Nuland has supported and facilitated Obama-era policies aimed at confronting, containing, and deterring Moscow across multiple policy fronts. Summer 2020 op-ed for Foreign Affairs, Nuland offered a series of policy prescriptions for the next president on how to deal with Russia: ...a united 'global front' to check and deter Russian military aggression, a more robust toolkit to crack down on Russian disinformation, further sanctions, and public diplomacy efforts 'aimed directly at the Russian people'. Nuland played a central role in executing the Obama administration’s Ukraine policies during and after the 2014 Euromaidan revolution. She conveyed U.S. support 'for demonstrations in...

Hunter Biden knew he was working with associates who were high up in Chinese intelligence circles, according to a new report. The report published Monday by Yahoo News delves into the connections between Hunter Biden and Patrick Ho, referred to as Patrick Ho Chi-ping in some reports concerning Ho’s 2018 bribery conviction that was linked to arms dealing and bribery in Africa. Yahoo’s report is written by Michael Isikoff, its chief investigative correspondent, and Zach Dorfman, its national security correspondent. Both are veteran and respected journalists. (Isikoff is probably best known as the reporter then working for Newseek who had...

With big cities seeing spikes in crime and Republicans making it an election year issue, President Joe Biden on Monday sought to recast guns — specifically, untraceable ones — as a root cause of the problem. Speaking from the Rose Garden, Biden held up a so-called ghost gun kit, displaying what law enforcement and lawmakers have labeled as the new weapon of choice for criminals because of its lack of a serial number and its ability to be purchased without buyers undergoing a background check. It was an effort to put some political muscle behind a finalized ghost gun rule...

The explosion comes courtesy of a dead sunspot called AR2987.... The sunspot explosion released loads of energy in the form of radiation, which also led to a coronal mass ejection (CME) — explosive balls of solar material — both of which could spur more intense northern lights in Earth's upper atmosphere. The material in that CME is likely to impact Earth on April 14... The idea of a "dead" sunspot is more poetic than scientific, said Philip Judge, a solar physicist at the High Altitude Observatory at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), but the convection of the sun...

The Walt Disney Company will soon be airing an ad on all of its channels featuring the mother of a trans-identified child lambasting supporters of bills banning genital mutilation surgeries for children and the teaching of LGBT ideology in schools. The mother accuses these Americans of trying to “tear our families apart.” The LGBT advocacy organization GLAAD released the public service announcement called “Protect Our Families” last week. The 60-second ad profiles the Briggle family, which includes Amber Briggle along with her husband and her two children. The ad focuses on her trans-identified daughter, who now identifies as a boy...

On January 24, 2022, The FDA revoked Emergency Use Authorizations (EUAs) for two COVID monoclonal antibody (McAb) treatments, bamlanivimab and etesevimab (administered together) and REGEN-COV (casirivimab and imdevimab), made by Eli Lilly and Regeneron respectively. Again on March 25, the FDA revoked the EUA for sotrovimab, which is no longer authorized for use at this time in specified states and territories due to its ineffectiveness against the prevalence of Omicron sub-variants, such as BA.2 in those regions, brought in from overseas. Even these state-of-the-art McAbs can’t keep up with the rapidly mutating, highly transmissible COVID-19 variants. In doing so, the...

War is one of the most consequential actions our government can take. The question is whether, looking back at America’s conflicts in the past hundred-plus years, we can discern lessons that should guide us going forward. David T. Pyne, a former U.S. Army combat arms and H.Q. staff officer with an M.A. in National Security has used his Substack account to write a concise essay analyzing which wars America should have avoided entirely and which were justified wars, whether conducted wisely or not. Trump understood much of this intuitively; Biden does not. The post, entitled “How Modern Wars Have Harmed...

Tucker Carlson opened his show on Monday night with the story of the mass lockdown in Shanghai, with more than 24 million people turned into starving prisoners in their homes, as the government adds in the singular cruelty of slaughtering their pets. This is ostensibly in the name of a “Zero COVID” policy, but that’s nonsense. The real goal is to bring the citizens of Shanghai to heel lest they start to pose a threat to Xi Jinping’s and the Party’s dominance. We’ve learned a lot about COVID since China released it to the world in 2019. It’s most dangerous to...

