On Monday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “MTP Daily,” Senate Majority Whip Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) stated that “we’re dealing with a transitional economy, coming from a shutdown economy under COVID-19, reemerging, creation of jobs at record levels, but with it, comes the fires of inflation.” And there’s also “a lot” of price gouging. Durbin stated that poor poll numbers for Democrats reflect “history’s reality that off-year elections are not kind to the president’s party. That’s the starting point. Secondly, we’re dealing with a transitional economy, coming from a shutdown economy under COVID-19, reemerging, creation of jobs at record levels, but with...

The road to power is often a rather scenic route. There are undoubtedly various road hazards taking the form of the dreaded counter-revolution. As well as the pesky needs of its people, such as food. Perhaps the most important speed bump or ditch (pick your metaphor) for the power-hungry to avoid is the proliferation of the voice of dissent. Here we find the dark and gloomy path that authors John O’Neil and Sarah Wynne guide their readers down in “The Dancer and The Devil: Stalin, Pavlova, and The Road To The Pandemic”. The book maps out in an informative and...

Joe Biden will use the blood of innocents to paint millions of Americans as “white supremacists” and wannabe terrorists simply for supporting the opposite political party. Joe Biden will travel to Buffalo on Tuesday, ostensibly to join the upstate New York community in mourning the murders of 10 people at a local grocery store over the weekend. It is, of course, appropriate for Biden in his role as president to grieve with Americans devastated by such a brutal massacre of innocents, especially an attack that from all accounts was racially motivated. What’s not appropriate is for Biden to use the...

Italian League party leader Matteo Salvini has warned that if the war in Ukraine does not end soon, chronic food shortages will cause an immigration wave that will lead to 20 million African migrants trying to enter Europe. If Ukrainian grain supplies continue to be impacted, Salvini cautions, “Significant hunger is expected on the African continent, which will be a humanitarian, then a social, and finally an Italian problem.” “Without peace there will be famine in the autumn and 20 million Africans will be ready to go,” he added. Salvini predicts that a new migrant crisis will unfold if a ceasefire...

The Surface Transportation Board held two long open sessions in late April – a total of nearly 18 hours of testimony. The invitation it sent out asked for the Class 1 carriers – the biggest railroads in the country – to send “senior executives” to face questions from the board. The railroads took that to mean executive vice-presidents, corporate attorneys and other key managers. Despite the instructions not calling for CEOs, Robert Primus, a member of the board, lectured each of the representatives who came before him the board that yes, it was good they were there, but their CEOs...

They stoned Paul and dragged him outside the town, thinking he was dead. The disciples came crowding round him but, as they did so, he stood up and went back to the town. The next day he and Barnabas went off to Derbe. Having preached the Good News in that...

In the contest to be the most virtuous of all the states on the “carbon-free” electricity metric, the race is on between California and New York. In 2018 California enacted a bill going by the name “SB100,” which set a mandatory target of 60% of electricity from “renewables” by 2030 (and 100% by 2045). Not to be outdone, New York responded by enacting its “Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act” in 2019, setting its own statutory targets of 70% of electricity from renewables by 2030 (and 100% by 2040). So is any of this real? Or is it just so...

WASHINGTON, May 16. The skillful and gallant movements of Major-Gen. JOHN E. WOOL, and the forces under his command, which resulted in the surrender of Norfolk, and the evacuation of the strong batteries erected by the rebels on Sewall's Point and Craney Island, and the destruction of the rebel iron clad steamer Merrimac, are regarded by the President as among the most important successes of the present war. He therefore orders that his thanks as Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Navy, be communicated by the War Department to Maj.-Gen. JOHN E. WOOL, and the officers and soldiers of his command,...

Seeing Russia invade Ukraine, historically neutral Finland has undergone a late conversion and decided to join NATO immediately. Why? Because NATO membership means the world's strongest power, the United States, under Article 5 of NATO, would go to war against Russia, should it cross Finland's border. Nervous about Russian President Vladimir Putin's intentions, Finland wants America legally and morally bound to fight Russia on its behalf, should Putin invade Finland as he invaded Ukraine. From the Finnish point of view, this is perfectly understandable. But why would the United States consent to go to war with Russia, the largest nuclear...

Source: Townhall Media/Julio RosasFor nearly two weeks, thousands of pro-abortion activists have been protesting at the Supreme Court -- and at the homes of several justices -- hoping to prevent the court from reversing the Jan. 22, 1973, Roe v. Wade decision granting women the right to choose death for their unborn babies without government restrictions. Since then, more than 60 million babies have been murdered. But Roe did more than legalize infanticide; it launched an assault on the sanctity of human life. This past weekend, two mass shootings provided further proof of this assertion. On Saturday, May 14, while...

