A woman has been arrested for allegedly entering another person’s home and helping herself to food inside. Careena Cae Schroeder, 32, was arrested Tuesday for third-degree burglary. Bond was set at $5,000. Police were called to a home at 1624 Logan Ave. around 4:10 p.m. after the woman entered the house. A resident, who didn’t know Schroeder, was sleeping and awoke to the sound of Schroder eating food in the kitchen. Schroeder then left the house, and the resident followed her Cutler Street. Colleges, K-12 school districts and day care centers in Iowa cannot require students and children to be immunized from COVID-19 under legislation signed into law Tuesday by Gov. Kim Reynolds. The Washington state Supreme Court on Thursday ruled that a person’s race, and law enforcement’s long history of discrimination against people of color, should be taken into account when determining the legality of police seizures. The court also clarified state law to say police have seized a person if an objective observer would conclude that the person was not free to leave or refuse a request.
