The massive news coverage of Gov. Ron DeSantis’ “political stunt” of sending 50 illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard reminds me of the media’s “political stunt” of referring to illegals as “legal asylum-seekers.” Number one: They broke into our country. They’re illegal aliens. Number two: All asylum claims are frauds. Every single one. Asylum is nothing but a conveyer belt to bring the worst people on Earth to our shores. You say you turned your own country into a hellhole? Fantastic! Come right in! No one gets asylum from a well-run country. Why would we want to admit people who have...

President Joe Biden beat Donald Trump by 61 points in Multnomah County in 2020, which may explain why Democratic nominee for governor Tina Kotek has enlisted the president for a fundraiser this Saturday. Drazan (Republican), meanwhile, is also bringing in some out-of-town talent: Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin will be in Aurora on Oct. 18 for a rally.

President Joe Biden is scheduled to campaign for Democrats in Oregon as their candidates are struggling in a normally safe state. The president will campaign in Portland on behalf of Democrat candidates on Friday, participating in a grassroots volunteer event. Biden’s visit is a political effort to boost Tina Kotek, a Democrat candidate for governor who is in danger of losing to Republican Christie Drazan. “The DC political class is in full panic mode to rescue Tina Kotek’s failing and flailing campaign,” Drazan’s communications director told local media ahead of the president’s visit.

How many brain cells does it take to play a video game? No, really. That's not a joke, and there isn't a punchline. Instead, there's a real actual answer, thanks to a neural network system called DishBrain. If that game is Pong, the number of brain cells is around 800,000. While their slow-moving, one-sided strategy for digital table tennis won't see them win any e-sports championships in the near future, it does reflect the potential in fusing living tissues with silicon technology. VIDEO AT LINK.............. This is the first synthetic biological intelligence experiment that shows neurons can adjust their activity...

The growth rate of real gross domestic product (GDP) is a key indicator of economic activity, but the official estimate is released with a delay. Our GDPNow forecasting model provides a "nowcast" of the official estimate prior to its release by estimating GDP growth using a methodology similar to the one used by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. GDPNow is not an official forecast of the Atlanta Fed. Rather, it is best viewed as a running estimate of real GDP growth based on available economic data for the current measured quarter. There are no subjective adjustments made to GDPNow—the...

Citizen scientists have created deep-space portraits of Jupiter’s moon Europa that are not only awe-inspiring, but also worthy of further scientific scrutiny. Science enthusiasts have processed the new JunoCam images of Jupiter’s icy moon, with results that are out of this world. Citizen scientists have furnished unique perspectives of the recent close flyby of Jupiter’s icy moon Europa by NASA’s Juno spacecraft. By processing raw images from JunoCam, the spacecraft’s public-engagement camera, members of the general public have created deep-space portraits of the Jovian moon that are not only spectacular, but also worthy of further scientific investigation. “Starting with our...

VIDEOAs yet more proof that liberals live in a make-believe world of their own fantasies check out this Canadian Liberal MP who fantasizes about weapons in the trucks that lined the streets of Ottawa during the protests there last winter. Although he seems absolutely sure such weapons existed, he gets brutally fact checked by the interim police chief of Ottawa who very very reluctantly admitted that no weapons in those trucks were ever found. However, as you can see, finally getting that answer from that highly evasive police chief was like trying to painfully extract his tooth.

Joe Biden sat down for a pre-recorded interview with CNN hack Jake Tapper on Tuesday. The interview was a total disaster. Biden mumbled his way through the interview and at one point he dropped his notecards. WATCH: Jake Tapper confronted Joe Biden on his deadbeat son Hunter and possible charges. “Prosecutors think they have enough to charge your son Hunter for tax crimes and a false statement about a gun purchase…how do you react to that?” Tapper asked Joe Biden. Jake Tapper was referring to a recent Washington Post article reporting on possible charges against Hunter. “I’m proud of my...

President Joe Biden once again pledged more gun control, including an “assault weapons” ban, during an interview Tuesday with CNN’s Jake Tapper. The Blaze posted a segment of the exchange in which Biden talked about being in a situation “where we finally have action on guns.” He added, “And by the way, I’m going to get an “assault weapons” ban. Before this is over I’m going to get that again, not a joke.” Biden has been renewing his pledge to “assault weapons” with regularity over the past weeks and months. For example, Breitbart News reported Biden’s October 5, 2022, tweet,...

