Yes, one month old, but I don't think this was posted here and it is - I think - interesting. Plus, I noticed a map someone draw based on Pyne's proposal (not in the article).

Something like this is bound to happen, but the exact division may not match the proposal.

China has positions in Africa and Latin America, there are questions about Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, and there are other players too: Turkey has its own plans and so may UK and EU.
