Intelligence provided by the U.S. helped the Ukrainians sink the Russian Moskva in April, according to a senior defense official. The U.S. shared the location of the Moskva in the Black Sea with the Ukrainians but had no role in the decision to strike it, the official said. Without providing specifics, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby told reporters Thursday that the U.S. has been providing Ukraine useful battlefield intelligence throughout the war as Ukraine defends itself – but Kirby said the Pentagon does not provide intelligence on the location of senior military leaders on the battlefield or participate in the targeting...

MINSK. May 5 (Interfax) - It is not in Belarus' interests to unleash a war with the West, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said. "We do not threaten anyone and we are not going to threaten and will not do it. Moreover, we cannot threaten -- we know who opposes us. A pro-abortion rights protest group that claims to carry on the legacy of former Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said it would fund protesters to participate in demonstrations outside the homes of the six Republican-appointed justices in response to the court's expected ruling to overturn Roe v. Wade. The group, Ruth Sent Us, published a map containing the home addresses of Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Amy Coney Barrett, Brett Kavanaugh, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, and Samuel Alito on its website on Thursday morning, along with an announcement that it would carry out a peaceful "walk-by" at the...

Democratic strategist James Carville said Thursday on CNN’s “OutFront” that the average American does not understand how good the U.S. economy is doing. Burnett said, “So mentioned a new CNN poll that found two-thirds of all Americans now disapprove of how President Biden specifically is handling the economy, two-thirds of all Americans. That’s bad. On top of that, more than 50% of Democrats think the economy is in poor shape, up 16 percentage points from December. Eighty-one percent of independents think the economy is in poor shape. These are all bad, no good numbers in this entire thing. How big...

The gospels give us a great insight into Christ’s parables: “All these things Jesus spoke to the multitude in parables; and without a parable he did not speak to them, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying: ‘I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things kept secret from the foundation of the world.’” (Matthew 13:34–35, NKJV). To many Christians today, the parables sound very simple. Many believers skim over the parables quickly. They think they see an obvious lesson and quickly move on. They dismiss a parable’s meaning as not applying to...

Like the Energizer Bunny, Sen. Liz Warren doesn't stop hopping. She made a hot pink spectacle of herself on Tuesday, ranting, pacing, and jabbing her finger wildly in the wake of leaked deliberations from the Supreme Court Monday suggesting that the Court would overturn Roe v. Wade, forcing the abortion matter back to the states. I wrote about that yesterday here. https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2022/05/top_three_stupidest_reactions_from_democrats_after_the_leak_about_roe.html VIDEO 3 MIN Issues & Insights observes: Watch the video with the audio muted. Does her body language, the spasmodic gesturing, the pointed finger remind anyone of a 20th century figure whose speeches we're used to seeing in...

“‘When you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be honored by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full’” (Matthew 6:2). Giving to the poor literally means any act of mercy, but it came to mean more specifically the giving of money or goods to the needy. Jesus did not say “if” but “when” concerning our giving—in other words, He expects us to do so. But just as sympathy for the needy does not help them...

Left-wing pro-life activists gathered outside the Washington, D.C., Medical Examiner’s Office at 11 a.m. on Thursday, demanding a full investigation and autopsies for five late-term aborted babies discovered in late March whom they say might have been partially aborted or killed after birth in violation of federal law. “The bodies of five late-term babies aborted by Cesare Santangelo, the Butcher of DC, are currently being held by the DC Medical Examiner. Meanwhile, the police and the mayor have refused to conduct an autopsy to determine if some were born alive and later killed (as experts have suggested), or victims of...

Critics slammed Vice President Kamala Harris after Politico's "West Wing Playbook" revealed the vice president reportedly opted to not appear with President Joe Biden in a video about student debt forgiveness. "The vice president has been increasingly wary of becoming part of the public face of the administration’s response," Playbook said, noting that the progressive wing of the Democrat Party has been calling for more aggressive forgiveness of student loans.

In a breathless puff piece, Variety celebrated tennis star Venus Williams' new crusade for “equal pay” with male tennis players. But her sudden concern for equal pay seems to clash with events even she was involved in. Williams claims she realized she would not be paid the same as men when she was 16. “Getting there and realizing, ‘Wow, I’m not being paid equally,’ was just definitely a slap in the face to a 16-year-old. … It hit me hard.” But both Venus and her sister Serena have already been involved in a game that shows the disparity between the...
