Saturday night, when he uttered this immortal quote: I run on Roe v Wade. I celebrate the demise of Roe v. Wade. That's the choice that we have between us, in front of us.”Video at the link if you don’t believe it. Clearly, Fetterman is not all there mentally. But...

HEADQUARTERS OF THE ARMY OF THE POTOMAC, RECTORTOWN, VA., Wednesday, Nov. 5, via Washington, Thursday, Nov. 6, Gen. PLEASANTON remained over night at Markhill, and this morning moved in toward Barber's, five miles distant, and near the month of Chester Gap. Before reaching the town, he came up with Gen. STUART, with 3,000 men and one battery. The enemy had their guns posted on a hill, on the left of the road, but were driven off. Col. GREGG of the Eighth Pennsylvania, charged on them with a full regiment, completely routing them and taking prisoners. As the rebels fled, Capt....

On October 26, 2022, the New York Times published an article focusing on allegations of increased violence after the state of Texas moved to Constitutional Carry in September of 2021.The author, David Goodman, is fairly careful in his allegations, which consist of one incident where an innocent 9-year-old was killed during a defensive shooting and anecdotes from city sheriffs, police leaders, and district attorneys. However, many read only the headline and a few lines after that. The headline implies large problems with permitless (Constitutional) carry. The first incident is an extremely rare occurrence: the death of an innocent during a justified...

“‘But what did you go out to see? A man dressed in soft clothing? Those who wear soft clothing are in kings’ palaces!’” (Matthew 11:8). The easy way is seldom if ever the way of success. Great generals risk their lives just as their troops do. Great athletes train relentlessly, forgoing the pleasure most people take for granted. And in order to help save other lives, medical researchers sometimes risk exposure to deadly disease to find cures. The self-indulgent person is not willing to live as John the Baptist did. He wore camel’s hair and a leather belt and ate...

Here are the key details of the report. On Friday, the Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee released 1050 page report detailing the claims made by myriad whistleblowers at the Federal Bureau of Investigation about the abuse of power and politicization of the nation’s foremost law enforcement authority. They called it "the first comprehensive accounting of the FBI's problems to date, which undermine the FBI's fundamental law-enforcement mission." The following are the key details of the report. The report states that Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray are willing participants in the Biden Administration’s weaponization and politicization...

Barely back home from his November 4 encounter with Chinese President Xi Jinping at Beijing’s Great Hall of the People, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz found himself on the premises of the former Berlin Kindl brewery on Saturday afternoon for a policy debate with 1,000 invited members of his Social Democratic Party (SPD). The most important and overriding outcome of his Beijing trip, Scholz told his comrades, was his and Xi’s joint appeal to Russia not to use nuclear weapons in the war in Ukraine. “That alone made the trip worthwhile,” Scholz said. A leading member of the Scholz delegation who...

Going forward, what are the medical implications of Democrat party governance? What is the most painful lesson the COVID-19 saga has taught the American people? Perhaps it was how, over the past two and a half years, we have been force-fed an extended taste of the dystopian version of "health care" that the Democrat Party and the Washington nomenklatura (but I repeat myself) seek to permanently impose on us. We've lived through it now, so we can't say we weren't warned. However, many people are still dazed and confused, others remain terrified, and some just want to forget that the...

President Biden is a self-described “gaffe machine.” That’s no excuse, of course, for a president making false or misleading statements. Readers have asked for fact checks of a variety of recent Biden statements, but none of them seemed big enough for a stand-alone fact check. So here’s a roundup of some of the president’s recent errors of fact, made as he has barnstormed the country boosting Democrats and raising contributions in advance of the midterm elections. We generally do not award Pinocchios for roundups like this — but for reasons that will become clear, we need to make an exception...

When it comes to fighting inflation, the Democrats always come up with asinine ideas. In this case, Chef Boyardee plays a starring role. Sean Patrick Maloney, a Democrat Congressman from NY AND the fundraising head of the DCCC had his ‘let them eat cake’ moment yesterday. Due to redistricting, Maloney is in a very tight race. As of this last week, it’s now considered a toss-up. Today, he went on NBC’s Meet The Press and informed viewers that Joe Biden has been getting a bum rap and has accomplished a lot more than anyone realizes.

A Just Stop Oil activist today yelled through unconvincing tears: 'You might hate me for doing this,' as she scaled a gantry on the M25 to leave thousands of drivers stranded. Louise Harris, 24, was one of more than a dozen protesters who forced the closure of several sections of the road network during the morning rush hour - despite a court order barring them from disrupting the motorway. Queues tailed back for miles as protests in Surrey - at junction 6 and in three other locations between junctions 8-9, 12-13 and 13-14 - as well as in Hertfordshire at...

Around 4.5 million people are without electricity, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his nightly video address to the nation on Sunday. He called on Ukrainians to endure the hardships and said: 'We must get through this winter and be even stronger in the spring than now.' Russia has focused on striking Ukraine's energy infrastructure over the last month, causing power cuts and rolling outages across the country.

Video posted online showed Rosing barely able to stand as she tries to hit fellow student Kylan Spring, who was working at the front desk of a dormitory on campus.

For voters turned off by extremism, centrists are marketing themselves as an alternative. Many moderate candidates this election cycle are “trying to play to the middle” with red, white, and blue color palettes and inoffensive design, said Shannon Zenner, an assistant professor of communication design at Elon University. “The language of the moderates is to not be offensive to either side. So it’s to not have too much red or too much blue,” she said. “You don’t want to be too patriotic. How do you do that? You keep it really non-partisan, watered down.” Senate candidates like Utah independent Evan...

Trafalgar’s late Sunday night poll showed that 53.9 percent of voters in Ohio would support Vance in the midterm election in just two days, compared to the 43.5 percent who said they would support the Democrat.
