CNN is apparently desperate to convince Americans to stop taking the glass-half-empty view of absurdly high gas prices that declined somewhat. Look on the bright side, says CNN: think of the small gas price dip as a $100-a-month raise instead! “Next time you stop at a gas station, think of it as a $100-a-month tax cut. Or a maybe $100-a-month raise,” CNN tweeted to its over 59 million followers on Aug. 19. The original CNN Business Senior Writer Chris Isidore’s propaganda piece was headlined: “America just got a $100-a-month raise.” CNN’s tweet was massively ratioed with over a whopping 7,100...

In 2020, the current attorney general, Alejando Gertz Manero, accused Murillo Karam of “orchestrating a massive media trick” and leading a “generalized cover-up” in the case. The arrest came a day after a commission investigating the disappearances said the army bore at least partial responsibility. It said that a soldier had infiltrated the student group involved and that the army didn’t stop the abductions even though it knew what was happening.

Gunfire and explosions shook an upscale hotel in Mogadishu on Friday evening, as police responded to an attack by unidentified gunmen, according to local authorities and witnesses. Police Major Hassan Dahir confirmed to CNN that a gun battle was taking place between gunmen and Somali security forces at the Hayat Hotel in Somalia's capital, in an area frequented by lawmakers and government officials. Two security officials, including Mogadishu intelligence chief Muhidin Mohamed, were wounded in the ongoing attack, Dahir said. Details remained murky, however, as the siege continued. The Al Qaeda-linked terrorist group Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack in...

An elite all-girls school in Nashville that planned to open enrollment to anyone who identifies as female has rescinded the policy following a backlash from parents and alums. Officials from Harpeth Hall, a $33,000-a-year private school in Tennessee, sent a letter to students and parents saying it will continue to only 'serve girls and young women' following criticism over plans to include transgender students, WSMV reported. 'We recognize that this philosophy elicited strong reactions of support and opposition beyond our expectations,' the school leaders wrote. 'Based on the response from our school community, the Harpeth Hall Board of Trustees is...

he FBI unit at the center of the raid at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate has been the subject of much scrutiny over the past several days. In fact, CBS News reported that law enforcement officials are being warned of an increased threat of violence due to such strong opinions about what went down at the residence of the former POTUS. Meanwhile, since the raid, many people have spoken out that the search was unwarranted — despite a court-ordered search warrant having been issued. A new poll also revealed some interesting statistics about how Americans are feeling about the raid. Trump...

It didn’t take long for the job offers to start rolling in for Brian Stelter – and those were some of the better attempted conservative Twitter dunks on the “Reliable Sources” host the day his ouster from CNN was announced. Greg Gutfeld, host and ringleader of Fox News’ after-dark scrum “Gutfeld!,” tweeted mere minutes following the news break Thursday, and kept it simple: “Yo @brianstelter – my show is hiring,” said the host of what is now the highest-rated show in late night. It didn’t take long for the job offers to start rolling in for Brian Stelter – and...

Flying Officer Hardit Singh Malik, an Oxford University graduate, was playing county cricket for Sussex when war broke out. He attempted to join the British Army but was denied entry because of his race, while his fellow students all went to the front line. Still desperate to do his bit, he travelled to France to become an ambulance driver for the French Red Cross, and asked to join the French Air Force. Irate that...

Mainly due to their aesthetic, The Cure have been labelled as goth throughout their career. However, frontman Robert Smith believes it’s an inaccurate judgement of the group and one that’s based entirely on their look rather than their sound. The goth movement began making waves in the early 1980s, and before that moment, no name was attached to people who looked like Smith. The Cure had existed for several years before the subculture truly got underway, and Smith is seen as the forefather to the scene. However, the frontman believes his association with goth culture has been exaggerated beyond reality....

Video A man who is egoistic without understanding himself, which is something of a contradiction and not even remotely amusing, ironically. The man has no chance to be president. The man has no chance, in my estimation, to be even a contender. And for him to be virtue signaling to the MAGA base, a base that he neither understands, is in touch with, nor obviously respects – because that was a condescending and pompously pious statement. Democratic Ohio Rep. Marcy Kaptur released an ad Friday decrying President Joe Biden for allowing China to hurt her state’s solar industry as she faces off against a Trump-backed challenger, according to The New York Times. Kaptur’s ad says Biden is “letting Ohio solar manufacturers be undercut by China,” and she is working with Republican Ohio Sen. Rob Portman to protect jobs. Her general election opponent Republican nominee J.R. Majewski snagged former President Donald Trump’s endorsement in what is considered one of the most competitive congressional races nationwide. The ad claims Majewski is “not happy” and “opposes her All of...

With one of the Republican Party’s most popular figures waiting in the wings to endorse him, Pennsylvania gubernatorial candidate Doug Mastriano took the stage at the Downtown Wyndham on Friday and -- sounding much like his special guest, Florida Gov. Ron Desantis — said the Democrats and their “acolytes” in the media are trying to distract Americans from the real issues. The real issues, Mr. Mastriano said, are rising costs, inflation, gas prices and how Democrats are soft on crime, overbearing on businesses and parents with lockdowns and mandates and stuck on “defending male domination of female sports” — a...

If you have heard a group of Gen Z talking and thought, “What does that word even mean?”, you are probably not part of the generation. You are either a millennial or older. It can be tough to figure out what they mean. Here are some of the most common Gen Z slang terms you may not know. 1. Sus It is a short term for “suspicious”, typically meaning that something is...

The Supreme Court on Friday refused to entertain a petition seeking a ban on Sikh passengers carrying kirpan on domestic flights operating from domestic terminals. A Bench led by Justice Abdul Nazeer, however, granted liberty to petitioner Hindu Sena to approach the high court concerned. The petitioner challenged the Aviation Security order dated March 4, 2022, and corrigendum dated March 12, 2022, issued by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) alleging that the exemption given to Sikhs created a loophole in the safety and security of airports and the aircraft and also safety and security of the passengers. The...

"For some reason modern day Hollywood (AKA Hollyweird AKA Groomers R Us AKA We hate babies!) has become incredibly formulaic, with reboots, remakes and reimaginings ruling the day. Some also say there are too many comic book based movies, even though the stories are unique yet interconnected (think Marvel through Avengers End Game, except for the woke Black Panther and the woker Captain Marvel, rather than DC which has issues). The other problem today is that the same actors are hired for every movie and never seem to play a different character, by choice or due to lack of ability....