While many blue states are celebrating communism and socialism in their public-school classrooms, Florida, as usual, is bucking this disturbing trend by ensuring that Sunshine State students learn about the unvarnished horrors these evil ideologies have wrought upon humanity over the past century. On May 9, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed House Bill 395 into law, which establishes November 7 as “Victims of Communism Day.” According to a press release from the Florida governor’s office, the new law “calls for public schools to observe the day. High school students will be required to receive at least 45 minutes of instruction...

The evidence shows that school closures during COVID were an epic public policy blunder. The school lockdowns in many states were arguably the most significant episode of government-sponsored child abuse in American history. You don't have to take my word for it. Last week, the liberal New York Times came to the same conclusion after an extensive investigation. The New York Times found: "Extended school closures appear to have done much more harm than good, and many school administrators probably could have recognized as much by the fall of 2020. In places where schools reopened that summer and fall, the...

The U.S. medical establishment is in the process of absurdly identifying “racism” as the major determinant in health care outcomes. Last January, I wrote about how the Biden administration was “institutionalizing medical racism nationwide.” In a previous article in April 2021, I reported how “Medical Racism – Preferential Treatments for Blacks over Whites – is Here.” Yesterday, Fox News’ Brian Flood advanced this underreported story by noting how 39 of the nation’s 50 top medical schools have mandated Critical Race Theory training for their medical students. At least 39 of America’s 50 most prestigious medical colleges and universities have some...

After two years during which the Covid-19 pandemic had been held at bay, the deadly infection has exploded within North Korea with a speed and virulence that seems to have caught the regime by surprise. Ground zero for the epidemic is the capital city Pyongyang, according to official North Korean reports. Authorities are struggling to contain its spread, ordering country-wide lockdowns. The epidemic hit in late April and by May 14 had infected 820,620 people, causing 42 deaths. On one day alone, from the evening of May 13 to the following day, almost 300,000 people came down with symptoms, and...

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is stamping out former President Trump’s efforts to sow dissension in the Republican Party over whether to send tens of billions of dollars in new assistance to Ukraine. McConnell is framing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as a clear threat to U.S. national security interests, espousing the muscular foreign policy worldview that Republicans were known for before Trump took office in 2017. He traveled to the country over the weekend as part of an all-Republican Senate delegation to personally assure Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that there’s strong Republican support for Kyiv, despite criticism of the...

To those who aren't prepared to fight the globalist elites or who believe we still have years or decades to get ready, we may be seeing the first public round of the next step of The Great Reset. When news broke yesterday that the globalists at the World Economic Forum expected Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to attend their annual Davos conference, most conservative news outlets pounced on the notion that he’s going to be wasting his time with his buddy, Klaus Schwab, instead of focusing on bringing peace to his nation and protecting his people. This is a valid argument,...

Regime change coming in Russia, China and the United States? Sure looks like it, and in the meantime, can I pour you a nice, frosty bottle of Bill Gates’ new lab-grown Biomilq? It’s yummy! In Russia, Vladimir Putin has declared war on Ukraine, but it’s the weirdest war you ever saw and Putin is suffering with major health issues and complications. In Communist China, Xi Jinping has suffered a cerebral aneurysm, and is currently incapacitated. In America, Joe Biden’s poll numbers are just as low as his cognitive function, causing him to spew nonsense on a regular basis, with politicians...

The media want you to think he was a "mainstream Republican," but the truth couldn't be more different. The alleged supermarket killer is self-described as authoritarian left — so why isn't this being reported? If the alleged Buffalo killer's "manifesto" is authentic, he was deep into communist ideology and now is an authoritarian leftist. Why is this being kept under wraps? The teenager accused of murdering ten people last Saturday in Buffalo, N.Y. also allegedly posted a 180-page "manifesto" online that the national media are selectively exploiting, leaving out key facts. Why? Please note that we're going to use the...

BOXER Musa Yamak has tragically died at 38 after collapsing in the ring and suffering a heart attack. The unbeaten Turkish-born German fighter faced Hamza Wandera in his ninth professional bout on Saturday. Yamak took a heavy shot in the second round in a local show in Buergerhaus, Garching, near Munich. The light-heavyweight tried to come out for the third round but collapsed onto the floor and fell unconscious. Yamak was later pronounced dead in the hospital after being diagnosed with having suffered a heart attack. The Munich-based boxer turned pro in 2017 and most notably won the WBFed International...
