SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Two children and two adults were killed Saturday after a person drove the wrong way on Interstate 80 in the Sierra Nevada, authorities said. A witness called 911 near 5 a.m. to report a wrong-way driver. Santa Cruz County Health Officer Dr. Gail Newel on Friday issued a health order requiring individuals to wear face coverings when indoors regardless of vaccination status. Companies have turned to recruiting unvaccinated workers in the latest effort to combat the nationwide labor shortage that’s preventing companies from bouncing back from the depths of the pandemic. JP Valadez, a worker at NextGen Code Company in Lubbock, Texas, launched NoVaxMandate.org, an online job board, to help connect the unvaccinated workforce to employers in need of more help, CNN Business reported. Since the site’s August launch, it’s drawn more than 2.25 million unique visitors and over 20,000 resumes have been posted, Valadez told CNN. The site recently had roughly 500 active listings, the report said.

Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger said on Sunday that he does not expect China to launch a full-on military attack on Taiwan in the next decade.