Salaedin Maksut, Executive Director of CAIR-NJ, on May 11, 2021, played into anti Semitic tropes: The powers that are funding the oppression (his word) of the Palestinian people are the same powers that are funding the oppression (sic) of minority groups in this country. It is the same money. They are cutting the same checks. They are the same people ...(sic)

At the heart of the second trial to come out of Special Counsel John Durham's investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia collusion probe is a story of disinformation. Marc Elias, general counsel for Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign, testified both during a House Intelligence Committee investigation in 2017 and recently during Durham's ongoing probe that he was the one who hired the opposition research firm Fusion GPS to dig up dirt on then-candidate Donald Trump. Fusion GPS went on to commission former MI6 agent Christopher Steele to create the infamous "Steele dossier," which purported to show collusion between Trump's...

We have the transcripts from day 1 of the Igor Danchenko trial. Pretrial matters and jury selection took up all of yesterday morning; openings and the prosecution’s case-in-chief, led by Special Counsel Durham, started in the afternoon. Let’s dig in and start with the opening statements. Special Counsel Prosecutor Michael Keilty opened with explanations of Danchenko’s lies to the FBI and discussed some FBI misconduct: In fact, he went so far as to accuse the FBI of engaging in “troubling conduct” based on the Steele dossier and, as an extension, Danchenko’s misrepresentations:

In less than one month, if Proposal 3 passes, children will have a right under the Michigan constitution to walk into one of Planned Parenthood’s 12 so-called “gender affirming” facilities in the state and, without parental knowledge or consent, obtain puberty blockers. And with Planned Parenthood of Michigan promising “gender affirming” care “via telehealth in the coming months,” Michiganders’ kids won’t even need to leave their house to obtain these sterilizing drugs. Passage of Prop 3 will also give boys a constitutional right to be castrated and girls the right under Michigan’s constitution to be sterilized by way of a...

WASHINGTON, DC — Drawing great inspiration from his brief interview with rap artist and fashion designer Ye West, popular conservative political talk show host Tucker Carlson is preparing to release his first rap album. People who work closely with Carlson first started to notice changes in his personality and dress the morning after he recorded his interview with Ye. "I'm used to seeing him walk into the morning meeting in his normal sport coat and khaki pants," said production assistant Hallie Burton. "But the morning after his interview with Ye, Tucker showed up in a full-body, black rubber jumpsuit and...

JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon slammed the Biden administration in an interview this week over how the U.S. has responded to the energy crisis that has been worsened by Russia’s war in Ukraine by saying the U.S. has taken the wrong approach and the country needs to step up and “play a real leadership role.” Dimon made the remarks during an CNBC interview this week when he was asked about how worried he was about Europe this winter given the war in Ukraine and the energy crisis on the continent. “Well, I think we’re getting energy completely wrong, which is,...

Whether or not to celebrate “LGBT History Month” in South Florida throughout October is a question pitting the school board of one of the largest school systems in the country against some of the schools it governs across 34 municipalities. And the dust-up could put city and school officials in violation of 10 Florida laws, says the leader of a citizen watchdog group

Oct 11 (Reuters) - The six biggest U.S. banks are expected to have set aside nearly $5 billion in the third quarter to cover future loan losses, Wall Street analysts said, as lenders brace for a potential global recession. Profits at big banks got a boost last year as they released funds reserved for potential COVID losses. In the third quarter of last year, they released about $4 billion of loan provisions, according to data from Refinitiv. But with growing fears of a recession as the U.S. Federal Reserve hikes interest rates aggressively to tamp down inflation, reserves in the...

Several media outlets criticized Melania Trump’s fashion choice in 2017 when she left to go visit victims of a hurricane, however the same media outlets neglected to mention First Lady Jill Biden’s similar fashion choice during her post-Hurricane Ian Florida visit on Wednesday. Both President Biden and his wife were photographed leaving for Florida to meet with Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., about ongoing recovery efforts following the Category 4 hurricane hitting the state. One detail some noticed in both Jill Biden’s departure and arrival photo was her choice to wear heels while visiting. Though journalists promoted the photos of the...
