A STUDENT claims they accidentally gobbled a Cadbury's Creme Egg worth £10,000.
The devastated 21-year-old said they were "at their lowest point in life" following the expensive mistake.

In January, Cadbury's announced it had hidden 146 limited edition chocolates across the country, and shoppers could win up to £10,000 if they find one.
The special egg is made of half white chocolate and half milk chocolate - and it's full of the classic sugary filling.
In an anonymous Reddit post the unnamed egg-gobbler wrote: "I am an international student studying in the UK, and so I don’t really keep up with the ads here.
"A few months ago, Cadbury released 146 prize-winning eggs across the country with the chance of winning a range of cash prizes including £10,000 (which is half my university tuition). "Long story short, I was scrolling through Instagram today and saw the prize-winning egg that looked identical to the one I ate a couple of hours ago.
"I don’t actually know what else to say other than utter defeat. I think I have officially hit the lowest point in the short 21 years of my life."
Winners who snag the rare treats are urged not to take a bite, and instead need to call a number on a ticket under the foil.

So he didn’t see this?
He’s lying.
And without accounting for all the special eggs we will never be able to prove him wrong.
What a tragedy. The world wants to know the truth. There must be an investigation!
We seem to do that now no matter how trite the event.
Chocolate and white, there must be some racist claim to be made.
No reason to feel low; if the student hadn’t seen the contest information the student would be content.
ya think? ;)
he has grabbed his 15 minutes of fame whether it is true or not.
did he eat the foil?
curses! foiled again!
Just a scam to get people to buy the product.
At best, what he had was a 1 in 146 chance of getting the 10,000.
Who looks under the foil? I guarantee I wouldn’t see it. I was eating Dove chocolates for years before I found out about the little messages they put in the foil. Not looking for literature when I eat candy.
guttenawesome!
And besides, even if he ate it, wouldn’t the secret number on the wrapping be evidence that he had one of the “Golden Ticket” eggs? If he realized he ate the special egg ten minutes after he had done so, he’d still have the wrapper, wouldn’t he? The whole thing seems contrived. It sounds like he is scamming Cadbury to give him the prize by throwing a pity party.
this whole thing could become an international incident that could spiral into nuclear war!
Oh my gosh!
🤣🤣🤣
Put Adam Shithead Schiff on this right away!
ducking... ;)
