After 889 days, two primetime media blowouts, and countless time wasted that could be spent solving America’s real problems, the partisan January 6 comittee made a humiliating confession: The committee likely won’t be making any criminal referrals.

The House committee investigating the Jan. 6 riot resumed its public hearings Monday with recordings from depositions from Donald Trump's former attorney general and campaign director to detail how the former president pursued his false claims about the November 2020 election. Bill Barr, the attorney general at the time, said Trump became "detached from reality" in his pursuit of fighting the election result. In a time of rising gasoline demand and refinery bottlenecks, the US could use more octane as the spread between premium gas (octane level of 93) and regular gas (octane level of 87) has blown out.
