The COVID-19 shutdown: A timeline of how the pandemic changed the US economy

Although the U.S. has passed the two-year mark for COVID-19, the country is still working to recover from the economic toll of the pandemic.

In March 2020, the U.S. shut down its economy, shuttering businesses and telling all nonessential workers to stay at home in an attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19.

The sudden shutdown took a drastic toll on the U.S., as businesses shed millions of jobs in an attempt to stay afloat and two presidential administrations had to use executive orders and pass massive spending bills to try and stave off economic collapse.

DO NOT FORGET what they’ve done to you.
Do not let their sudden realization they are in bad shape politically excuse the last two-plus years of abuses.
They shut down your job.
Called many of you “non-essential.”
Closed your kids’ schools.
Expected you to live off $1200 for months while they got richer and richer.

Denied you the ability to be with your dying loved ones.
Then denied you the ability to give those loved ones a proper funeral.
While they let George Floyd have three.
While they went on vacation.
Visited family.
The hair salon.
They arrested you for paddle boarding by yourself.
They shut down the parks and the playgrounds.
They called you a grandma killer if you questioned them.
Suspended you from social media if you didn’t obey the narrative.

They called you domestic terrorists when you demanded your kids get the education your tax dollars paid for.
They mocked you when you demanded a return to normalcy for children.
They sneer at your concern over empty shelves and exploding grocery and utility bills.
They denied you the chance to try alternative treatments for COVID.
Then they fired you for not getting the vaccine.
When you stand up for your freedom, they call you Nazis and bigots.

Do not forget what they have done.
Do not forgive them.
They are hoping that, by November, you have forgotten the nightmareof the last 2+ years.
YOU struggle to make ends meet and the best the Biden administration can do is free crack pipes for “racial equity.”
This is on top of the woke, cancel culture bull they shove down our throats, the 2020 riots, being accused of racism and bigotry because we oppose their agenda.
As the election draws closer, they’ll pretend they didn’t do any of this.
They’ll gaslight us.
Project.
Blame the GOP (like they tried to when defunding the police went south).

DO NOT give them power.
They haven’t learned a damn thing from this.
You re-elect them, and you can expect masks and lockdowns and nonsense in perpetuity.
Not just for COVID, but for whatever else they deem a
“public health emergency” (guns, climate change).
(Remember, they are the very same people who ignore a pubic health emergency aka AIDS.)
They will trample your rights.

VOTE THEM OUT.

NEVER FORGET.

REMEMBER in NOVEMBER!

COMPARING TRUMP AND BIDEN ON COVID DEATHS (As of 5/5/22)

The media went wild when the reported US Covid death toll reached 400,000 on Trumps last day in office.

Blood on his hands': As US surpasses 400,000 COVID-19 deaths, experts blame Trump administration for a 'preventable' loss of life

On Trump’s Last Full Day, Nation Records 400,000 Covid Deaths

US Covid-19 death toll passes 400,000 on Trump’s last day in office

The reported death toll from Covid now stands at:

996,854 according to Johns Hopkins Covid Tracker

1,023,603 according to Worldometer Covid Tracker

BIDEN: 596-623 thousand reported COVID deaths

VS

TRUMP: 400 thousand reported COVID deaths

Some will say its not fair to blame the deaths that occurred during Biden’s first month in office on his policies. That the daily deaths when he entered office January 20th 2021 were already in the midst of peak. To avoid this criticism, lets skip forward some 6 months into his presidency. By this time Biden’s policies were in full effect and he was “following the science” and “listening to the experts”. Around this time, July 12th 2021 , 50% of Americans were fully vaccinated yet over the next 7 months some 309,000 Americans died of Covid under Biden’s leadership. Compare this 7 month period to Donald Trump’s last 7 months in office. With less than 1 % of Americans vaccinated, and Trump supposedly “not following the science” or promoting masks… the total amount of Americans that died during this time was 278,000.

Trump’s last 7 months in office: 278,000 Covid deaths

VS

Biden’s 7 months after US reaching 50% fully vaccinated: 309,000 Covid deaths
