Russia's communications watchdog has blocked access to the Russian language website of The Moscow Times, a newspaper that has covered Russia for three decades since the collapse of the Soviet Union.
The Moscow Times said Russian internet providers had already started to block its Russian-language site. It published a notice from Russia's communications watchdog which said its site was now blocked.
Russia's communications watchdog did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

FOTT: Fear Of The Truth.
They are everywhere. The media that don’t want the truth to be heard, the politicians that don’t want the truth to be heard, the governments that don’t want the truth to be heard, the political parties that don’t want the truth to be heard, the colleges and universities that don’t want the truth to be heard, the teachers that don’t want the truth to be heard.
The truth is their worst enemy.
The truth eventually will out. But, FOTT will always exist.
I read them daily and get the idea that the Moscow times are far more ethical than the Democrat(* oops!) New York Times.
Interesting, I find them for all purposes, identical.
“ The Moscow Slimes is the Russian Equivalent of America’s New York Slimes. ”
If that was true they wouldn’t be blocking their number one propaganda mouthpiece 🤪
It used to be Pravda, that was the equivalent of The New York Times.
“Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power.”
― George Orwell, 1984
It is true, and it's WHY Russia is blocking America's and the Western Prog Socialist Media's number one mouthpiece in Russia.
The problem with George Orwell’s writings is that American and Western Prog Socialists are using them as an Instruction Manual.
... And Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World...................
“One believes things because one has been conditioned to believe them.”
― Aldous Huxley, Brave New World
Not one mention of Walter Duranty, Potemkin Villages, or the Slimes Support of Stalin's Communism during the 1930's, until you get to the large "Controversies" section near the bottom of the page.
Conveniently, there is no such section for the Moscow Slimes.
What his your point?
What is the relationship you think you see between Pravda on the Hudson and the Moscow Times? They share neither an ownership, history or journalistic association.
RE: Interesting, I find them for all purposes, identical.
Which paper that reports about Russia do you trust, and why?
None, and the history of "Journalism" is why.
I made my point quite well, thank you.
I don’t think you made any point.
Have read them for years, both while there, and stateside.
They were even to the right of Moscow Tribune.
They are historically hard hitting against socialism, leftism thuggery, etc.
In 1997-1998 MT had went through a phase of strong Russian Government effort to shut them down due to their ability to source highly incriminating information from Ria Novosti, as well as their ability to tap moderate Soviet historians.
They had to mellowed for sure, and have even lost staff to thuggery, but they are far more honest than almost any other press in the CIS, and still predominantly amti-socialist.
As such, they will also hit leftist and RINO’s in America pretty hard as well. The issue there is development of information then used by other Russian press and media which most often embellish to Putin supporting narratives.
Certainly not hard to do...
