Elon Musk has vowed to fire a whopping 75 percent of Twitter's workforce as part of his plan to take over the company. Corporate documents obtained by the Washington Post reveal that the billionaire told prospective investors in his $44 billion deal to buy the social media giant that he plans to get rid of three-quarters of its 7,500 workers. That would leave the company with just a skeleton crew of just over 2,000 employees, which experts say would make it difficult for the social media company to tamp down on what it deems to be 'misinformation.' -snip- The deal...

President Biden raised eyebrows Thursday when he said that Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman’s wife would be a “great lady in the Senate” — appearing to imply that the Democrat would be unable to serve due to his poor health. “John, thank you very much for running, I really do appreciate it,” Biden said at an event in Pittsburgh. “And Gisele, you’re going to be a great, great lady in the Senate.” Fetterman had a stroke in the same week that he won the May 17 Democratic Senate primary and continues to experience health issues, though he and his campaign...

[Catholic Caucus] Cardinal Hollerich Projects Novus Ordo Group Problems onto CatholicsHomosexualist Jean-Claude Hollerich (Luxembourg's Cardinal), relator general of the Synod on Synods, stated that the disastrous Vatican II “saved the Church” [sic!].He told VidaNuevaDigital (17 October): "If we had not had this point of reform [sic!], which was Vatican II, the Church today would be a small sect, unknown to most people" - which is indeed the current state of the Novus Ordo Church.Hollerich lamented that the strongest opposition to the failed Vatican II came from "the traditionalists," who "are also, curiously, a postmodern phenomenon." It was announced today that the Prime Minister of the UK, Liz Truss, was forced to resign. This is partially true. In reality, she was not forced to resign because of pressure from her Conservative Part, but resigned of her own choice for a separate reason. When confronted with the massive oil and gas shortage that was coming this Winter, Truss was handed a set of knee pads and a tube of Chapstick and told to take appropriate action with the heads of oil and gas exporting nations. Not only was she insulted by this request, but noted that the...

It’s been an emotional week in Barron County, Wisconsin as the community mourns 14-year-old Evah Garcia and 15-year-old Winter Brouillard killed last week in a roll-over crash. Both families said they’ve had to create new fundraising pages after scammers made what appears to be various spoof accounts trying to solicit donations online. “I think it’s just disgusting for people to take advantage of this kind of situation,” said Emilie Bailkey, Winter’s aunt. Bailkey discovered several fake...

“Until proven otherwise, it is likely that Covid mRNA vaccines played a significant or primary role in all unexplained heart attacks, strokes, cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure since 2021.” That’s according to Dr. Aseem Malhotra, a renowned British cardiologist who once endorsed the vaccines on TV but is now raising awareness of their dangers. In September his two–part, peer-reviewed analysis of vaccine efficacy and safety was published in the Journal of Insulin Resistance. Dr. Malhotra made the comments in a new interview with James Freeman Wells, a former Head of U.K. Trade and Business Inflation Statistics at the Office for...

In politics, as in sports, underdogs are often the most interesting people. Modest except in ambition, they take nothing for granted while daring to dream that anything is possible. Lee Zeldin is one of those people. Until recently, he was relatively unknown outside his Long Island congressional district, but he’s now on the cusp of playing David to Gov. Hochul’s Goliath. A series of surveys in recent weeks has showed the race tightening, and a big jolt came Tuesday when the Quinnipiac poll put him behind by just four points. Now there can be no doubt — the race is...

It has been said that sausage is something you can enjoy, but you wouldn’t want to see it made. Then, would you prefer your “meat” extruded from a nozzle in a laboratory? More to the point: Would such a food be as delicious and nutritious as the original item it is trying to displace in the market? Redefine Meat, a startup out of Israel, is one of the latest companies attempting to sell plant-based alternatives to actual meat. Last week the firm announced a partnership that will see its products distributed throughout Europe, according to Reuters. Specifically, Redefine Meat...

WASHINGTON (AP) — Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett on Thursday rejected an appeal from a Wisconsin taxpayers group seeking to stop the Biden administration’s student debt cancellation program. Barrett did not comment in turning away the appeal from the Brown County Taxpayers Association, which also has lost rounds in lower federal courts. The group wrote in its Supreme Court filing that it needed an emergency order to put the program on hold because the administration could begin canceling outstanding student debt as soon as Sunday. Barrett oversees emergency appeals from Wisconsin and neighboring states. She acted on her own,...
