The three justices said Roe v. Wade is an important Supreme Court precedent, but none said they wouldn’t overturn it. The U.S. Supreme Court could be poised to overturn the 1973 Roe v. Wade case that made abortion legal nationwide, according to a draft majority opinion obtained by Politico. The court has confirmed that the draft opinion is authentic. Roe v. Wade has granted the right to abortion under the 14th Amendment for nearly five decades. The Supreme Court’s decision would not only overturn Roe v. Wade but also Planned Parenthood v. Casey, a 1992 ruling that upheld the federally...

Kash Patel, a former top Trump administration official, told Breitbart News on Wednesday that a report claiming classified materials were found at Mar-a-Lago is misleading and that the documents were actually already declassified by then-President Donald Trump, but the classification markings had not been updated. “Trump declassified whole sets of materials in anticipation of leaving government that he thought the American public should have the right to read themselves,” Patel told Breitbart News in a phone interview. “The White House counsel failed to generate the paperwork to change the classification markings, but that doesn’t mean the information wasn’t declassified,” Patel...

David Bennett Sr., 57, first seemed to be doing well the first few weeks after he received the history-making heart transplant on January 7 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, but his condition suddenly took a dramatic turn for the worse, the MIT Technology Review reported Wednesday. “He looked really funky,” Dr. Bartley Griffith, Bennett’s transplant surgeon, said during an American Society of Transplantation webinar. “Something happened to him. He looked infected.” Despite doctors’ efforts to save the patient by treating him with an AIDS drug and antibodies from blood donors, he died March 8. Griffith said...

However, the anti-monopoly activist group Open Markets Initiative, where Democratic FTC Chair Lina Khan used to work, has urged the agency to block the deal, saying that it 'poses immediate and direct threats to American democracy and free speech.' The group argued that Musk's ownership of the Starlink satellite internet service already gives him control over a key communication platform, and that his purchase of Twitter would be a dangerous concentration of power Representative Jim Jordan, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, on Wednesday issued a letter raising concerns about the FTC antitrust probe and suggesting he planned...

Pediatricians spoke Thursday morning regarding what they say is an unusual increase of hepatitis cases in children. Mayo Clinic doctors want parents to be aware of what they’re seeing, but they also want them to realize that at this point, these cases of hepatitis are extremely rare, and they are still trying to understand what might be causing them. As previously reported, global health officials are investigating about 200 cases of acute hepatitis, including in the United States. Experts don’t believe there is any link to COVID-19, however, one thing that does stand out is the fact that most kids...

Although the U.S. has passed the two-year mark for COVID-19, the country is still working to recover from the economic toll of the pandemic. In March 2020, the U.S. shut down its economy, shuttering businesses and telling all nonessential workers to stay at home in an attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19. The sudden shutdown took a drastic toll on the U.S., as businesses shed millions of jobs in an attempt to stay afloat and two presidential administrations had to use executive orders and pass massive spending bills to try and stave off economic collapse.

It can not be denied that the Catholic and secular left love Pope Francis more than any other pope in recent history. For those currently having meltdowns over the possibility that one of the most egregiously awful Supreme Court rulings in American history (Roe v. Wade) may soon be overturned (God willing!), it is perhaps well to reflect on what the Holy Father has had to say about the topic of abortion over the years. Though it is perhaps not a topic he relishes teaching about, on those occasions when Pope Francis has spoken out against abortion, he does not...
