Phoenix, AZ – A female Phoenix police officer was shot while responding to a domestic violence call on Thursday morning. The incident began at approximately 10:15 a.m., when a woman called police from a Marathon gas station located near Beardsley Road and Cave Creek Road to report she was afraid of a possible confrontation with her boyfriend, 35-year-old Nicholas Cody Cowan, KTVK reported. The woman told investigators Cowan had tried to commit suicide, “committed several criminal acts,” and threatened to “shoot it out” with law enforcement officers, according to police.

Izabella da Silva, an 11-year old girl died four days after being inoculated with the vaccine against COVID19. According to reports, the girl was being threatened by the direction of the school where she studied. Izabella, was a healthy girl, without any comorbidities, in perfect health, and her parents did not want to vaccinate her. But the school's management pressured her, threatening to make a complaint to the guardianship council, as directed by the Paraná Public Ministry, that she could be removed from her parents care, said the deputy during a speech to the Legislative Assembly of Paraná.

Russia's communications watchdog has blocked access to the Russian language website of The Moscow Times, a newspaper that has covered Russia for three decades since the collapse of the Soviet Union. The Moscow Times said Russian internet providers had already started to block its Russian-language site. It published a notice from Russia's communications watchdog which said its site was now blocked. Russia's communications watchdog did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

A standoff that ensued when a nearly naked home invader took a woman, 53, hostage and held a gun to her head in San Diego was captured on video. A massive fire at the Taylor Farms Processing Facility in Salinas that began late Wednesday night and prompted evacuations continued to smolder into Thursday afternoon.
