According to the secular media and their heretical ilk, the Jewish view is very complex, with a wide divergence of...

Memorial of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, Virgin Matthew 11:28–30 Friends, in today’s Gospel, Jesus is not offering us one more philosophy of God. He is offering us the view from the inside of the Trinity. And that is why we should respond to his compelling invitation: “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” What everyone wants is rest, but not in the sense of relaxation. Rest here means achievement of joy. The great illusion is that joy will come from filling up the ego with goods. In fact, it will come from...

Concerns are growing over the intensifying risk of a full scale bank run in China, with mass protests held outside bank branches in China’s Henan Province throughout this weekend (July 9 & 10). Asia Markets has verified video and images shared across Chinese social media platforms, including Weibo and WeChat, showing violent clashes between police and depositors who have been unable to withdraw funds. A WeChat user who posted photos from the protest in Zhengzhou told Asia Markets the majority of protestors had come from rural areas and have recently been told that their money, which has been frozen for...

Tier-one auto parts supplier Mahle has announced a groundbreaking "superior continuous torque" (SCT) motor for electric vehicles, capable of continuously pounding out more than 90 percent of its peak power without overheating – and it'll work without magnets. Electric motors, unlike combustion engines, are often specified with separate peak and continuous (or nominal) power ratings. That's because running them flat-out for long periods can generate enough heat to damage components, so manufacturers build in thermal limiting systems that reduce power output down to the continuous level when they start overheating. The difference between the peak and continuous figures reflects the...

A Democrat witness and 'storyteller' with the pro-abortion group We Testify told the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday that her abortion was an 'act of self-love.' Sarah Lopez, who regularly lectures women about abortion, told the committee: 'My abortion was the best decision I ever made.' Lopez continued: 'I am here today to make sure that everybody who currently needs an abortion, who has had an abortion, or will need an abortion, is not alone no matter what the state tries to force up on us.' On We Testify's website, Lopez describes her job saying: 'I share my story because...

Though research into treatments for cardiovascular disease has come a long way in recent decades, heart problems still claim the lives of nearly 18 million people around the world each year. Functional model heart ventricle. (Sargol Okhovatian). A tiny working model of a human ventricle could open fresh new ground in developing novel drugs and therapies, and for studying the development of cardiovascular conditions, giving researchers an ethical, more accurate alternative to existing approaches. Researchers from the University of Toronto and University of Montreal in Canada reverse-engineered a millimeter-long (0.04 inches) vessel that not only beats like the real deal,...

A galaxy about 13.3 billion light-years away (inset in this image of a galaxy cluster from the Hubble Space Telescope and the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array) is the most distant galaxy to show signs of rotation. ====================================================================== There is a galaxy spinning like a record in the early universe — far earlier than any others have been seen twirling around. Astronomers have spotted signs of rotation in the galaxy MACS1149-JD1, JD1 for short, which sits so far away that its light takes 13.3 billion years to reach Earth. “The galaxy we analyzed, JD1, is the most distant example of a...

Face it. The Biden Administration has little interest in trying to increase the supply fossil fuel energy which would anger his “green” base (like building more refineries or allowing for more crude oil and natural gas exploration). So, the burden of “inflation fighting” falls on the frail shoulders of The Federal Reserve. Given today’s US Producer Price Index Final Demand prices rising +11.3% YoY in June, it seems that The Fed has not been able to extinguish the “Tower of Inflation.” But, Fed Funds Futures are pointing to a near 100 basis point (or 1%) increase in The Fed Funds...

The Biden administration continues its ridiculous push for climate change reform, this time choosing salmon over you and still reducing green energy output. This week the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) recommended breaching dams on the Snake River to ensure the survival of endangered salmon. The move would most likely jeopardize power supplies in the Pacific Northwest and worsen the supply chain crisis.

The House of Representatives on Wednesday voted for an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act, making it easier to report unidentified flying objects or UFOs. The amendment creates a secure reporting system for UFOs and would also "prevent unauthorized public reporting or compromise of properly classified military and intelligence systems, programs and related activities." It’s meant for government workers and military personnel to report a sighting without fears of retaliation and asks for the "immediate sharing" of phenomena "previously prohibited from reporting under any non-disclosure written or oral agreement, order, or other instrumentality or means." Rep. Mike Gallagher, R-Wis.,...

NEW YORK – China’s semiconductor industry has lagged the US in patents and lagged South Korea and Taiwan in fabrication, but it hopes to leapfrog its competition by adopting revolutionary new chip design technologies. Advanced chips used in 5G smartphones and some workstations squeeze billions of transistors onto a fingernail-sized chip by shrinking the dimensions of the transistor itself to 3 to 5 nanometers. Most chips have gate widths of 28 nanometers and higher. Etching tiny circuits on silicon is enormously difficult. Only the Dutch manufacturer ASML makes the lithography machines that use the short wavelengths at the extreme end...

It’s probably been hell for the January 6 defendants who have been in jail for months awaiting trial for parading in a capitol building. As far as we know, Ray Epps, who was caught on video literally inciting people to storm the Capitol, hasn’t spent any time in prison. Heck, even January 6 committee member Adam Kinzinger talked with “Ray” (they’re on a first-name basis now) and concluded that he was “just another misled man.” He was let off because authorities say he didn’t do anything wrong. There was a lot of suspicion that Epps was working on behalf of...
