Trump-endorsed Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) won her primary election in Illinois against Rep. Rodney Davis (R-IL).
Trump campaigned for Mary Miller near Quincy, Illinois on Saturday.
Rodney Davis is an establishment Republican who has served as US Representative for 10 years.
NBC News reported:
Rep. Mary Miller defeated Rep. Rodney Davis in an House primary in Illinois after redistricting pitted two incumbent Republicans against each other, NBC News projected.
With nearly all of the expected vote counted, Miller held a 15-point edge over Davis.
Miller’s victory marked another win for former President Donald Trump, as well, who backed her as part of his effort to oust several incumbent Republicans deemed insufficiently loyal. Davis ran afoul of Trump by supporting the establishment of an independent commission to investigate the Jan. 6 riot. Davis supported the never-chartered independent commission, not the House select committee now probing the Capitol attack, which held its sixth public hearing Tuesday.
Trump endorsed gubernatorial candidate Darren Bailey also won his primary race with 57% of the vote.
Bailey had over 385,000 votes to the next closest candidate Jesse Sullivan with 105,790 votes.
Make America Great Again.
I like her a lot. Good to hear this.
Amazing numbers .
Another RINO scum bites the dust…..
Internet full of stories how two Trump endorsed Colorado cantidates failed ignoring the 12 Trump endorsed winners from yesterday, so corrupt!
Any more, I just assume that anything from the MSM is BS.
What it really means is that the Dems win, because they gerrymandered a Republican out of a seat.
I realized that after I posted. Still the Democrats won, because they gerrymandered one Republican out of a seat.
Still the Democrats won, because they gerrymandered one Republican out of a seat....
WRONG AGAIN! THEY EDGED OUT ADAM KINZINGER.
Last couple of weeks, The DNC was sending out literature telling me Bailey was too conservative. I laughed at that.
another terrible turn out for the GOP - only 20% of registered Republicans voted on Tuesday in Illinois. Even with a super competitive Governor and Senator race.
Hopefully these lazy voters show up in November.
Man, those 2 look really happy..
I understand Illinois Democrats were really working to get a Bailey win, expecting him to be the easier candidate for Pritzker to beat.
BAILEY is PRITZER’S worst nightmare.
Bailey ought to give a campaign speech in a Chicago cemetery, just to make the point. One ghost, one vote.
