Actor James Cromwell went to great lengths while joining PETA's protest against Starbucks on Tuesday. In a video shared by the animal rights organization, the Succession star, 82, superglued his hand to a counter in a New York City Starbucks to protest the coffee chain's "senseless" upcharge for Vegan milk. "There's no reason for it except greed," Cromwell says in part in a video shared by PETA on Facebook, later reading a letter and asking, "Will you stop charging more for vegan milk? When will you stop raking in huge profits while customers, animals, and the environment suffer? When you...

Economist Ezra Solomon once observed that the “only function of economic forecasting is to make astrology look respectable.” Historically, economists have had a terrible track record when it comes to making growth forecasts. The Federal Reserve (Fed) during the 2007-2016 period had a tendency to persistently overestimate future GDP growth. After correcting for this tendency in the recent past, Fed officials found themselves making a new set of costly forecasting errors during the past year. They persistently underestimated inflation.

Reports are surfacing of military equipment of the United States and other NATO countries on the Russia-Finland border. U.S. and NATO armored vehicles were spotted on the border, along with Finnish tanks and armored personnel vehicles, according to a translation of a Shraibikus News report. There have been reports of military exercises in Finland, but Russian intelligence reportedly suspects the military buildup will remain until Finland joins NATO. The report also indicates Finnish authorities are anticipating Finland joining NATO within a few months. Russian analysts consider the military presence on the Russia-Finland border to be a threat, particularly as NATO...

She worked with two major financial firms in corporate America and sat on the board of a pregnancy crisis center for five years." The...

Lindsey Graham playing politics and flip-flopping in his effort to stay in the center has come to light again as new audio recorded on Jan 6 is highlighted in a book by Reporters Jonathan Martin and Alexander Burns, who write for the New York Times. Martin and Burns obtained the audio, and discuss it in their book which they discussed on Anderson Cooper’s show Tuesday night. Graham has been all over the place with his stance on Trump. The four-term senator from South Carolina called the president ‘uninformed’ and said he would be an ‘absolute, utter disaster’ for the party...

Russia’s state-run RIA Novosti news agency is reporting for the first time Wednesday that the Russian military occupied southern Ukrainian city of Kherson will soon petition the Kremlin to become part of the Russian Federation. It was in late April that a pro-Moscow “military-civilian administration” was installed after Kherson fell to the invading forces, complete with a local transition to the Russian ruble. While the news hasn’t been officially confirmed by the Kremlin, it’s significant that the report surfaced through RIA and not Ukrainian or opposition sources, suggesting such referendums or even simple declared annexations in captured regions could be...

Elon Musk’s Tesla has recalled approximately 130,000 vehicles across the U.S. as the cars’ touchscreens can overheat and go blank. At the end of 2021, Tesla recalled 475,000 cars, or about half of the vehicles sold in the entire country. TechXplore reports that Tesla is recalling 130,000 vehicles across the U.S. in yet another major recall. The reason this time relates to the vehicles’ touchscreens which can overheat and go blank. Many cars feature touch screens or digital displays, but unlike other vehicle screens which offer GPS navigation or music displays, the Tesla touch screen is responsible for many of...

While immortality might forever be out of reach, a long, healthy retirement is the stuff dreams are made of. To that end, a recent study suggests that the kinds of memory problems common in old age can be reversed, and all it takes is some cerebrospinal fluid harvested from the young. In mice, at least. If this is sounding a little familiar, you might be thinking of a similar series of studies done back in the mid-2010s, which found that older mice could be generally 'rejuvenated' with the blood of younger animals – both from humans and from mice. The...

The modern left’s rules for radicals were followed to the letter in the wake of George Floyd’s murder two years ago: Seize on an event that attracts national attention to promote their extreme ideological objective; knowingly misrepresent what that event means with the eager help of friendly media to maximize public fear; mobilize a mob to intimidate those who might stand in their way; compel the obeisance of a craven crowd of corporate chiefs, technology leaders and other influential figures; and have it all justified and promoted by Democratic officeholders and candidates. In 2020 the campaign created enough of a...

The movie THE HUNT is a fantastic conservative movie. It's part parody, but, more importantly, shows conservative women can be smart and deadly when they need to be. The graphic violence can be a bit upsetting, however, the message is a good one, especially for conservative women. The message is to fight back! I remember reading the short story that the movie is based on in high school. The filmmakers update the story and give it a political twist. Rarely do you see a film where the left is shown for who they are -- targeting deplorables -- and get...

