Morale among staffers is reportedly low in President Biden’s White House as his first year in office comes to a close and polls show his popularity underwater with the majority of Americans. According to a Politico report late Wednesday, White House staffers are unhappy with their jobs to the point where they anonymously leaked to the online publication in hopes that senior staffers would be alerted to the lack of comradery and overall happiness in the workplace. In 2020, the video-sharing platform was ranked No. 7 while Google came in at No. 1. This year, TikTok came in first, followed by Google, Facebook, Microsoft and Apple, in that order. Cloudflare's 2020 and 2021 rankings don't offer a perfect comparison; Cloudflare Radar, which compiles this information, only launched in September of 2020, so last year's rankings accounted for just a few months. Regardless, Google is well aware of TikTok's dominance. The site has been looking to become increasingly focused on video and audio as the internet moves away from content people can read and toward content people can...

A Chinese firm helping former president Donald Trump take his new media company public has been the target of investigations by federal securities regulators, who say the firm misrepresented shell companies with no products and few employees as ambitious, growing enterprises, documents and interviews show. Arc Capital, an investment advisory firm based in Shanghai, has repeatedly helped create or finance companies with little or no revenue, no customers and office locations that point to P.O. boxes, according to a Washington Post review of regulatory and court filings. One claimed to be developing autonomous drone software despite having no employees; another...

Dr. Anthony Fauci said during a briefing on Wednesday that, due to the surge in cases thanks to the Omicron variant of COVID-19, Americans should not gather in large groups this Christmas season even if people have received the vaccine and a booster. The reason why Fauci said it is not wise to congregate in large groups even if someone has all the shots is that they would likely not know the vaccination status of other people. "There are many of these parties that have 30, 40, 50 people in which you do not know the vaccination status of individuals,"...

I arrived at MSY last night, and listening to 1150 AM WJBO in Baton Rouge now. Just heard a rather profound and sincere apology / clarification from someone involved in the Salvation Army regarding their anti-white nonsense. On a scale of 1 to 10 as far as how well he addressed the wrongs of that racist bullshite, I would rate it a 6 at best. I am not asking anyone to change their minds, but wanted to know if y'all heard it?I am waiting for them to announce they have eliminated their Grand Poobah of Diversity and Inclusion before I drop...

A trademark tiff between America's oldest beer maker and its best-selling beer brand appears to be over before it really began. Last week, D.G. Yuengling & Son demanded its much larger rival, Anheuser-Busch, stop using a tagline for its forthcoming Bud Light Next zero-carb beer. Bud Light had been calling it the "next generation of beer." Yuengling says that's too close to the trademarked slogan it uses for its low-carb brew Flight. Yuengling poked fun at Anheuser-Busch on social media and sent the beer giant a cease-and-desist letter. Anheuser-Busch has since scrubbed its social media accounts of the disputed posts.

President Joe Biden admitted on Wednesday night that he wished his plan to send 500 million Covid-19 tests to people's homes came to him earlier - despite promising nearly three months ago to increase the supply by 'nearly 300 million.'
