When I was about 10 years old I took some sailing lessons and then did so again when I was in my early 30s. Sailing involves a kind of romancing of the wind, wherein one observes it and then adapts to it, wooing it, learning its moves, its vicissitudes, its often subtle and changing signs.Oh, for the great times when the wind was with us! Catching the wind, the boat would speed along making a slick sound in the water. Oh, too, for those daring and thrilling times when the spinnaker was put out. The boat would almost strain as...

Hunter Biden infamous ‘laptop from Hell’ contains many U.S. Department of Defense ‘root encryption certificates’, or encryption keys to DoD databases. The keys have unusual long-term expiration dates, with many lasting twenty years or more. This information was discovered during a deep forensic investigation done over the last couple weeks, by Jack Maxey and his team in Switzerland. This situation raises multiple questions, such as… Why did Hunter Biden have a large number of Department of Defense encryption codes to allow access to national security data? Did Hunter Biden give anyone else access to this information? Who gave the codes...

@JordanSchachtel US govt should stop weapons deliveries to Ukraine ASAP. Taxpayer dollars are being used to commit atrocities against innocents. There are zero guardrails between the Ukrainian military and the neo fascists that are committing war crimes within its ranks. Hard stop needed, ASAP.

Vladimir Putin's stalling invasion of Ukraine is suffering new blows as the Russian death toll rises to 17,000 without seizing any new territories, Kyiv has said. The UK's Ministry of Defence said today there has been 'no significant change to Russian forces' dispositions in the country' over the last 24 hours, and Russia is still yet to capture any major city after a month of fighting. They said 'ongoing logistical shortages have been compounded by a continued lack of momentum and morale against the Russian military, and aggressive fighting by the Ukrainians'.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem1 John 4On Denying the Incarnation 4 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world....

So-called fact-checkers should be eating crow following authentication of the emails from Hunter Biden’s notorious laptop by The New York Times. But a new analysis shows they’re being as brazen as ever by not updating old articles challenging the credibility of the story. Leftist fact-checkers like FactCheck.org, PolitiFact and Lead Stories published stories within the past two years that tried to take down the New York Post bombshell. The outlets did this by either referring to the story as coming from “questionable sources;” labeling the emails as “unverified” or outright doubting their authenticity. The Times reported that emails from a...

If you are even a semi-regular reader of this blog, you know about the energy storage problem that is inherent in the effort to eliminate dispatchable fossil fuels from the electricity generation system and replace them with wind and solar. As discussed here many times, other than with nuclear power, the storage problem is the critical issue that must be addressed if there is ever going to be “net zero” electricity generation, let alone a “net zero” economy based on all energy usage having been electrified. For a sample of my prior posts on this subject just in the last...

Actor Will Smith was filmed partying on Monday morning at the Vanity Fair Oscars event in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, CA after he slapped stand-up comedian Chris Rock during the live award show. In the video shared by Variety editors Marc Malkin and Ramin Setoodeh on Twitter, Smith, 53, with wife J ada Pinkett, 50, nearby, joyfully sang along as the DJ played his songs “Gettin Jiggy With It” and”Miami.”

Democrats don’t know how to define what a woman is. Turns out, neither do some GOP governors. The Democrats’ radical Supreme Court nominee has made it clear that she doesn’t know what a woman is. As recent developments regrettably have shown, neither do several Republican governors. Last week, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sent out his most popular tweet of the year—one that received a staggering 130,000 likes within 24 hours—in which he blasted the NCAA decision to let biological male William “Lia” Thomas compete in and win an NCAA championship in the 500-yard freestyle competition against, among others, Floridian runner-up...

Since being elected, Singh has accomplished next to nothing and consistently votes in support of any Liberal measure of substance.... Chosen as leader at a time when the NDP had over 40 seats, Singh has managed to win no more than 25 in either the 2019 or 2021 elections. A drop of over 40 per cent in a party’s seat count should result in any leader being shown the door, but Singh has skated freely on.... Singh is by far the most invisible politician the Vancouver suburb has seen in some time.... No message, no connection and no community involvement...