The House overwhelmingly supported sending $40 billion in aid to Ukraine on Tuesday, 368-57, prompting a harsh reaction from critics given the multiple crises that are going unaddressed at home. Particularly, conservatives took issue with the 149 Republicans who joined every single Democrat in passing the bill while inflation continues to soar, the border crisis is ongoing, and our nation’s most vulnerable population—infants—can’t get the food they need.

On April 2nd, a historic wave of pro-Trump candidates won at the Michigan nominating convention. The Michigan Republican Party delegates nominated Kristina Karamo for Secretary of State and Matt DePerno for Attorney General. Both were Trump-endorsed, and both were loudly talking about the obvious 2020 voter fraud. Now both are being blackballed by the NeverTrump Michigan establishment. Kristina Karamo has called every elected Republican and virtually none of them will even call her back. For Matt DePerno, it’s even worse. Fellow Republicans Michigan Senate Majority Leader-presumptive Aric Nesbitt won’t return his calls, neither will Michigan House Speaker Jason Wentworth. When...

First lady Jill Biden called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine after visiting the country during a four-day trip to eastern Europe. “Mr. Putin, please end this senseless and brutal war,” Biden wrote in a CNN op-ed published on Wednesday. Biden visited Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine over Mother’s Day weekend. While in the first two countries, she met with women and children who had fled Ukraine since Russia’s invasion.

In a newly released video clip, Biden disinformation czar Nina Jankowicz demands that “trustworthy verified people” like her be given the power to edit other people’s tweets, making Twitter more like Wikipedia.Yes, really. Asserting that she was “eligible for it because I’m verified,” Jankowicz then bemoaned the fact there are people on Twitter with different opinions to her who also have the blue tick but “shouldn’t be verified” because they’re “not trustworthy.” “So verified people can essentially start to edit Twitter the same sort of way that Wikipedia is so they can add context to certain tweets,” said Jankowicz. She...

A transgender woman who bragged about her light sentence on a kiddie-molestation rap has now been charged with murder in connection with a 2019 robbery, authorities said Tuesday. Hannah Tubbs, 26, hit the headlines in January when she pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in the bathroom of a Palmdale, Calif., Denny’s in 2014 when she was 17. A judge in the case said he was compelled to sentence Tubbs to two years at a youth treatment facility because Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón declined to move the case out of the juvenile court where it...

President Biden [snip] tried to get ahead of Wednesday’s April inflation report with a speech rehashing his well-worn proposals to reduce prices: Boost subsidies, raise taxes, and increase regulation. He should take Jerry Seinfeld’s advice to George Costanza and do the opposite of his every policy instinct. [Biden said] “Building a Better America” plan including more subsidies for green energy, electric cars, child care, housing and more [and] doubled down on his proposed billionaire’s tax—i.e., unconstitutional wealth tax—and Medicare drug price controls. Mr. Biden again blamed inflation on the pandemic and Putin, omitting that Democrats poured kerosene on the accelerating...

There have been 25 coincidental fires at food plants across the nation. Reuters tries to tell us that it is not a conspiracy, but you will remember that they happily spread the Russian collusion/Hunter Biden laptop Russian disinformation propaganda. So, it seems reasonable to have doubts, especially as China and Bill Gates are competing to buy up farms. But it's the baby formula shortage that really is disturbing. Sen. Tom Cotton calls it a "national crisis", not that any democrats care. Congress just authorized $40 billion for Ukraine but has nothing for baby formula here. The nation's largest producer of...

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico - At first glance, it may look like a bag of Hot Cheetos. However, if a parent looks closely at the product in the photo, the bag has a white box in the bottom right corner that indicates the product has 600 milligrams of THC, the psychoactive compound found in marijuana. "I was shocked," said Fairacres Elementary parent Santana Rodriguez as she inspected the small differences between the original label and the altered label. "When I saw this, it blew my mind. I couldn’t believe it."

President Joe Biden and his administration have attempted to convince Americans that electric vehicles will solve all of our problems, but a new study found one leftist city was vastly unprepared for a complete switch to electric vehicles. The study was led by retired University of California, Berkeley, bioengineering professor David Rempel working with volunteers from the nonprofit organization Cool the Earth, according to Fox Business. It took place between Feb. 12 and March 7. Researchers cited multiple complaints from electric vehicle owners about charging stations in the area as the motivation for the study. It assessed 657 electric vehicle...
