We appreciate your patience over the last several weeks as we have been working on a comprehensive report on Hans Niemann and the events following Magnus’ resignation in the 2022 Sinquefield Cup. We know many of you have been eager to hear from Chess.com, and while there is more we want to research around the topic, we present to you this report on our findings so far. Our report was first referenced by the Wall Street Journal article published on October 4 2022. We know that while we are answering some questions here, more questions will surface, and we look...

Speaking with the star of Breitbart’s My Son Hunter, Laurence Fox, former President Donald Trump said that “going liberal” was the downfall of former Prime Minister Boris Johnson. In an interview with, Laurence Fox — who is currently filling in for Brexit leader Nigel Farage on his primetime GB News programme — former President Donald Trump said that while he still holds personal affection for the ousted British leader, Boris Johnson failed by pursuing leftist policy goals.“Boris was a friend of mine, perhaps he still is but I haven’t spoken to him in a while,” Trump told Fox, adding: “The problem...

Former President Donald Trump is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene in the legal battle over government documents the FBI seized from his Mar-a-Lago estate, a Tuesday filing shows.Trump’s legal team asked Justice Clarence Thomas to issue an emergency order authorizing the special master’s authority to review over 100 documents seized from Mar-a-Lago with classified markings. The request was directed to Justice Thomas because he oversees the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, which ruled last month that special master Raymond Dearie cannot review the documents that were marked classified. The 11th Circuit also ruled that the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ)...

Now that the dramatic, if pointless and expensive, interlude of Musk trying to sabotage his own (extremely overpriced) purchase of Twitter is finally over with Musk conceding to buy the social network at the original proposed price of $54.20.So what's next? Will Musk keep Twitter as is, or will he burn it down, fire all its employees, and rebuild it from the ground up? Conveniently, Musk's Twitter-linked text messages, publicly released as part of the Twitter lawsuit legal disclosure, provide enough information for what Musk really wants in terms of a final product.Buying Twitter is an accelerant to creating X, the...

Walking speed and grip strength could be early indicators of dementia before the onset of noticeable symptoms, a study reveals. Researchers found slow walking speed combined with weak hand grip was a stronger predictor of cognitive decline and dementia in older adults than either measure alone. The study of data from more than 18,000 initially healthy adults, mostly aged 70 and older in the ASPREE trial, revealed that a combined poor gait speed and grip strength was linked to a 79% increased risk of dementia and a 43% increased risk of cognitive decline. Over time, the risk for dementia or...

I read Jazz Shaw’s story this morning about Jeffrey Sachs saying it’s likely the US blew up the Nord Stream pipeline. That’s the line being taken by Tucker Carlson as well. And while I agree there’s no definitive proof either way, at least not anything that has been declassified yet, I think it’s still probable that Russia is responsible.Russia had already cut off the supply of gas through Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 was never operational. So there was no real change in the amount of gas going through the pipeline (or the revenue it produced) before or...

China had a good run both in the media and with our elites for over 3 decades–because there was a ton of money to be made and as with all gold rushes the damage is ignored. Our tech companies rely on the country, our consumer products often come from there, and our entertainment and sports industries have grown reliant on their patronage. It turns out that the bargain we made with the country had larger downsides than expected.President Trump was the first president to fight back against the hollowing out of the American economy, but until COVID hit it was an...

Ever since the recent murder of a 22-year-old Iranian woman by the morality police after she was found not “properly” wearing her headscarf, protests have erupted in the streets of Tehran and other locations around the country. The government has been beating down and/or arresting the protesters, but some of them have continued to take to the streets. Yesterday, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, had clearly had enough of the unrest. He issued a blistering message to let everyone know who the real villains are and why the protests need to stop. This isn’t even about head scarfs, you see....

Overwatch 2's launch on Tuesday has so far been less of a launch and more of a line: thousands of players, including a few at PC Gamer, have been stuck in a lengthy login queue(opens in new tab), only to run into a connection error after making it to the menu. Blizzard president Mike Ybarra tweeted(opens in new tab) this afternoon that this isn't just the result of too many players trying to get in—Overwatch 2 is currently suffering a DDoS attack. Distributed denial-of-service attacks direct large amounts of internet traffic to specific servers, overwhelming them with more connections than...

A new study found that when we eat significantly impacts our energy expenditure, appetite, and molecular pathways in adipose tissue. "In this study, we asked, 'Does the time that we eat matter when everything else is kept consistent?'" said Nina Vujović, Ph.D. "And we found that eating four hours later makes a significant difference for our hunger levels, the way we burn calories after we eat, and the way we store fat." Vujović studied 16 patients with a body mass index (BMI) in the overweight or obese range. Each participant completed two laboratory protocols: one with a strictly scheduled early...

Merrick Garland has made it abundantly clear that he’s a political hack willing to act as Biden’s private police force. Whether it’s ignoring clear violations of federal law by allowing protestors to gather outside the homes of Supreme Court Justices, or ignoring leftist rioters yet sending a grandmother to prison for taking selfies at the Capitol Garland is willing to take and act on marching orders from the left.Garland is perfectly willing to label parents domestic terrorists when asked to. He sent a SWAT team to arrest a pro-life father at gunpoint for protecting his teenage son. Yet, the multiple...

New York subway attackers clad in neon green bodysuits (Credit: YouTube/Crime in NYC)Crime is up everywhere, and horror stories have continued to pour out of big cities like New York and Los Angeles. We’ve seen assailants push unsuspecting victims in front of subway cars, viciously assault them in subway stations, and beat them senseless in even tony neighborhoods. This is life under woke George Soros-backed prosecutors like LA’s George Gascón, Chicago’s Kim Foxx, and Philadelphia’s Larry Krasner. Biden’s Department of Justice, meanwhile, seems like little more than a bystander in the wake of all this mayhem, although they do seem...

Public school enrollment has dropped nationally and locally in recent years, with the trend starting prior to the pandemic in many places, but certainly exacerbated by COVID-19...."COVID impacted everything, and that's probably where we saw our most significant drop, is about a 6% drop from the 19-20 to 20-21," said Buncombe County Schools (BCS) Superintendent Dr. Tony Baldwin. Dr. Baldwin attributes the drop in enrollment to the pandemic, which was a moment of reckoning for many families who decided to switch to homeschooling or other options, like online school, charter school or even private school. He added, the increasing availability...

As they say, life moves fast.On Monday, the New York Times published a story about a “small group of election deniers” who pushed a “conspiracy theory” that “a small American election software company, Konnech, had secret ties to the Chinese Communist Party and had given the Chinese government backdoor access to personal data about two million poll workers in the United States.”On Tuesday, Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón announced that Eugene Yu, Konnech’s CEO, had been arrested in Michigan “as part of an investigation into the possible theft of personal identifying information of [LA County election] workers” and that...

I have been attempting for several days to collect my thoughts on the Russo-Ukrainian War and condense them into another analysis piece, but my efforts were consistently frustrated by the war’s stubborn refusal to sit still. After a slow, attritional grind for much of the summer, events have begun to accelerate, calling to mind a famous quip from Vladimir Lenin: “There are decades where nothing happens; and there are weeks where decades happen.”This has been one of those weeks. It began with the commencement of referenda in four former Ukrainian oblasts to determine whether or not to join the Russian...

Vladimir Putin could be preparing a nuclear test to send a “signal to the West” amid Ukraine war, the report said. A train operated by the country's nuclear programme was seen in central Russia over the weekend, the report said adding that it was heading towards the front line in Ukraine. The train is said to be linked to the 12th...