Maybe the new meme is open-market stock purchases by insiders. GameStop (ticker: GME) just saw its third insider stock purchase in as many days, and shares of the videogame retailer soared last week on news of the big buys. GameStop has a high profile as one of the meme stocks, highly volatile shares that rocketed last year as investors egged each other on to buy on social media and other platforms.

Barely minutes into the 94th annual Academy Awards on ABC, the ceremony went obnoxiously woke. The Oscars three unfunny hosts - Amy Schumer, Wanda Sykes and Regina Hall - introduced the show with a "joke" about the long-debunked "equal pay gap," then attacked white women using a Black Lives Matter (BLM) talking point.

BEIJING (AP) — China began its most extensive coronavirus lockdown in two years Monday to conduct mass testing and control a growing outbreak in Shanghai as questions are raised about the economic toll of the nation’s “zero-COVID” strategy. Shanghai, China’s financial capital and largest city with 26 million people, had managed its smaller previous outbreaks with limited lockdowns of housing compounds and workplaces where the virus was spreading.

WASHINGTON, Thursday, March 27. It having been positively asserted by the Consul of Great Britain, and also by Consuls of other foreign Governments, that armed troop ships, carrying munitions of war, have been allowed to go in and out of Southern ports and no attempt made to stop them by our naval; officers charged with blockading the Southern Atlantic coast, and particularly at Charleston, Senator HALE, from the Naval Committee, has obtained authority to inquire whether there has been any laxity on the part of naval officers, and that the Committee have power to send for persons and papers. The...

A Christian woman approached me recently with a rather emotional expression and asked me if I had heard the latest news reports about the various upheavals in the news with all that’s happening around the world. “Can you believe what is happening?” she asked. “Every day is a bad-news day. With certain nations having nuclear capacity. Terrorists could take over, and some mad Ayatollah could launch us into nuclear war.” Shaking her head, she said, “I am really scared. Things are spinning out of control.” Right now, people are fearful all over the world. We are seeing the fulfillment of...

When ideologues demand power but cannot achieve it politically because they are cruel ideologues, expect more of their insanity to follow. "Madness! Madness . . . madness!" — The Bridge on the River Kwai With that exclamation, director David Lean ended his epic film about a dutiful but vainglorious British officer who sought to display to his Japanese captors superior British discipline and morale in a prisoner of war camp. As proof of British engineering superiority, he pursues his agendas by ordering his POWs to build for their Japanese captors a strategic bridge that otherwise they could not have built—only...

“‘Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven’” (Matthew 5:16). Letting our “light shine before men” allows them to see our “good works,” the beauty the Lord has worked in us. To see good works by us is to see Christ in us. That’s why Jesus says, “Let your light shine.” It is not something we create or make up, but something we allow the Lord to do through us. It is God’s light; our choice is whether to hide it or let...

Russia has added a new chapter in the post-Cold War Europe under the leadership of Vladimir Putin. His decision to invade Ukraine on February 24 has altered the US-led global liberal power calculus. The quiet “Spy Guy” Putin, who took over as the Prime Minister in ailing Boris Yeltsin’s Government in 1999, was largely unnoticed by the West. Probably, the policymakers in the Western capitals could not visualise how this man would pose a serious threat to both the European Union (EU) and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in the days to come. Putin’s was a solo journey laced with a hidden agenda of reclaiming the lost Soviet empire. Thus, he quickly took up the reins as the second President of the newly created Russian Federation in the year 2000, immediately after Yeltsin left the scene as he was seriously unwell.

Parents are about to give the public education bureaucrats a smack on their fingers. It started in Virginia and appears to be heading westward in a hurry. I remember when they called it a "prairie fire." We call them "suburban insurrections" these days. Let's hear from John Nolte: Rasmussen asked 1,000 likely voters, “Who do you trust more to deal with education issues. Democrats or Republicans?” Only 36 percent said Democrats, while 43 percent said Republicans. Eighteen percent said the two parties are “about the same.” What should worry Democrats most of all is that only 34 percent of women...
