The House overwhelmingly supported sending $40 billion in aid to Ukraine on Tuesday, 368-57, prompting a harsh reaction from critics given the multiple crises that are going unaddressed at home.
Particularly, conservatives took issue with the 149 Republicans who joined every single Democrat in passing the bill while inflation continues to soar, the border crisis is ongoing, and our nation’s most vulnerable population—infants—can’t get the food they need.

Those RINO’s may put America Last but in the end it seems they put China First.

Special kudos to Jim Jordan for voting no, and standing up for America.
I’m not shocked
Washington’s 4th District Republican, in name only, Dan Newhouse voted for this bill. You might remember him from his floor speech during President Trump’s last impeachment.

Can’t read the massive list who voted for it either! I want names !!!!
This is crazy. I just don’t know what we’re going to do.
People sometimes get offended when I speak about our spendthrift government as performing economic masturbation.
They are far, far beyond pump priming ... now it’s a form of self-stimulus pleasure / power addiction.
They are even beyond spending because not spending is mean and denying needs that government is moral to meet ... now it’s just throwing money at stuff and in people’s faces because they know or want to know nothing else.
Thanks for rejecting these people. I’m doing the same.

> The House overwhelmingly supported sending $40 billion in aid to Ukraine... <
The United States is a debtor nation. So that sentence should read:
The House overwhelmingly supported borrowing $40 billion for aid to Ukraine.
Maybe that would wake at least a few people up.
Republicans, as well as most democrats, are stuck with helping Ukraine.
Republicans don’t want to vote against (which not voting means a no vote) funding the Ukrainians in defending themselves.
If the Ukrainians become successful in defending themselves and push Russia back to within their own borders, the democrats will claim ALL the credit for helping Ukraine win.
Republicans don’t want to let the democrats have that kind of victory, which would be kind of making up for their debacle in Afghanistan.
Like it or not, the U.S. is stuck with making sure Ukraine doesn’t lose.
Democrats would have a huge issue for the fall, and their claim that they helped Ukraine win the war, would be hard for republicans to refute. Never mind that democrats have a lot of other issues with which they WILL LOSE in November. Becoming the party of defending against aggressors, would give the democrats a little bit of hope, though they will still lose big-time.
My congressman voted yes. I’m going to call his office. But I’m not going to vote for a democrat because of it.
