President Biden will soon decide on “canceling” up to $10,000 in student loans for millions of borrowers as the Aug. 31 deadline nears, when loan payments are scheduled to begin again after a pause implemented to help young professionals cope with the pandemic-related economic downturn. Seattle firefighters say they are becoming the targets of violent attacks. There have been more than 40 alleged acts of violence reported in the past four months, according to KOMO.
