President Biden and his family are expected to attend Nantucket’s annual Christmas tree lighting festival Friday after celebrating Thanksgiving at a billionaire pal’s secluded island retreat. The event isn’t on Biden’s public schedule, but first lady Jill Biden told Coast Guard members Thursday that they would attend — shortly after a Nantucket man gave Biden’s motorcade a one-finger salute on Thanksgiving.

If you have been keeping up with what’s going on in the so-called science of AI (Artificial Intelligence), you are aware that the bite into the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is again taking place. The present-day satanic tempters are again not whispering into the ears of mankind, but blatantly and proudly pronouncing that we can and will become like God with our partaking of the technological breakthroughs. The term is itself, obviously, one formed in the dark, rebellious brilliance of Lucifer’s own mind. I’m referring to the term “transhumanism.” We are being promised...

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Santa Ana winds were declining in strength across Southern California on Friday and utilities were restoring power to thousands of customers whose electricity was shut off to prevent wildfires. The seasonal dry winds produced fierce gusts on Thanksgiving Day, toppling trees and causing other damage while “public safety power shutoffs” in high-risk areas interrupted traditional dinner plans. One location in Los Angeles County had an 89 mph (143 kph) gust early Thursday, but the National Weather Service said winds Friday were not nearly as strong. No major wildfires were reported during the peak of the Santa...

Amid all the talk about Hochul and James and Williams vying for governor next year, Republican Rep. Lee Zeldin has a message for New Yorkers: Don’t count me out. The Long Island congressman believes he can ride the same political wave as a fellow Republican, Virginia Gov.-elect Glenn Youngkin, to flip control of the Empire State next year for the first time since 2002.

Although the Millennium Tower is the third heaviest building in the Bay Area, researchers confirm the entire downtown area is sinking as well. “I looked at every building in the Bay Area, so just under a million buildings,” said U.S Geological Survey research geophysicist Tom Parsons, who estimates that over the last century, 3.5 trillion pounds of development and human activity – including the subsidence tied to loss of groundwater -- have led to an estimated settlement of three inches across the entire Bay Area. Turns out that at an estimated 686 million pounds, the Millennium Tower is the third...

In September, I had the privilege of traveling to Southern California to minister at the Behold He Comes conference at Pastor Jack Hibbs’ church. I also met weary remnant believers who are looking for the like-minded and often coming up short. How can we be in these mind-numbing times and not have every single Christian asking what it all means? Maybe because the church is now in Laodicea, and today’s church—with some exceptions—is more interested in conforming than transforming. Their Church Awakened to Wokeness I heard many express dismay that during the Covid shutdown of months to a year or...

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Biden administration on Friday recommended an overhaul of the nation’s oil and gas leasing program to focus on areas that are most suitable for energy development and raise costs for energy companies to drill on public lands and water. The long-awaited report by the Interior Department stops short of recommending an end to oil and gas leasing on public lands, as many environmental groups have urged. But officials said the report would move toward a more responsible leasing process that provides a better to return to U.S. taxpayers for oil and gas drilling on the nation’s...

So here's the news in a nutshell: On Thursday, South African Minister of Health Joe Phaahla announced that an investigation of "cluster outbreaks" of COVID-19 in parts of the country has found a new variant of the coronavirus Initially detected in South Africa, reports CNN, the virus has also popped up in neighboring Botswana and in Hong Kong (carried there apparently by a traveler from South Africa)....

U.S.—New documents recently uncovered by Smithsonian historians confirmed that the group of pilgrims and Indians who gathered for the first Thanksgiving argued vehemently about politics throughout the course of the meal. The newly discovered journal seems to indicate that just after giving thanks for the meal, one Pilgrim from England drank too much mead and began to rant about “making the colonies great again,” kicking off several hours of hostile glances, passive-aggressive remarks, and flat-out argumentation. “Apparently, Uncle Charles was asked to eat at the kids’ table after a tirade about how real patriots need to support King James I,...

Early on Friday morning, a group of “organized burglars” conducted flash raids at several Chicago stores hours before shoppers gathered for Black Friday sales. Between 1:30 a.m. and 3 a.m. a group of men traveling in a 3-car convoy broke into and burglarized four stores in Chicago’s Wicker Park area. A fifth store had its front entrance damaged, but it was not clear if the place was also rifled through, according to a Chicago Police Department report highlighted by crime watch website CWBChicago.com.

Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko told migrants stranded at the border with Poland on Friday that his country would help them to return home if they wanted but would not force them. Thousands of migrants are stuck on the European Union’s eastern frontier, in what the EU says is a crisis Minsk engineered by distributing Belarusian visas in the Middle East, flying them in and pushing them across the border. But Lukashenko said it was the EU that deliberately provoked a humanitarian crisis that needed to be resolved and he told the migrants he would not play politics with their fate.

The woman who always believed she ought to be president believes Joe Biden ought to be popular. The problem, according to Hillary Clinton, is that Americans just don’t understand. The failed Democratic presidential candidate popped in on Rachel Maddow’s MSNBC show on Tuesday to explain why America needs influencers who can explain to the clueless what a great presidency Biden is having. During her segment, she said Americans don’t “appreciate” the significance of what Biden has done, according to an MSNBC transcript.

Rep. Ilhan Omar, one of the first two Muslims elected to Congress, quickly dismissed Rep. Lauren Boebert’s claim that the two had had a fiery interaction in a Capitol elevator. Boebert claimed during a campaign stop over the weekend to have felt safer riding in the elevator with Omar once she determined Omar didn’t “have a backpack,” then said she greeted the Democrat by saying, “Oh, look, the Jihad Squad decided to show up for work today.” The video of Boebert telling her story went around Twitter Thursday and that’s also where Omar responded: “Fact, this buffoon looks down when...

The headline that appeared at the top of the following tweet from the Washington Post, about the massacre in Waukesha, Wisconsin, appeared to have been written by the Babylon Bee. What you see is a screen grab saved by a blogger who writes under the title "Dan from Squirrel Hills' Blog" because the WaPo is still (barely) capable of shame and took it down.
