RINOs are losing control of the GOP. Stop The Steal Rally attendee won his house election primary for Ohio’s 9th district. From 13 ABC: Despite being a newcomer to politics and being vastly outspent, J.R. Majewski came away with the win in the Republican primary for Ohio’s 9th district on Tuesday. Airwaves in northwest Ohio were mostly covered in ads from Craig Riedel or Theresa Gavarone, both already elected officials in the state legislature. But it was Majewski that would win the race, taking 36% of the vote, 3,129 more than his nearest competitor. His race is a Toss-Up: It...

We all knew this was going to happen. There were hordes of liberal elitists at the White House Correspondents Dinner on April 30. Sure, you had to download an app to load your medical documents, which was super creepy. Sure, you needed to get vaccinated, boosted, and show proof of your shots for entry. Is this Washington DC or Checkpoint Charlie? You had to file more paperwork to attend this dinner than filing your taxes. And for what? We all know the COVID vaccine does not prevent transmission. You can still get it. In that regard, the COVID vaccine is...

The eldest daughter of the woman who brought Roe v. Wade before the Supreme Court in 1973 warned on Tuesday that overturning the landmark decision that established the constitutional right to an abortion “could take us back fifty years.” Melissa Mills, the eldest daughter of Norma McCorvey, who was known as “Jane Roe,” said in an interview with MSNBC that she was in “disbelief” by the leaked draft opinion from the Supreme Court showing the court’s conservative majority could overturn Roe v. Wade and abortion rights. ...

The nation’s central bank fleshed out more details on how it may undo the trillions of dollars in asset purchases it carried out during the COVID-induced economic downturn. The Federal Reserve on Wednesday released minutes from its March 15 and 16 meeting, which details conversations among top central bank officials suggesting that the Fed will soon start the process of shrinking its $9 trillion balance sheet. “Participants reaffirmed that the Federal Reserve’s securities holdings should be reduced over time in a predictable manner,” the minutes noted. The Fed has yet to officially vote on exactly how to carry the process...

Joy Behar — “Women in the world have conducted sex strikes in history. In 2003, a sex strike helped to end Liberia’s brutal civil war. The woman who started it was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. In Kenya, they forced a sex ban until fighting ceased. In one week, there was a stable government. We have more power than we think we have, and some of it could be right in the bedroom, just saying.”

The unprecedented U.S.-led Western sanctions against Russia have been likened to economic weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) that would ultimately destroy the Russian economy. In reality, the sanctions are like a double-edged sword — they inflict pain on Russia but also impose costs on their imposers. The West, in fact, is caught in a trap: The sanctions and the deepening conflict, by helping to raise global commodity and energy prices, translate into higher revenues for Moscow in spite of a significant decrease in its exports. And the higher international prices, by fueling inflation, mean political trouble at home for those...

Former President Trump appeared to cast doubt on former Vice President Mike Pence’s viability as a 2024 presidential contender, saying in a new interview that it would be a “hard” election for Pence should he choose to run. During an interview with CBN News published Wednesday, the Christian news outlet asked Trump about Pence’s chances at the presidency should the former vice president choose to run. “I don’t want to say,” Trump responded. “If Mike got in, I think it would be a hard one for him. I think it would be a hard one. I understand where the base...

The Minnesota Court of Appeals has ruled that a Buffalo construction company owner is not violating city ordinances by flying a large Trump flag from a crane. The Monday ruling reverses the city of Buffalo’s determination that Jay Johnson’s 30-by-50 foot flag reading “TRUMP 2020 Keep America Great” violated its ordinances on size restrictions and the attaching of signs to equipment. According to the ruling, the size restriction ordinance does not apply to “non-commercial” signs, while restrictions on attaching signs to equipment effectively deny Johnson’s free speech rights. “We reverse because (1) a provision of the ordinance prohibiting advertising or...

If J.D. Vance follows his Tuesday night victory in Ohio’s Senate primary with a general election win in November, he’ll arrive in a Washington filled with enemies and be seen as arguably the hardest-edged populist nationalist in the Senate GOP. Why it matters: The Republican establishment privately regards Vance with the same disgust many felt toward Donald Trump when he entered the White House on Jan. 20, 2017. The big picture: Vance’s victory deals a body blow to a small but noticeable resurgence of anti-Trump — or post-Trump — sentiment in the GOP. Republican Trump critics staked their hopes on...

The Federal Reserve on Wednesday raised short-term interest rates by 0.50%, as part of an effort to tamp down the inflationary pressures weighing on Americans. The central bank suggested that it will further raise borrowing costs throughout this year as it attempts to undo its pandemic-era, easy money policies. The policy-setting Federal Open Market Committee also detailed plans on unwinding its nearly $9 trillion balance sheet. The decision to raise rates by 0.50% marked the most aggressive increase made in a single meeting since May 2000. Over the last two decades, the Fed has opted to raise interest rates only...

Alpha News recently sat down with Minnesota Rep. Jeremy Munson to discuss his ongoing congressional bid. Munson outlined a variety of objectives that primarily centered around establishing America-first economic policies, securing future elections and making sure farmers in Minnesota’s First Congressional District are not hampered by unnecessary regulations amid an impending food shortage. He also expressed his support for ending COVID-19 regulations and holding Dr. Anthony Fauci accountable for his role in the pandemic response. “He needs to be held accountable for lying to the American public,” Munson said. “He needs to go away. He needs to be held accountable...

A protest at Pershing Square in downtown L.A. Tuesday left an officer injured as protesters clashed with police. The protest was organized following the leaked Supreme Court document that indicates the high court’s plan to overturn Roe v. Wade, the landmark legal decision that protects a woman’s constitutionally protected right to abortion. Initially, the Los Angeles Police Department provided an escort for those attending the rally as they walked from the United States Courthouse on W. First Street to Pershing Square, according to Chief Michel Moore. Around 8:50 p.m., the LAPD sent out a tweet urging people to avoid the...

Poland and the Baltic states have been acting as Ukraine's most loyal allies in the war with Russia. They are supplying it with American-made tanks and weapons, hosting millions of refugees, and severing relations with Putin. At the same time, they have also begun to arm themselves. Experts from those countries interviewed by The Insider believe the threat of Russian military expansion into the Baltics and Poland should be taken seriously, and it is not worth relying solely on NATO assistance. LITHUANIA. «We remember the occupation and deportations well.» The very next day after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the Baltic...

Superville covers the White House for the AP; Pace, a former White House correspondent and Washington bureau chief, is now AP’s executive editor. ___ Joe’s first Senate reelection campaign demanded Jill’s participation. “It was a little overwhelming,” she said, the first time that Joe took her to a campaign event. A picnic at Archmere Academy, Joe’s high school alma mater, was one of Jill’s first political appearances as Joe’s wife. She...

Spring is in full swing, and normally that means allergies for many. But with COVID-19 cases increasing again, you may be asking yourself if you have the virus or if it’s just allergies. Allergies affect as many as 60 million people per year in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. And this allergy season, coronavirus infections are back on the rise in Los Angeles County, with a 40% increase in cases, public health officials said last week. Pair that with gusty winds picking up in the next few days, and you’ll be asking yourself...
