“Shots Fired, VA Mall Closed After Fight Within ‘Small Group’”
Lots of safe, comfortable, malls. That’s why I enjoy traveling to other countries.
Small group of oppressed skin groups?
Very. Its right next to McLean where Liz Cheney lives and other politicians.
I was there the last time I visited my daughter. It was on the downhill slide then. It’s not the the white people avoiding the mall that will kill it. Liberal whites will go to signal their virtue. It’s the Asians and Indians and Muslims avoiding it that kills it.
Malls in general are not doing well nor is retail. Tysons has closed many stores an mostly has restaurants now. I think they are turning part of into housing(?).
Urban crime ? No problem.
Guns in the hands of the law-abiding ? Not permissable.
yeah it’s upper class, but people have access to cars, metro and buses.
Let me guess. 🙄
It very much used to be. Don’t know about today. Probably the same issues as Atlanta’s Lenox Mall, which is in a very upper class area.
This won’t make national news much.
Dang…Tyson’s Corner. We used to go there sometimes when I was a teenager. And my mom liked the stores there. It was really nice back then.
Our “regular” mall was Springfield Mall which was also nice. But when we teenagers hung out there, all we did was peruse the record shops, often buying an album, check out stuff at Spencer’s, browse around the department stores, grab a snack from one of the food stands or go to the movies.
It was nothing like these places are now.
Sure but well connected via The Metro and 495 to the greater DC area. Nothing to stop urban youths who want to come and make trouble. It is a beautiful mall.
Haven’t been to the local mall since a band of “teens” of unspecified skin reflectance rampaged through it acting like a herd of simians.
Springfield Mall went into the crapper when Metro got built out to it. Big downhill slide.

Wasn’t the Metro also extended to Tysons, allowing easier access to the mall from a broader population?
Yes, Metro was extended to Tysons, but that happened about 15 years after it was extended to Springfield.
Yes, it is. My first wife and I lived only about a mile from it. Moneyed area, huge upscale retail center.
“Yes, Metro was extended to Tysons, but that happened about 15 years after it was extended to Springfield.”
So Tysons is 15 years behind Springfield in its decay.
Used to be.
My Mom had a house on Blake Lane. The high rise garden took away a nice little three acre piece of heaven. She taught school in Arlington. I taught at Freedom Hill Elementary.
