Rep. Liz Cheney on Wednesday renewed her public call for former White House counsel Pat Cipollone to testify before the January 6 committee in the wake of explosive testimony from former senior Trump administration aide Cassidy Hutchinson. Cipollone warned her that the administration would be 'charged with every crime imaginable' if officials went along with Donald Trump's alleged plan to overturn the election on January 6. Cheney, the committee's vice chair, argued that Hutchinson's testimony and other accounts of Cipollone showing concern about the plot are compelling enough reason for him to testify.

Oil exports leaving the Gulf Coast are projected to reach record highs in the coming weeks as releases from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve boost domestic oil supplies but insufficient refining operations squeeze the ability to process it. The amount of Gulf Coast crude bound for other countries could reach 3.3 million barrels per day in the second quarter, researcher Rystad Energy says. The current record, 3.2 million, was set in the first quarter of 2020, before the pandemic wiped out global demand for oil.

The United States will reassess additional releases of crude oil from the nation's Strategic Petroleum Reserves, White House Envoy Hochstein said on Wednesday, as the Administration struggles to rein in high prices at the pump. The Administration has already vowed to release a million barrels of crude oil from the stockpiles every day into the commercial markets. The plan, anounced at the end of March, was to ultimately release 180 million barrels over a six-month period. The U.S. has become the world’s oil barrel of last resort, singlehandedly keeping prices in the energy market from exploding even higher by selling a large chunk of its Strategic Petroleum Reserve. Washington can’t use the reserve forever: It’s a finite stockpile fighting a potentially unlimited flow shortage. More worryingly, the U.S. is depleting its cache a lot faster than it looks. And that matters. The International Energy Agency earlier this week warned that “global oil supply may struggle to keep pace with demand next year.” The SPR may be the final cushion late this year and in 2023 to...

The Biden administration unveiled a new website this week that directs young girls to information about how to get a secret abortion without their parents’ knowledge. Townhall reports the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services website, ReproductiveRights.gov, provides information about how to get an abortion and how to get others to pay for it now that states may protect unborn babies by banning abortions again.
