Promotional nights have been a part of baseball games for years, but there will never be anything like what happened at Comiskey Park on July 12, 1979. On that night, a radio promotion led to an on-field storming, a forfeit for the White Sox and a longtime debate on what the night really represented. This is Disco Demolition Night: A promotion featuring popular WLUP disc jockey Steve Dahl and his quest to destroy records featuring disco music — a genre he despised and made fun of on the air during his shows. Josh Harrison stops by after the White Sox...

President Biden appeared to quickly drop his "no handshake" policy during his Middle East tour, leading some to speculate that the White House adopted the policy merely to avoid a politically uncomfortable encounter later in the trip. White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan announced Wednesday that the president would avoid shaking hands during the four-day trip out of an abundance of caution due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The president appeared to abide by the policy when he arrived in Israel, greeting Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid and other officials with fist bumps. But not long after that Biden shook...

Individuals affiliated with the group have deflated the tires of 20 SUVs in Chicago, another 20 SUVs in Scranton, Pa., and 12 SUVs near San Francisco this month, according to the group.

Had COVID? You might want to clean your freezer out. A new study suggests that cousins of the SARS-CoV-2 virus can survive on frozen meat and fish for up to 30 days. The research -- prompted by COVID outbreaks in Asia in which packaged meat was suspected as the virus' source -- was conducted on frozen chicken, beef, pork and salmon. The findings were published recently in Applied and Environmental Microbiology, a journal of the American Society for Microbiology. "Although you might not store meat in the fridge for 30 days, you might store it in the freezer for that...

Manhattan-Brooklyn congressional candidate Yuh-Line Niou has endorsed the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement against Israel in her platform — provoking condemnation from a leading opponent and the head of the state Democratic Party. Niou, a state assemblywoman who represents Chinatown and the Lower East Side, is running for an open seat in the 10th Congressional District that takes in brownstone Brooklyn, parts of heavily orthodox-Jewish Borough Park and downtown Manhattan. “I believe in the right to protest as a fundamental tenet of western democracy, so I do support BDS,” Niou said in an email to the Jewish Insider.

House Democrats' Jan. 6 committee has been showing video clips at its hearings of previously recorded depositions from associates of former President Donald Trump rather than live public testimony. Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon recently offered to testify in public, according to a letter written to the committee by his attorney Robert Costello. The committee has not yet responded to Bannon's offer to testify publicly. Costello told Just the News that the committee prefers to make a "television moment consistent with their narrative" rather than risk the surprises inherent in live testimony. "They do not encourage live testimony," Costello said...

Mayor Eric Adams suggested Tuesday that the girlfriend of the man killed while attacking Manhattan bodega worker Jose Alba should be charged for stabbing the clerk during the fracas. Adams, appearing at an unrelated press conference in Manhattan, was asked about a newly surfaced video that shows the apparent moment Alba was slashed himself while fighting off and stabbing Martin Simon, 35, who attacked him after the clerk got into an argument with his girlfriend. The footage appears to show Simon’s girlfriend pulling a knife from her purse and stabbing the worker as he fatally attacked her boyfriend.

The first clip, released by the NYPD on July 5, showed ex-con Austin Simon, 35, shoving store clerk Jose Alba, 61, against the wall after the younger man walked behind the register of the Blue Moon convenience store in Hamilton Heights on July 1. Police say Simon attacked Alba after the 35-year-old man’s girlfriend got into an argument with the clerk because she couldn’t pay for a bag of chips. The footage showed Alba attempting to walk away from Simon after being shoved, then plunging a knife into his neck and torso repeatedly as the two wrestled with each other.

No one should doubt that Joe Biden is a Manchurian Candidate. The evidence supporting that conclusion is considerable. His actions repeatedly harm American national security and benefit communist China’s quest for economic and political domination of the world. On July 11, Tucker Carlson complemented the work of talented investigative reporters (including those at the Daily Mail, and at the New York Post, which first broached the Hunter laptop story), cataloguing documentary evidence tying the Biden family to influence peddling by the CCP. Carlson went one step farther, however, making the penultimate case that the CCP’s influence peddling has borne fruit...

An ex-con who vanished after being released without bail on gun charges by a soft-on-crime judge was captured by federal agents in Puerto Rico, a source said Wednesday. Frankie Centeno, who allegedly ignored an order to get fitted with an ankle bracelet following his release, was nabbed on the Caribbean island on Tuesday night, the source said. It’s unclear when he’ll be brought back to New York to face prosecution for allegedly being a felon in possession of a firearm. Centeno, who has four gun-possession convictions that date to 2003, was arrested early March 27 inside a Bronx restaurant and...

How many times can Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg get it wrong when it comes to criminals and crime victims? His prosecutors declined to charge the woman who stabbed bodega clerk Jose Alba, arguing that she was just defending her boyfriend. This, though she began the deadly altercation by bringing Austin Simon, her irate ex-con boyfriend, into the store and forcing the 61-year-old Alba to act in self defense. Somehow, Bragg still thinks the bodega worker was the aggressor. After meeting with United Bodegas of America leaders Tuesday, Bragg is hinting that he might drop the second-degree murder charge against...

The U.S. Constitution is overwhelmingly admired by American voters, but most Democrats believe our national charter is tainted by racism and sexism. A new national telephone and online survey by Rasmussen Reports and the Heartland Institute finds that 82% of Likely U.S. voters have a favorable opinion of the Constitution, including 58% who have a Very Favorable view of the document, which was ratified in 1789. Just 14% view the Constitution unfavorably. (To see survey question wording, click here.) The Biden administration is warning pharmacies not to discriminate against women who may seek reproductive health prescriptions, including some that might be involved in ending a pregnancy. The Department of Health and Human Services said Wednesday that pharmacies receiving federal money from programs such as Medicare and Medicaid cannot discriminate in how they supply medications or advise patients on prescriptions. The agency noted that discrimination against people based on their pregnancy or related conditions would be a form of sex discrimination. The announcement comes as the administration seeks to ensure reproductive health services for women following last month’s Supreme Court...

“When Jesus came down from the mountain, large crowds followed Him. And a leper came to Him and bowed down before Him, and said, ‘Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean’” (Matthew 8:1–2). Leprosy was a most feared and contagious disease in the ancient world. Spongy, tumor-like swellings grew on the face and body, and eventually leprosy affected the internal organs and bones. In ancient Israel lepers were vivid object lessons regarding sin. Like leprosy, sin infects the entire person (cf. Eph. 2:1) and is ugly, corrupting—incurable without extraordinary means. Several things stand out about the leper...

Zach Wilson’s ex-girlfriend appears to be dating his college roommate, Washington Commanders wide receiver Dax Milne — after she seemingly accused the Jets quarterback of cheating on her with his mom’s best friend. The world is filled with a lot of brokenness. People are looking for answers and purpose in their lives. This generation has so many fears and doubts, trying to figure out who God is and what he wants from us. One of the gospel writers in particular would’ve understood this well. Matthew probably grew up in a traditional Jewish home; he’d heard all the Old Testament stories and seen all the religion. Something had gone wrong, though; he’d become a tax collector for the Roman Empire, and they were put in the same category as harlots, traitors and sinners. In...

President Joe Biden has long been known for his questionable actions around young children, and a new video provided yet another example of this fact. In the video shared on Twitter, Biden can be seen standing next to a young girl on what appears to be a bike trail in the woods. After a few seconds, he seemingly leaned down and sniffed the girl’s head before whispering something in her ear. Meanwhile, a man standing next to the girl stared into the distance with a straight face. Many social media users responded with disgust after seeing the video. “What mom...
