A. Sorry, but what the government is saying about seeking and executing this warrant doesn't cut it.1. The FBI was at President Trump's home in June and had access to all the boxes.— Mark R. Levin (@marklevinshow) August 12, 2022B. Wouldn't the FBI had known there was "classified" information at that time -- either before they arrived at the home or during their search? The most sensitive national security documents are supposed to be tracked by the relevant agency or department.— Mark R. Levin (@marklevinshow) August 12, 2022C. Did they look in June? If so, didn't they see the documents?...

PHOENIX (AP) — Arizona began moving in shipping containers to close a 1,000-foot gap in the border wall near the southern Arizona farming community of Yuma on Friday, with officials saying they were acting to stop migrants after repeated, unfulfilled promises from the Biden administration to block off the area. The move by Arizona comes without explicit permission on federal land, with state contractors starting to move in 60-foot-long (18.3-meter-long) shipping containers and stacking two of the 9-foot-tall (2.7-meter-tall) containers on top of each other early Friday. They plan to complete the job within days, and the containers will be...

Vos, in a statement first provided to The Associated Press on Friday, said Gableman’s reports “clearly showed concerns and problems with the 2020 election.”

Rep. Tom Emmer has warned that thousands of proposed new IRS agents could easily be “weaponized against conservatives.” The Minnesota congressman appeared on Fox News Wednesday morning to discuss the recent FBI raid of former president Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence, saying “everyone should be concerned” about the weaponization of the Justice Department, which oversees the FBI. “Republican, Democrat, other — everyone in this country should be concerned when the Department of Justice has been weaponized against American citizens, and in this case by the Biden administration against their political opponents,” he said. Emmer added that the same dynamic could play...

President Biden’s senior adviser, Anita Dunn, has revealed a vast investment fortune worth up to $48 million — as well as a series of conflicts of interest. Mandatory ethics disclosure forms made public this week shed light on Dunn’s finances after the longtime Democratic operative left the White House last year following a prior short stint — in what was widely seen as a way to avoid making the reports. Dunn and her husband, attorney Bob Bauer, hold between $16.8 million and $48.2 million in investments, according to papers released by the US Office of Government Ethics. The couple’s sprawling...

Newsmax host Eric Bolling and former National Security Advisor John Bolton had a blowout over Donald Trump’s foreign policy on Thursday. Bolling brought up remarks Bolton made in an interview with ABC News back in 2020 after he left the Trump White House. “I think we’re in a weaker position around the world,” Bolton said of Trump’s foreign policy at the time. “I think we have given up leadership in a wide variety of areas. Bolling confronted Bolton and juxtaposed U.S. standing in the world then under Trump with the country now under President Joe Biden. “Ambassador, under Biden, we...

LONDON (AP) — The World Health Organization says it’s holding an open forum to rename the disease monkeypox, after some critics raised concerns the name could be derogatory or have racist connotations. WHO said the decision was made following a meeting of scientists this week and in line with current best practices for naming diseases, which aims to “avoid causing offense to any cultural, social, national, regional, professional, or ethnic groups, and minimize any negative impact on trade, travel, tourism or animal welfare.” Monkeypox was first named in 1958 when research monkeys in Denmark were observed to have a “pox-like”...

The Russian economy contracted steeply in the second quarter as the economic consequences of its war in Ukraine took hold. The economy shrank 4 percent from April through June compared with a year ago, the Russian statistics agency said on Friday. It is the first quarterly gross domestic product report to fully capture the change in the economy since the invasion of Ukraine in February, when Western sanctions shut Russia off from much of the global financial system, and many countries severed trading relationships with Moscow. It was also a sharp reversal from the first quarter, when the economy rose...

McDonald's has announced plans to reopen outlets in Ukraine, which closed after Russia's invasion in March. The fast food chain said it hoped the move would help restore a "small but important sense of normalcy". There will be a phased reopening over the next several months in Kyiv and western Ukraine in areas deemed safe, the burger giant said. McDonald's had more than 100 restaurants in Ukraine before the conflict started. The company has continued to pay wages to more than 10,000 staff since then. "We've spoken extensively to our employees who have expressed a strong desire to return to...

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — A federal judge has reinstated a moratorium on coal leasing from federal lands that was imposed under former President Barack Obama and then scuttled under former President Donald Trump. Friday’s ruling from U.S. District Judge Brian Morris requires government officials to complete a new environmental review before they can resume coal sales from federal lands. Among President Joe Biden’s first actions in his first week in office was to suspend oil and gas lease sales — a move later blocked by a federal judge — and he faced pressure from environmental groups to take similar action...
