Merrick Garland "will not stand" for attacks on the integrity of Biden’s DOJ and FBI! But just one question—what the heck happened to the rule of law? As the Attorney General turns the FBI into his personal political tool and raids Trump’s Mar-a-Lago, Senator Ted Cruz joins Michael Knowles to break down the consequences of this completely unprecedented move, including what it means for 2024, and expose the utter double-standard the Left is operating under. And speaking of weaponizing the federal government, Dems vote to double (yes, DOUBLE) the size of the IRS… to process our tax returns faster? Certainly...

Tim Scott (R-SC) warned the FBI raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home was, at minimum, “overreach,” and something he said was “devastating.” Scott insisted the right path forward was winning in November to impanel an investigation.

e all know it by now—the pandemic has caused things to get more expensive. Producers are paying more for energy, labor and transportation, and they're passing the cost on to consumers. Rising gas prices are obvious, but at the grocery store, shrinkflation can look like products with suspiciously smaller amounts selling for the same price as before. Or, the products themselves might be changing—the milk, cream and sugar in your favorite ice cream might be replaced with cost-saving bulking agents like corn syrup solids and whey protein. The Consumer Price Index may not even reflect all these shifts: It doesn't...

The new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) COVID-19 guidance is the agency acknowledging it was wrong in the past to downplay natural immunity and promote unprecedented policies like asymptomatic testing, a California epidemiologist says. The new guidance, released on Aug. 11, rescinds and alters a number of key recommendations, including treating unvaccinated and vaccinated people differently for many purposes, explicitly stating that people with previous infection have protection against severe illness, and removing six-foot social distancing advice. “The CDC is admitting it was wrong here, although they won’t put it in those words,” Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, professor of...

Water levels have dropped in major rivers across Europe as the region suffers under a historic drought. In those dry riverbeds, centuries-old warning messages have emerged, locals report. The “horrifying” boulders are known as “Hungersteine,” or “Hunger Stones,” local German reporter Olaf Koens said in an Aug. 11 tweet. One of these stones is embedded in the Elbe River, which runs from the mountains of Czechia through Germany to the North Sea, POLITICO journalist Aitor Hernández-Morales tweeted the same day. The stone, dating back to a drought in 1616, is once again visible in the dry riverbed, Hernández-Morales said. The...

Anyone remember the guy who had a YouTube channel about 10 years ago who reported from DC? His first name was George and he sometimes worked with another guy and a woman who was murdered doing undercover work with him. He followed threads where ever they took him. He was on the Seth Rich story and uncovered a lot of good information. I'd like to search for him on alternative sites. I hope he's still around; he was an impressive investigator. What was his name and is he still around?

Vladimir Putin has waged an energy war on Europe. The general running his campaign is ultra-loyalist and Gazprom PJSC boss Alexei Miller. ... Handicapping Gazprom is Mr. Miller’s decision over the past decade not to enter the market for liquefied-natural gas—a choice that left Gazprom, unlike Russian rival Novatek JSC, near totally reliant on pipelines to export fuel. Gazprom has limited options in the short term to redirect its gas to China and other buyers given its traditionally westward-facing infrastructure. One pipeline to China opened in 2019, but it can’t handle much gas. A second is under negotiation but won’t...

A highly unusual move by the Justice Department to retry Florida nursing home owner Philip Esformes on health-care fraud criminal charges after then-President Donald Trump commuted his 20-year prison sentence is headed to an appeals court hearing as defense lawyers suggest prosecutors are motivated by anger at Trump.
