Governor Jared Polis (D-CO) said Thursday on MSNBC’s “The ReidOut” that Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R-FL) law to penalize Disney by removing the company’s special tax status and privileges because they oppose Florida’s so-called “Don’t Say Gay” law is like the actions of dictators. Polis said, “This is out of the playbook of authoritarianism of government intervention into private businesses saying you don’t do what I want, you’re not supporting my anti-gay law. Therefore I will directly penalize your company, not pass some general law that affects all companies. Literally, we will go after your company if you don’t get in...

In multiple interviews, Dr. Anthony Fauci has weighed in on the Monday ruling from United States District Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle, which struck down the travel mask mandate. President Joe Biden's Department of Justice (DOJ) has decided to appeal Judge Mizelle's ruling. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has also told the DOJ to reinstate the mandate. Speaking with CBS News' Robert Costa, Dr. Fauci lamented that a judge would dare to rule on the mask mandate as it applied to the CDC overstepping its authority, including when it comes to the Administrative Procedure Act (APA). Costa had asked Fauci...

The wintry weather lingering in parts of Canada has yielded an expected gift: More maple syrup. Output in Quebec, the world’s largest producer of the sticky breakfast staple, is now poised to rise in 2022 as cool spring temperatures allow farmers to tap trees for a longer period, said Pierre Rhéaume, spokesman for Quebec Maple Syrup Producers, which is a government-sanctioned agency that sets prices and production for most of the world’s syrup. Farmers are still harvesting in some northern parts of the province, with some gathering record amounts, he said. The so-called sugaring season typically occurs between late February...

The canadidate of the National Rally was particularly virulent towards her opponent during her last meeting organized this Thursday in Arras. At the end of the debate between the two rounds which opposed her to Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday evening, political observers were inhabited by a question. Why didn't Marine Le Pen show herself to be more virulent towards her competitor? The shooting was corrected this Thursday, during the last campaign meeting that the deputy of Pas-de-Calais held in Arras. Now that local authorities have started to lift the lockdown on Shanghai, releasing 4 million people from being locked away inside their apartments yesterday, the true scope of the suffering is just starting to become apparent. Following myriad complaints about shortages of food and other medicine, Shanghai’s market watchdog (which has mostly been focused on mitigating the impact of the shutdown on Shanghai’s factories and its all-important port) has reportedly pledged to investigate. Shanghai’s market watchdog has pledged to tighten oversight of pandemic supplies after residents complained that rotten food was being delivered by authorities, leaving them with little, or...

President Trump remains one of the most popular figures in the Republican Party. A vast majority want him to run again in 2024, and he has blown out other potential primary opponents in almost every poll. The Republican establishment realizes that they cannot defeat Trump at the ballot box, so they have taken after Democrats by using underhanded tactics to defeat America First candidates.RINOs in Tennessee passed a law that would prevent candidates who haven’t voted in the last three general elections from running, a bill that was primarily targeted at America First candidates. Now, they have removed three Trump-supporting Congressional...

Airports have been the main stages for security and hygiene "theater.". Bureaucrats cling to power. It’s their institutional predisposition. So it was no surprise on Wednesday when the Department of Justice appealed the recent Federal court ruling that struck down the mask mandate imposed on mass transportation by the Centers for Disease Control. As the appeal demonstrates, governments are especially reluctant to give up emergency powers. When they do, the relinquishment is grudging and only partial. That is a big reason why big government keeps getting bigger. As economist Robert Higgs showed in his book Crisis and Leviathan, since the...

We know they were cowards. We know they are craven and would debase themselves for Donald Trump.”

Democratic state lawmakers in New York acted with partisan intent and tried to restrict electoral competition when drawing congressional lines in violation of the state's constitutional ban on partisan redistricting, a five-judge court on Thursday ruled. New York Democrats are expected to appeal the decision, which also upheld the state legislative maps for the Assembly and state Senate. The legal challenge to New York's congressional maps is now expected to head to the state Court of Appeals, New York's highest court. The stakes for both parties are substantial given the coming House of Representatives elections this fall, and the push...

Since near the beginning of the Covid injection roll out, many of us have been saying that this is an experimental drug and anyone taking it under Emergency Use Authorization is essentially participating as oversized lab rats. The results of this experiment have been disastrous, of course, as the jabs do not prevent the spread of the coronavirus nor do they protect recipients from getting sick. Still, it’s good to hear the globalist elites actually acknowledging that it’s a giant experiment. Here’s Barack Obama today: Granted, he’s not admitting to anything nefarious, but he knows what he and other globalists...

Two fraudsters who ripped off donors of a fundraising campaign that purportedly sought to collect money for a wall along the southern US border during Donald Trump’s presidency pleaded guilty Thursday for their roles in the scam. The swindlers, Brian Kolfage and Andrew Badolato, each copped to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud during a remote hearing before Judge Analisa Torres in Manhattan federal court. Kolfage also pleaded guilty making false statements on tax returns to hide from the IRS the hundred of thousands of dollars he siphoned off from the GoFundMe campaign, which was dubbed “We Build...

The Miami Herald warned Wednesday that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) is taking a page from disgraced former President Richard Nixon’s playbook with his attack on Disney. An editorial in the influential South Florida paper condemned DeSantis, a potential GOP 2024 presidential candidate, for his push “to strip Walt Disney World of the special taxing district that independently governs it” as “an act of pure vengeance” and “the stuff of Richard Nixon and his enemies list.”
