It’s both amazing and unsurprising for a journalist to call for less evidence to be revealed in a story. The ongoing issue with the attack of Paul Pelosi last week is causing some problems for the media, one of those being that the story is, in fact, ongoing. As I mentioned on the last episode of The Lie-Able Sources VIP podcast, had they allowed this to be chalked up to an incident involving a local homeless individual, the story would likely be fading from the news cycle. But the insistence on making this a political hit job on conservatives–in the hopes...

A judge approved New York Attorney General Letitia James's request for an independent watchdog to monitor the Trump Organization's stewardship of financial statements while her civil lawsuit plays out in court. After James petitioned the court last month for an independent monitor until a trial takes place, Judge Arthur Engoron of the New York County State Supreme Court found her office made a strong case for one and ordered former President Donald Trump's company to foot the bill for a monitor that the court will appoint. "This court will appoint an independent monitor, to be paid by defendants, for the...

House Oversight Committee Republicans are kicking off an investigation into what they they called a “taxpayer-funded censorship campaign” at the Department of Homeland Security. Since 2020, the federal agency has been under fire for working with big tech companies to censor certain viewpoints mainly related to election integrity. The GOP launched its investigation after Monday's report by The Intercept dove into how the Feds had begun pressuring tech companies on a range of issues, including COVID-19, the vaccine for it, and Ukraine. The Center Square obtained a letter from the group, led by ranking member Rep. James Comer, R-Ky. The...

Here are two snippets from Wednesday's New York Times piece contending that Republicans have "embraced" plans to cut Social Security and Medicare: "The fact that Republicans are openly talking about cutting the programs has galvanized Democrats in the final weeks of the midterm campaign." "Still, the fact that key Republicans are openly broaching spending cuts to Social Security and Medicare ..." Boy, it sounds like there's a ton of chatter in Washington about cutting entitlements. And it's about time we embraced reform. So, which brave "key Republicans" are "openly talking" and "openly broaching" the idea of reforming Social Security and...

When Napoleon Bonaparte began his 1812 campaign to conquer Russia, he led the largest “coalition of the willing” in history. In addition to its French core, Bonaparte’s army of more than 400,000 consisted of Italian, Dutch, German, and Polish soldiers. They were at best unenthusiastic. Frankly, other than the French, only Napoleon’s Polish allies were truly eager to march on Moscow. By the time Bonaparte’s multinational force reached Moscow, paralyzing cold, ruinous battles, exhaustion, disease, and poor logistical planning reduced the original invasion force to less than half of its original strength. It was not long before Prussia and its...

Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri (PPSLR) has been advertising “free” vasectomies to underprivileged men in the wake of the reversal of Roe v. Wade. According to Planned Parenthood, uninsured men will be able to undergo a “free” (to them) vasectomy, which can cost up to $1,000, at three locations November 3-5 — in Springfield, Joplin, and St. Louis. The vasectomies will be performed in a mobile clinic. It’s advertised as “free” because Planned Parenthood will help the men access Medicaid (taxpayer-funded government health insurance) in order to pay for the vasectomies, which essentially means taxpayers...

At first glance, the connections between the world’s growing population and climate change seem obvious. The more people we have on this planet, the larger their collective impact on the climate. However, a closer look with a longer time horizon reveals relationships between population size and climate change that can help us better understand both humanity’s predicament as the global population nears 8 billion people – a milestone the United Nations expects the world to hit on about Nov. 15, 2022. **SNIP** Using knowledge to reset the cycle again Every species, if left unchecked, would grow exponentially. But species are...

Do you remember trying to comprehend the emphatic denial by Iraq’s “Baghdad Bob” (i.e. Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf) in March 2003 that there were no U.S. troops nor tanks in Baghdad? Most of the cable news networks juxtaposed Bob’s claim with live film of tanks rolling through the streets. Looking foolish was the least of his problems. Made me wonder what would lead a man of education and experience to so fiercely embrace a lie. The world witnessed the same phenomenon with Adolf Hitler during his final days in his bunker beneath the rubble strewn streets of Berlin. Then comes Ukraine and...

A recent conversation between contestants on the reality show “Love Is Blind” has angered members of the Down syndrome community. On the show, contestants start by talking to each other through isolated pods, where they can have conversations without seeing each other face-to-face. Once a marriage proposal is accepted, they are finally able to see each other, and then spend time together in a couples retreat at a resort. Engaged couple Nancy Rodriguez and Bartise Bowden had previously bonded over their mutual love of children, but at 31, Rodriguez was worried that as she got older, she would be at...

[H/T grey_whiskers]ransomnote: The article at the source contains profanity. Below, I excerpted a portion that does not contain words which violate FR's language policy. "But now the data is in fact worse; it shows that exactly the same dynamic that has played out in animals repeatedly over decades occurred again, this time in humans with the doses given. That is, within a few months you become MORE LIKELY to be hospitalized or DIE if you took the jab than if you did not.The paper authors go on to say that they believe that this is a result of people changing...

Tuesday is looking even better for Georgia Republicans after two new polls are showing a widening lead for Herschel Walker in his bid to unseat Sen. Raphael Warnock (D) Echelon Insights has Walker up by four points over Warnock, 49% to 45%. One caveat with that poll is that the margin of error is ±5.4 points, which is a wider margin than most polls. The good news on top of the Echelon Insights survey is that another poll shows Walker with a four-point lead. Remington Research, a GOP pollster, has Walker over Warnock to the tune of 49% to 45%...

NPR listeners heard a baby being killed in an abortion as the mother moaned and cried during a morning news report Thursday. The shocking audio came from an abortion facility in Michigan where an NPR journalist watched an abortionist perform an 11-week abortion. NPR is a taxpayer-funded news organization. “I almost didn’t want to tweet this but it’s something everyone needs to know,” XStrategies’ Greg Price wrote, sharing a 2-minute segment of the report on Twitter. “NPR on the radio this morning played audio of a woman getting an abortion. You can hear the vacuum turning on, crying, moaning, and...

Few Republican politicians elicit as much anger from Democrats as Gov. Ron DeSantis. But the animus they feel toward Florida’s incumbent governor hasn’t translated into big contributions for his Democratic opponent, Charlie Crist. The state’s Democratic gubernatorial nominee has struggled to raise the kind of big money necessary to compete in this year’s race against DeSantis, according to a review of campaign finance records, collecting less cash than some of the state’s previous nominees for governor, Democratic gubernatorial candidates in other states, and even the state’s U.S. Senate nominee this year, Val Demings. The shortfall has been a surprise to...

The abortion lobby manipulates anything and everything to fit their narrative, but they went too far recently when California pro-abortion Democrats used my face to further their radical abortion agenda — and I’m working to put a stop to it. Last week, Hillary Clinton and California Governor Gavin Newsom posted a video on their Twitter accounts in support of Proposition 1, paid for by the California Democratic Party. The video begins by stating, “We are mad, sad, and scared” about the United States Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade, and there is a clip of me sobbing in front of...
