President Joe Biden shrugged off polls showing voters believed he was not mentally fit, during a press conference at the White House on Wednesday. One reporter asked Biden why only 40 percent of voters in a new Morning Consult survey believe Biden is mentally fit, 37 percent say he is in good health, and 43 percent believe he is stable.

A woman was beaten to death by a man armed with a pipe Wednesday afternoon at an office building in Old City, according to police. The deadly beating happened just after 2 p.m. on the 300 block of Chestnut Street, according to authorities. Police sources told FOX 29's Jennifer Joyce that a man in his 40s took the elevator up to suite 800 and attacked the 32-year-old woman in a shared working space. Dispatchers received nearly 20 911 calls from witnesses as the beating happened, the source said.

Lofton was experiencing a mental health crisis and was taken by police to seek treatment. Lofton’s foster family said that he had recently been paranoid and sometimes hallucinated. Lofton resisted police officers, assaulting one, before being taken to the Sedgwick County Juvenile Intake and Assessment Center.
