Phoenix, AZ – A female Phoenix police officer was shot while responding to a domestic violence call on Thursday morning.
The incident began at approximately 10:15 a.m., when a woman called police from a Marathon gas station located near Beardsley Road and Cave Creek Road to report she was afraid of a possible confrontation with her boyfriend, 35-year-old Nicholas Cody Cowan, KTVK reported.

“A female Phoenix police officer”
WHY does it matter that it was a “FEMALE”?
I thought we weren’t supposed to notice “gender” (sex) anymore?
But seriously folks, why put that in the lead sentence? Was she BLACK? Was she a lesbian? Was she fat? What were her measurements?
C’mon man, give us ALL the details. /s