In modern Chinese history, Sun Yat-sen (1866-1925) holds a unique place. He led the revolution that overthrew the Qing dynasty in 1911; devoted his life to championing an independent and democratic China; and was a revolutionary leader and a man of vision. Sun remains the only political leader honored by both mainland China and Taiwan. What’s fascinating about Sun, but little known in America, is that his birthplace, formal education, medical training, religious faith, and political values made him a true American. Sun’s elder brother concealed the fact that Yat-sen was an American. His family would claim that he was...

resident Joe Biden's feckless, weak leadership in foreign affairs and his misguided "green" energy policies are killing innocent women and children by financing Vladimir Putin's genocidal invasion of Ukraine. Biden's ideologically driven energy policies are also wrecking the U.S. economy, but that's for another column -- as is our analysis of how Hunter Biden's activities have compromised his father. That's our upcoming piece: "Never Underestimate the Power of Blackmail." This week, our research shows how Biden's energy policies are financing the horrific genocide and war crimes Putin is perpetrating against the Ukrainian people. According to the Ukrainian government, more than...

New York Lt. Gov. Brian Benjamin surrendered to authorities early Tuesday morning to face fraud-related charges in connection with a previous political campaign, two people with knowledge of the situation told The Daily Beast. The U.S. Southern District of New York is expected to hold a noon press conference about Benjamin’s arrest. He is expected to appear in Manhattan federal court on Tuesday afternoon. More to come..

Testing Mania: Illogical and Harmful This adapted excerpt is from Dr. Scott W. Atlas’ bestselling book, A Plague Upon Our House, published by Bombardier. By the time I arrived at the end of July 2020, the administration had already developed a massive testing capacity from scratch. Nearly a million tests per day were being conducted. The effort was led by Admiral Giroir, who was assigned the thankless task of overseeing that project. I understood why the VP was so excited when he had displayed that simplistic chart on my first visit. And over the next weeks the administration continued to...

Multiple people were shot in a Brooklyn subway station where "several undetonated devices" were also found on Tuesday morning, the Fire Department of New York said. The FDNY did not elaborate on the devices found, but said they were called to the 36th Street subway station in Brooklyn's Sunset Park neighborhood for a smoke condition at about 8:30 a.m. There, multiple people were found shot, the FDNY said.

The US inflation numbers were released this morning and they are grim. Inflation YoY grew to 8.5%. With 8.5% YoY inflation, REAL average hourly earnings growth fell to -3% YoY. And with The Fed intent on extinguishing their part of the inflation, Bankrate’s 30Y mortgage rate rose to 5.14%. Energy is the biggest culprit (fuel oil up 70.1% YoY) thanks to the double whammy of 1) Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and 2) Biden’s restrictions on oil and natural gas production. Food at home is up 10% YoY. The Taylor Rule model now says that The Fed Funds Target Rate should...

It was like a scene from a dystopian B-movie. Over a bleak, black city, in the dead of night, a drone emerged. From its speaker, it issued monotone instructions to the masses locked in their homes in the apartment blocks below. ‘Control the soul’s desire for freedom!’, the robotic voice said. ‘Do not open the window or sing!’, the joyless flying machine said. Then came the robot dogs. They staggered through deserted streets, barking diktats at residents cowering behind their curtains: ‘Wear a mask, wash your hands, check your temperature.’ No one dares ‘disobey the dog’s diktats’, according to one...

Author Naomi Wolf discussed the global implications of the "zero-COVID" lockdowns occurring in Shanghai, China, on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" Monday. NAOMI WOLF: 2020 was the story. It launched a narrative and the narrative is you can restrain billions of people, lock them in their homes, inject them against their will, mask them against their will, destroy their economies, suppress all their human rights. But if the narrative said COVID, that was the plausible deniability that you weren't actually just a flat-out fascistic tyrant. So that was just a preamble. And so now Shanghai is the next step. There's nothing now,...

An easing in core inflation pressures took the edge off the fastest headline reading since 1981 as headline CPI surged to 8.5% in March. U.S. inflation accelerated to the fastest pace in four decades again last month, data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics indicated Wednesday, but a slight retreat in core consumer prices suggests pressures may be easing heading into the summer months. The headline consumer price index for the month of March was estimated to have risen 8.5% from last year, up from the 7.9% pace in February and the fastest rate since December of 1981. On a...
