Former Vice President Mike Pence traveled to Georgia on Monday with two missions in mind: engaging in a bit of the low-stakes political theater while also, his allies hope, bolstering a public reputation that has even Republicans turning up their nose at the Pence brand. It’s clear Pence excelled at the theatrics; moving his sagging favorability rating will be a tougher challenge. Pence was in Georgia to support Gov. Brian Kemp, who is facing a primary challenge from his right by former Sen. David Perdue. Perdue has the backing of former President Donald Trump and the furious support of the...

In his first appearance in person at Davos since Slamming Trump as a “conman, narcissist” and claiming Mark Zuckerberg was conspiring to get him re-elected in March 2020 (and warned that “the overheated US economy can’t be kept boiling for too long”), billionaire George Soros unveiled his traditionally anticipated annual address, taking aim squarely at China (nothing new there) but adding Russia to his hit list. Meanwhile Soros appointed DAs continue to destroy our civilization. https://t.co/LAUxUwuraj — Timothy Connolly CFA (@SconsetCapital) May 24, 2022 The 90-year-old puppet-master is certainly not getting any younger (looking older than 98-year-0old Henry Kissinger who...

Explanation: The plan was to capture a picturesque part of the sky that was hosting an unusual guest. The result included a bonus — an additional and unexpected guest. The beautiful background features part of the central band of our Milky Way galaxy on the far left, and the colorful clouds of Rho Ophiuchi in the image center. The unusual guest, a dimmed and reddened Moon on the right, was expected because the image was taken during last week’s total lunar eclipse. The timing had to be right because the Moon — both before and after eclipse — would be...

Nevada bettor places $60k total on Mavericks to win West, NBA Finals; here's potential payout. No team in NBA history has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit, but that didn't stop one Nevada bettor from pushing his chips in on the Dallas Mavericks. With the Mavs facing elimination Tuesday night in Game 4 of the Western Conference finals, a bettor at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas just did the unthinkable: he placed a bet on the Mavericks to win their series against the Golden State Warriors. At least two children are dead and more than a dozen children are hospitalized in a Texas elementary school shooting, Uvalde Memorial Hospital confirmed to The Associated Press. Uvalde police announced they have the shooter in custody. The total may be much higher. As many as 14 people have died, including several children, law enforcement sources told ABC News. The shooting occurred in the border town of Uvalde, Texas, about an hour and a half drive from San Antonio, where several patients were transferred to University Health for treatment. All Uvalde school district activities are canceled, and a press conference...

A friend told me yesterday he voted for Biden because he was tired of Trump’s “drama.” He said he “didn’t vote for Jared Kushner or Ivanka” and didn’t like them “hanging around” the White House. “Right message, wrong guy,” he said of Trump. My buddy considers himself a “non-Trumping, Democrat-hating conservative.” I guess his “non-Trumping” bias trumped (heh-heh) his hatred of Democrats. He claimed he had “no idea things would get this bad under Biden.” My friend also doesn’t like the far-left judge in the Bronx who has a habit of releasing violent criminals from jail. He lives nearby. “She’s...

(CNN)The FBI is conducting an internal review into possible misconduct related to the Trump-Russia investigation, including potentially improper handling of a surveillance warrant that was used early in the investigation, an FBI agent revealed Tuesday in federal court. FBI supervisory agent Curtis Heide testified that an administrative inquiry is underway, and that multiple FBI agents are being scrutinized, including himself. Heide said the inquiry is being handled by the FBI's Inspection Division, which conducts internal audits and can refer any wrongdoing it finds to the Office of Professional Responsibility, which can recommend discipline or even firings.

That’s not a rhetorical question, by the way. Seriously, it’s hard not to wonder how it’s possible that Whoopi Goldberg fancies herself to be an authoritative voice on current events. Quite frankly, I can’t understand how that happened. She says a lot of dumb things. Like on Monday, she went into hysterics about the archbishop of San Francisco banning Nancy Pelosi from Holy Communion in his diocese over her pro-abortion views. “The archbishop of San Francisco is calling for speaker Nancy Pelosi to be denied receiving Communion because of her pro-choice stance,” Goldberg noted. “This is not your job, dude....

A federal appeals court on Tuesday temporarily blocked the House Jan. 6 select committee from obtaining Republican National Committee (RNC) records while the GOP challenges a subpoena for documents pertaining to its fundraising efforts in the weeks leading up to Jan. 6, 2021. A three-judge panel for the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals granted the RNC a temporary administrative injunction prohibiting third-party vendor Salesforce from turning over the party’s fundraising records to the select committee. The injunction will remain in effect until the judges decide the RNC’s emergency motion for a more lasting injunction, the panel said in a brief...

An FDA-approved drug to lower blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes also may decrease blood vessel dysfunction associated with aging, according to a new study. Researchers initially examined the role aging plays in human blood vessel function and stiffness. Then they evaluated how treatment with the sodium glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor empagliflozin (Empa) improved blood vessel function and reduced arterial stiffness in aged male mice. "Cardiovascular disease is the main cause of death in older adults in the U.S.," said Camila Manrique-Acevedo, MD. "Weight loss, physical activity, antihypertensive therapy and lipid-lowering drugs have shown variable effectiveness at...

MSNBC has finally confirmed former White House press secretary Jen Psaki will host a streaming show set to debut in 2023 after months of speculation and questions over her cable news feature. She is the latest member of the Biden administration to join the left-leaning network after it hired Kamala Harris' senior spokesperson Symone Sanders to Peacock.

State Farm quickly distanced itself from a program that pushed books about gender fluidity on young children Monday after a new ad campaign slammed the insurance giant as "a creepy neighbor," but Consumers' Research thinks the insurance giant still has to "undo the damage" it caused. "Yesterday we launched our ad campaign calling out State Farm for donating books aimed at kindergartners on the topics of transgenderism and being non-binary… now they claim that they have ended their partnership with the GenderCool Project," Consumers' Research executive director Will Hild told Fox News Digital, calling the turn of events "an indication...

Paul Harvey’s “If I Were the Devil” Transcript from 1965 by Paul Harvey In 1965, Paul Harvey broadcasted “If I Were the Devil.” It is really amazing to realize over 47 years ago how accurately he “prophesied” the future spiritual condition of the United States. Many of his statements were considered ridiculously outlandish at that time in history. Yet, we find ourselves today… PAUL HARVEY’S ‘IF I WERE THE DEVIL’ TRANSCRIPT If I were the devil … If I were the Prince of Darkness, I’d want to engulf the whole world in darkness. And I’d have a third of its...

In academia, there have been growing controversies over language guides and usages, including the use of pronouns that some object to as matters of religion or grammar. Now the largest association of science teachers in the world has issued a guide for “anti-oppression” terminology for science teachers. In the guide, titled “Gender-Inclusive Biology: A framework in action,” the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) has called for “gender-inclusive biology,” which includes the abandonment of terms like “parent,” “men,” “women,” “mother,” and “father.” Under the guide, mothers are now referred to as “persons with ovaries” in reference to reproduction cycles while fathers...

California could soon hold social media companies responsible for harming children who have become addicted to their products, permitting parents to sue platforms like Instagram and TikTok for up to $25,000 per violation under a bill that passed the state Assembly on Monday. The bill defines “addiction” as kids under 18 who are both harmed - either physically, mentally, emotionally, developmentally or materially - and who want to stop or reduce how much time they spend on social media but they can't because they are preoccupied or obsessed with it. Business groups have warned that if the bill passes, social...
