It’s operated by a nonprofit organization called The Refuge for DMST™ (short for “Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking”), and their website describes how the girls are provided with “trauma-informed, holistic care” that includes education through a University of Texas-run...

O'Brien, who is not Jewish, called on the Jewish community to "collectively change the conversation" and bring about a secular state by adhering to "core Jewish values, which are to be principled and fair and just." The documents also make the claim that it was Hutchins herself who directed Baldwin where to aim the gun he held with which he fired the fatal shot. Laying partial blame for the shooting on Hutchins, the filing says, “She directed Baldwin to hold the gun higher, to a point where it was directed toward her. She was looking...

We keep having the same arguments with the same talking points over and over again — and Americans continue to die from gun violence at hugely disproportionate numbers relative to the rest of the world. There’s a massive cultural divide here that is very hard to reconcile. If you live in a big city or a major metropolitan area, you very likely think about guns differently than someone who grew up in a rural area. To the extent that guns are part of your world, it’s typically associated with crime and violence....

During an interview aired on Friday’s broadcast of Bloomberg’s “Wall Street Week,” economist, Harvard Professor, Director of the National Economic Council under President Barack Obama, and Treasury Secretary under President Bill Clinton Larry Summers argued that the core issue with inflation is the fact that the economy is overheated and the problem of inflation won’t be fully solved until the overheating in the economy is solved. Summers also argued that blaming corporate greed and price gouging for inflation is “likely” to make the inflation problem worse because doing so will hurt business confidence and lower the level of needed investments.
